  1. Episode 7 is now on BIONICLE.com, and Episode 8 is listed. We're almost done....
  2. It might be because Lego is afraid that boys won't want a pink minifig, since they'll think it's a "girls" toy.
  3. I hope not, but of course he will become leader. I mean, every single Toa team was lead by a fire-character--and really, the same applied to the Turaga also. Also, they've dedicated half of the episodes to Tahu, so of course he's still the most important. Yeah, I felt that way too. I had such high hopes after the Italian version, but now.....He sounded exactly like the narrator, and he was way too serious. But Gali's voice doesn't bother me too much. I mean, it still sounds like a man, but it's better than her sounding like some helpless girl.....
  4. ....What? Just because new movies are coming out doesn't mean that they will NEVER make anything from the PT. Think of it like this: Rebels premiered in fall of 2014, and they made a winter 2015 wave dedicated to it--but we still saw a fair amount of OT/PT sets, in both the winter and summer wave. The same applies for TFA: they won't stop making PT sets; they'll just limit how many are made. As a matter of fact, it would be an incredibly stupid choice on Lego's part to stop making PT sets. As new movies are released, new fans are going to be introduced to Star Wars for the first time ever. These new fans will also see the PT movies for the first time--and they'll want toys from the movies.
  5. Episode 7 was pretty good, and I especially love all the Toa's interactions with each other. And I just LOVE how Pohatu has that reserved-but-cool attitude. And really, Tahu's voice was so great this time, and I hope the voice actor sticks with it. But two things bother me: 1) Kopaka sounded quiet, almost like he was shy--or, dare I say, even afraid. In the Italian version, he sounded so assertive and strong, but now.....And also, what happened to his "I didn't slip" voice, where he sounded very British? Now, he sounds generic. 2) WHAT IS WRONG WITH LEWA?!? He sounds so serious, and that laugh was so unnatural. I don't mind having one narrator, but he needs to at least try......
  6. Okay, I edited my post, since I don't feel like arguing about ROTS now. But you guys can't deny that the game was spoiler-ish....
  7. But the fact that they showed he was burned up/scarred, and was "fixed" by a machine.....It's not a big spoiler, but it at least hinted as to HOW he got in the Darth Vader suit.
  8. Yeah, Disney is going to want to keep everything a secret for as long as possible. Names could be spoilers; character designs could even be spoilers. And they know the dangers--remember 2005? Lego was careless when they released the video game, since it included many spoilers, like the clones turning on Jedi, Obi-Wan fighting Anakin on Mustafar, Padme's death, etc.
  9. *I'll assume you mean Makuta.*: I doubt it, since Ekimu tells the Protectors of the prophecy of the Toa--why would Makuta tell them that? But Makuta is somewhere, obviously......So here's my idea: the red pieces on all of the villain sets represent that they are being controlled by Makuta--sort of like infected masks from Gen 1. So the sets with the most red (LOSS and Skull Grinder) are completely Makuta controlled, like he has possessed their bodies.
  10. Yeah, those boomerangs are just terrible. Floppy, oversized, weird (seriously, who decided to give him boomerangs that turn into jet engines?!) Hmm.....I think I may actually like Skull Slicer more than I do Pohatu. At least Slicer has a cool function/weapons.....
  11. A total of $570 (before taxes) for the TFA sets....So my grand total for 2015 will be $1060, more than $200 over my normal spending limit. My wallet is ready.
  12. This. This is what I meant. Really, when I was having the conversation (a long time ago) about Old Republic vs. the movies themselves, I was advised to stop since it was unrelated to this topic--the same should be said for the TFA discussion. Talking about characters and their roles in the story is not related to the LEGO sets in any way.
  13. I have to disagree. Elemental-colored weapons would blend too much with the set itself, and then there is no contrast between weapon and person. (When the Mata first came out, I thought their weapons were actually part of them). Oh no....Could it be?.......#HeavyMetalMakuta2016-VS.-#FunMetalTakanuva2016FTW!!!!
  14. Oh, I understand that they will be unveiled in September. But I remember when someone had said this (paraphrased): That is pretty spoiler-ish, even if it turns out to be untrue. And it has nothing to do with the sets themselves.
