  1. Sorry about that, it was totally unintentional.
  2. Doc ya old smoothie. No problems except feeling like a Lego junkie.
  3. Woah, and there was me feeling guilty when I had 3 unopened sets :O It's a good point buying sets so you don't miss out when they climb in price. I've been wondering if those Jurassic World sets will ever get discounted or if I should just crack and buy the one with that new bubble piece.
  4. Ok so in between posts I bought another set off Amazon because it had a cross plate and some cheery pieces in it. Officially beyond help.
  5. Thanks Graham. Thank you. I have used those bricks as blinds before, I think they work well.
  6. Hi all, Here's my latest moc, I wanted to capture the urban decay of 70's NYC and try my hand at a brownstone building. Then I added dinosaurs for obvious reasons. Hope ya like it :)
  7. Well I guess it's a relative question. If I had unlimited funds and space I would probably just keep buying sets. It would get kind of joyless I expect. I think keeping an eye out for new elements and being more selective in my buying habits might help with the shrinking space issue.
  8. Damn impressive. It looks massive. You should put in a minifig for scale.
  9. Nice job. Compact and has a nice balance to the design. Cool colour choices too. Some mocs live in drawers for months before ending up finished. Glad it saw the light of day :)
  10. I started off watching this guy on YouTube. There's loads of how to build lego videos on there.
  11. Maybe the question should be do Lego fans have addictive personalities? XD
  12. I have been buying Lego for 14 months. Yesterday I finished an moc that for the first time that I didn't need to order any additional parts to complete. Now the thought has crept into my mind that now I have "enough" Lego. I am not saying I have enough to build a massive space ship for Shiptember for example but I have a good selection of parts and plenty of mini figs. Conceivably I could use my existing collection to build lots of mocs. However out of habit I am still checking prices online. I want (need) more colours, duplicate minifigs, more printed tiles. So my question is is there a point when you have enough Lego? Or do I need to check into a Lego detox clinic?
  13. Knights + Sci fi = Fun. Hopefully they aren't just buildable action figures but a theme featuring mini figs etc. Odd themes provide unusual parts which are always good for the moc builders. I'm sure traditional castle will be back. It's got a wide appeal and will be revisited when the time is right. Maybe after the pirates run.
  14. Nice parts use, especially that big rock piece. Like it.
  15. Such a great moc. Looks good and is funny too. Win.
  16. Aww what? This is a bummer. I kept checking amazon for the 3rd wave. Really wanted the jet and ocean hq. Pity it was a great theme. Needed a TV show to sell it to kids though.
  17. Beautiful sculpting. They are all really good. I would love to see then in higher res. Maybe you should try Flickr, it allows you to post very Large images.
  18. Thanks for the review. I can't wait for the release. This series is really different and I think shows great creativity from the designers. The scientist's face is a pleasant surprise. Really like the wolf guys design. It's all good really. I expect a monster based explosion of moc's this October.
  19. This is a treat idea.
  20. Now that is a proper man cave.
  21. Nice building skills. Captured well at this scale too.
  22. Hi all, Over the past two days I've noticed Amazon uk are cutting prices on lots of big sets. I think they are trying to shift the stock. I got 31026 the bike shop and cafe for £39.97 rrp £64.99 and the Super secret drop ship for £35.99 rrp £69.99 The Flying Pheonix was half price for instance but was sold out quickly. Prices are changing fast and the sets are selling out in a few hours. Check out http://brickset.com/bargainwatch or brick badger for details.
  23. I use brick owl constantly. Why use it over Bricklink? It's just so easy to use and convenient. You don't need to "learn" how to use it. It works just like any online shop. Here's how I usually go through it if I'm looking for a part. I usually enter a set number. Click on inventory. Select part and color. Then it lists sellers and prices. Select the seller and amount of parts. Checkout brings up pay pal. Hit pay and your done. Just like eBay. Some sellers do request you select shipping quote then you need to wait until they get back to you. But it's all done via the site. So it's self contained. You can place multiple orders with the same or different sellers. The selection of parts tends to be smaller than Bricklink. I only use Bricklink as a last resort because of it's horrible interface and antiquated payment system.
  24. Wow you are so good at these animal builds.
  25. LOL! Just a little Easter egg for the keen eyed comics fan :)
