  1. Hi Dwalin I hope you are not offended. You have great building skills. This is obvious to all. We just love blood and carnage
  2. Thank you. Best director eh? Lol, if only there was such a category.
  3. Ho Ho! Now that's definitely "out for blood" I like the scene choice of a volcano sacrifice. The lava is very nice as is the half charred body. Well done sir :)
  4. Lovely design, colours and techniques used on those buildings. It looks like a truly charming Lego fishing village. The base is great, and I love that tree you built, very clever. The pictures are very good too. My only complaint is that it's a bit too peaceful for me :P Love your stuff on Flickr BTW :) Good luck.
  5. I liked the first one better :P Nah, only joking, this is much more gory. I did like the first version too, especially the pirates that where waiting to attack behind the wall. The calm before the storm. It would be cool to see the different versions together, like a before and after.
  6. Hey thanks, I'm glad you noticed all those details.
  7. And another thing, isn't that you sig fig about to be violated in the second photo?
  8. Great building skills on the town layout, buildings and minifigs. I'm not so sure about the subject matter though. It's seems too serous.
  9. I had this set and loved it. 1984, finally some good guys and bad guys and a bunch of weapons. Played with it for hours. So good to see it reviewed here.
  10. Wow, brilliant! It's looks like a Mak kinda theme.
  11. Ha, it's perfect. Great looking character. I bought a head from the Knights kingdom to build a Warhammer 40 K Space marine. Hope it turns out as good as this.
  12. But don't your Mocs have all those things in them everyday anyway doc?
  13. LOL! I like how you made the water, very neat, it works well.
  14. When I first started building I made the Mocs first. Then one time after spending 2 weeks on a moc I took some photos that were disappointing and didn't show off my model well. That's when I realised it was not just a Lego moc I was making but a picture as well. Now I often take pictures as I work to make sure I am thinking of the image too. What's the best angle for the picture, should it be landscape or portrait etc.. I was thinking of posting my wip photos for this build on my Flickr account. I think it's interesting to see how an idea changes from start to finish. Like I said I do have over 100 of them.
  15. Thanks very much. I saw your entry as I follow you on Flickr, it's really creative especially regarding the mini figs.I built this moc starting with the framing of the scene. Blocked it out in basic bricks then gradually added pieces. Usually people build a moc then think about the photo. I found this method creates good images which I think is just as important as a good build. Of course this way I ended up with about 140 photos XD before it was finished. Hmmm..maybe that makes me seem a little crazy :P
  16. Very creative, you made your own Blue coats. And of course those rocks rock. Cool build.
  17. :O you certainly embraced the evil and gory theme doc. Disturbing is right XD
  18. Thanks mate. The cannon ball piece has a connection for a stud on the bottom, it's attached to the trans pieces from the cannon, nothing clever I'm afraid. If you mean the head it's just sitting on top of the ball.I don't know if anyone else uses tools when building but I use tweezers to move and place the smaller loose pieces and mini figs. There's a bunch of them on the deck too. Because of this if I accidentally smack the base of the moc they all shift and the monkey and the pirate on the ropes start swinging and take ages to stop, making it a pain to photograph. Thank you. I like your entry. I too saw it today on Flickr, very bloody and well built.
  19. Awesome. I always love seeing good characters ❤️ I think it would be good to have some figure building sections in future to encourage more character builds in general.
  20. Very nice fort and scene. Well done.
  21. Ha ha XD I did try and make sure it had a focus on gory action. Well, pirates love their rum, they carry it everywhere even into battle. Regarding the placement of minifigs I repositioned them many times, every time I changed something I took a picture. I ended up with over 100 photographs from start to finish of the build. I saw Mocs with rockets and shells before so I thought I'd give it a go. Thanks for the kind words. Now that's the reaction I wanted :D Always good to get a laugh.
  22. Oh the humanity! Thank you, happy you like it :) Thank you, appreciate it. Thanks buddy! You know she did have a screaming face originally but I changed it to add some variety. Also I think she has been driven mad by the Pirates and is having a little bit of a breakdown:O
  23. I'm sure there will be another space theme eventually. It's a broad theme.