  15. You're not alone. I've been trying to avoid any possible spoilers, but people keep posting things like this: "Hey guys, look at this: [link to concept image] Did you see that? It's from TFA. Apparently that's the main villain! :O " When they should do it like this: "Hey guys, I found this leaked concept image from TFA, so if you don't want spoilers, you should avoid this. [link to concept image] The solution is not "Well, just stay off Eurobricks!" People should just be considerate and use the spoiler tag.
  16. I don't understand why we get them in sets. Most of the Toa have their upper arms in grey, and then black forearms, and it just looks terrible.
  17. Spoilers! But seriously, I wouldn't jump to any conclusions just yet......What you're talking about is based on possibly fake concept art and fan theories.
  18. Personally, I don't really mind the use of metallic pieces in the 2015 BIONICLE sets. The metallic colors sort of unite all the Toa's color schemes--like the Toa Nuva, they each have their personal elemental colors, and then the silver to unify them as a team. The only thing that bugs me is how half the Toa have silver, and the other half have gold. Now, I am completely against trans-shells. I don't know why, but they just look terrible to me; I would much rather trans-bone pieces, since it looks more "natural" to me. Also, can we not call them Toa Okoto? What about just "Masters"......Or the Toa New-va?
  19. Yeah, they're just slightly bigger sets than the other Toa. I mean, Tahu has only 4 more pieces than Lewa.....That reminds me, IMO, Tahu is a terrible build. His legs are too long, and because his mask is too wide, his chest/neck area looks too squashed. Anyway, I finally got all the Toa (and completed my winter wave collection!), and I'd have to rank them like this: 6) Pohatu, 5) Tahu, 4) Onua, 3) Lewa, 2) Kopaka, and 1) Gali. In terms of Protectors, I'd say: 6) POF, 5) POI, 4) POW, 3) POS, 2) POE, and 1) POJ. In terms of the winter villains, LOSS is #1!!!!
  20. I didn't think it was that big of a deal......But I do need to point out that you typed "funmental" and "gunmental" in your post above. I promise, I won't turn THAT typo into a new joke.....
  21. I just doubt that they would kill off all of the Toa this early on. And also, that's pretty dark: ALL of the Toa die in the Ancient City, being brutally murdered by zombies? We were barely able to handle when Matoro died, and you want each of the original Toa to fall? Finally, someone who understands! But really, I don't think the masks are infected......What if the gold is melting off, exposing raw elemental energy which gives the Toa even more power? So, for example, the trans-Hau gives Tahu a complete control over fire, and he becomes a.....Fire Lord? Wait, no..... EDIT: I just realized what I said: Toa are exposed to energy, which gives them more power and new forms......And just a few pages back, I was complaining about the Toa Nuva.
  22. Meh.....I'm really undecided on that set. On one hand, it's plain, undersized, and has no interior, not to mention that Sabine is the wrong color. On the other hand......Sabine, even though she has the wrong color scheme, looks amazing. Also, that astromech.... Yeah, I'll buy it.
  23. Well, according to rumors: the TFA sets won't be released until September, and the other summer wave (the one with Tyderium) will be released late June, but the sets usually pop up a week or two before the official release date.
  24. I usually never buy multiples of any set, since my budget just doesn't allow for it (I'm a LEGO Star Wars collector, and buying one wave of those sets would cost, like $400)........But I'll make an exception for the BIONICLE winter wave! Really, the pieces are just so amazing, especially in the Protector sets. And my self-MOC is hungry for new parts..... But I never understood the appeal of "parting out" sets. I can't bring myself to destroy any sets in my collection--including System sets.
  25. Not sure if this is new, but on the BIONICLE website, each episode has a few screenshots below it. It's nothing special, but at least I now have a new wallpaper....... My problem with Von Nebula (and most of the other villains) is that these traits, and the characters themselves, are never really explored. Like someone else said, we are told that they have these traits, but they are rarely displayed, and so every villain just blends into a generic bad-guy. .....Which is why he specifically targeted Stormer, and practically did no damage to anything else at the end of Rise of the Rookies.
