Nice review! Very nice photos! They do the minifigs justice, which are amazing. We really get a lot for our 2 € here and just thinking about the possibilities for creating minifigs after having all the parts from this season, or from all 4 seasons, that makes me dizzy and happy!! Go on, TLC! We really receive more than what we asked for! (Just the missing barcode system from next season, that is gonna make things more difficult and gonna burst the trade-minifigs-thread here in EB!!)

It was a bit cynical - I meant, why, out of the 1000 possible ships and vehicles of the EU, they made the Tie Crawler? They should better do something like the Mynock EDIT: Please feel free to read the short description of the Mynock on Wookieepedia - I admit it has the same coolness as the Falcon. Would make a good set! (edit end) Also, reading on JediNews that the T-6 shuttle will have 2 new Jedi, plus Anakin and Obi-Wan.. It is too sad to see we are almost only getting new and old Jedi in the CW-style. We really need some more PT sets with these guys.
-
The Mynock with Cade Skywalker, Deliah Blue, Jariah Syn and Darth Talon perhaps? I am sure the EU ship from TFU didn't sell too good. But still, I would love to see a cool ship from EU that is a bit more prominent and has cooler minifigs than, let's say the Tie Crawler!

I don't want to be Captain Negative today (guess to remember written some pessimism rubbish somewhere else today..) but I am with Praiter Yed. It is photoshopped or printed or whatever. I am not saying the pen is not that thin, I just say that no human being could possibly perform that. But it is amazing anyway! Love it even if I have something against tattoos in real life.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
Zzz replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Still a cakewalk compared to Metal Gear Solid. But you are right. Yeah and we are getting a minifig based on that... damn it. I really hope they make her Bariss-Offee-ish rather than with cute-protruding eyes! Same for Asajj. Perhaps a new torso and new head? I hope we get her funny fan-ship (new soft foldable plastic piece, TLC?), it was already in the CW animated and I loved it! Thanks alot for the link, really enjoyed it. Kamino looks brilliant and I cannot await it to see the first episodes! But still, what bugs me is that damn 1.5 trooper. Brings me nightmares. All my idea about the phase 1-2-3 armor is just wiped out if that is true. Yes, it gets more confusing and mixed up. -
I didn't say I could do it better, I just said it has no opening canopy... and no landing gear - that's all.

Trading Collectable Minifigs Series 1, 2 and 3
Zzz replied to danim's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
6€ the other way round. ( =7.65$) -
You are from Italy? Toyshops is the way to go. Try to find 7667. Best if you have a car and live on the country side. Or phone them! Forget big cities like Milan and Rome though. Too many kids, AFoLs and tourists! No chance. Otherwise you should be ready to pay at least a 4-5€ plus shipping for one on the internet. Seriously, it was a Stormtrooper BP! I guess there are some out there who wanted some Stormie armys.. And think about how the situation is going to change. I mean, we had a BP for 15€ in 2008, no Stormies in 2009 and one for 2010. Nothing even rumored for 2011. Perhaps an Endor pack with ONE in 2012. So: They won't get any cheaper! In Bocca al Lupo!

I am not a 100% sure but by the pics, but this one has no landing gear, right? This adds to the non opening canopy..

I guess it was around 2002.. (Sorry, couldn't resist!)

Hello! My name is Lee-Ann and I'm addicted to lego
Zzz replied to computershopper's topic in Hello! My name is...
Welcome to EB! Good to see some girls around! And yes, sigh... we are all addicted... I had to browse the set numbers and I very much like 4563, good set that is!! Try to find a Metroliner, most people (ahem, including me) say it is by far the best.. Have a good time here! -
They might make an additional Theed Palace set in the future. Wouldn't be the first time they make sets that belong together, but releasing them after another. Ok, I did some research in the internet and what some on this page call so easily "phase 1.5 trooper" - can someone please elaborate? Cause as far as I know the normal, standard uniform changes only from 1 to 2 to Stormtrooper. They started using their colours though for showing their taskforce, not their rank anymore. And since they started doing it, still wearing phase 1, you could depict this as 1.5 - what would make the bomb squad a 1.5, their colour doesn't show their rank. Another possible explanation for "1.5" that I found is that the specialised uniforms could be meant, like eg. ARF or Swamp Trooper or Marines. Uniforms that came out while the standard trooper still had his phase 1, but lasted till the establishment of the Empire. So.. might someone please explain. Cause I didn't find ANY evidence at all about a standard uniform between phase 1 and 2. Thanks a lot!

I would say "Imperial" is no mistake and it is the one from the final scene of RotS with Vader, Tarkin and Palpatine, being dark grey and probably having either a TIE fighter pilot or a black clone pilot. (They were really fast in painting over all those republic red btw, and still it took them 19 years to build the Death Star?) Though I hope it might be a republic one, with the pilot we had in Palpatines shuttle (phase 2 pilot with enclosed helmet). Would be more useful to me! An imperial one is completely off the timelines all the other ships were from. I just hope they continue with the trend of bringing out PT sets, not only the CW ones. This year ARC170, Tri fighter and Palpis shuttle were so nice! It's good to see they didn't forget PT!

Hey agi2007! Sorry to bother, but you have bigger ones of those? Mind posting them? thanks in advance!!!
-
Since they are improving a lot on the OT/PT minifigs, I would love to see sets with - Anakin (the Episode III fighter) - Padme (with the PoP hairpiece and the silver Yacht) - Obi-Wan - Mace Windu Also some other Jedi are desperately needed and I don't want to wait for their appearance in the CW nor do I want those versions. Bad enough Ayla is very CloneWarsy. We need - Ki-Adi-Mundi - Agen kolar - Saesee Tin - Shaak Ti at least. Make a Jedi temple, TLC, but not from the CW please. It could be a 2000 pieces set for 200 Euro. Throw in some clones, a small RAG (like Vaders Tie from the Death Star) and basta! That's it. We will buy it!
-
I am pretty sure that it is an E1 set and they will keep the mold, which worked pretty well. Like Chewbacca, or C3PO. MAYBE they give it some eyes. But you don't need to get the new ones. 30 Euros for 2 Gungans seems an expensive army builder, at least to me.

When did LEGO start using SNOT techniques ?
Zzz replied to drdavewatford's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Very interesting things here. What do you (or a kid) build when getting some pieces. How do you connect them, etc. Do kids learn to use the pieces in a better way by getting advanced models? Or does the whole environment force someone reasoning more out of the box? Was the society and environment in the 70s and 80s different in a way of not motivating or provocing you to think horizontal AND vertical, as refered to building Lego? Is it a matter of inteligence, environment or simply, the new pieces? Anyway, it's difficult to break it down to one specific set when they started SNOT technics. In general, a good example are the SW sets, if you compare the ones made ten years ago and these days, there is a huge difference in advanced technics. Actually noticing some advanced snot technics was the City trucks for me though. But then, it is difficult to get the meaning of SNOT. The front and back lights of the simple cars in the 80s, were they SNOT as well? I think it should be several parts together, forming an advanced design compared to the SOT, no? 4483 AT-AT is also a nice example. I remember fans being really scared off by it's look when it came out. Today it is the most normal thing in the world. I realise I didn't give any answers so far, just some stupid brainstorming. To sum it up, SNOT came up during the past 10 years, around 2004 I would say. -
The magnet set with Ahsoka and Anakin popped up somewhere already?

1 - By removing the support arch in the crew cabin - did it get more instable? 2 - what kind of controls did you use for the pilots? Technic T-piece? Connected to what? Oh and last but not least, the pic of the gunship in your sig is not a link, you might want ti fix it! I saw it and found this quickly, no worries, but the other ones are links so I thought it's meant to be one as well. Always attracted by the gunship I am, love it, one of my favorite sets with very few flaws, you managed to get rid of them, very nice work!

I am just surprised that we get a 3rd issue of this theme, since lots of action themes had one or two waves.. ever since. And it might be just me, but I don't find Atlantis so immensely superior to the other underwater-themes, Agents, Dino Attack or whatever. Still need that shark guy though..

Had the box in my hand, was down to 50€. Several occasional things completed the reason not to get it. I was on the way somewhere, wasn't prepared to spend money or to carry that thing around.. Cause I remember, it was a huge box, and a heavy one too. And you all know the story, you are busy, you forget. There are SW and other things you still need to get. And so on and on. And then the other day, you remember, gone it is. I have a few of the human's robots and some minifigs extra from BL, and I love them. I would lie if I say I regret not getting this. I would lie if I say I wouldn't like to have it. My favorite parts are the human and the mech refitting areas. Some parts seem a bit naked though, but just by the sheer size of it and it needs the size cause of the mechs! I always thought about it being a busy place with parked mechs and lots of minifigs, and I bet it will look amazing! Thanks a lot for the review!! PS I like the stickers. Make the models really anime-look-alike. Love that.

K-D you are the man! Thanks for posting all these info! Police sounds boring to me since there is no SWAT team but I might check out the prisoner transport perhaps, we'll see. (not if there is too much blue in it, this blue/white police freaks me out. Hate it.) Space port sounds nice, very classic! Launchpad, shuttle, truck, moonbuggy, all sounds interesting. No civilian sets, well well.. We got plenty this and last year I would say. There might be a few to come in the summer. With some NEW torsos. Looking at you, TLC!
-
Thanks a lot, K-D and your toy shop clerk! The news though are horrible, at least to me. I would have bet money that we get Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan (long time we haven't seen those guys), Panaka and finally... Padme..! Too bad. I still have some Gungans, even Kaadus somewhere, and no need for Battle Droids in the near future.. Too bad.

Partly agree here. I am just afraid vehicles (not the sets but the actual designs) that first appear in the TV show are just not on the same level as the ones we know from the movies. They usually remind me more of something that should be in a badly designed Nintendo 64 video game. Doesn't really give me the Star Wars feel.

One of the games - if they make a Harry Potter game, why not SW? And still: Eta-2 new version and something EU, perhaps a set with Mara Jade.. would be lovely...
