  1. So I bought Final Duel today, and I must say that the new Vader helmet is a lot better in person. The back should be a bit more angled, but overall, I think it looks great.
  2. I quite like Gali's color scheme--are the colors distributed in a sensible way? No.....But why does it need to? Personally, I think that Onua and Kopaka have the worst color scheme--gold and silver do not go together........ That reminds me, I was thinking the other day that maybe the $20 Toa (Kopaka, Onua, and Tahu) should not have used gold as one of their secondary colors, because it makes the golden mask seem less special. On Gali, Lewa, and Pohatu, the gold mask looks out of place, and it draws more attention. But on the other Toa, the gold mask blends in......Too bad Tahu and Kopaka have the printed gold chest plates, because if they didn't, I would have switched both of them to all elemental colors.
  3. I wouldn't take the Infiltrator if they gave it to me for free. Here's a comparison between the set, and the actual infiltrator: *snip* The front it too bulky, the shape is all wrong, and all of the gentle curves/slopes are now sharp angles. And above all, the color blocking is just....awful. (and inaccurate). </rant>
  4. Why do people consider the studs to be a problem? It's made of LEGO, what do you expect? I actually think that exposed studs on a set help push the LEGO aesthetic, which, IMO, improves the look. (like on the Sandcrawler or CTT). And anyway, the studs aren't that bothersome in person. I own Pre-Vizsla's starfighter, and the I'm certainly not losing sleep over the exposed studs, or the backwards plates.
  5. ^Can there be some kind of a rule against pretending to get an exciting development, only for it to be some lame joke? (I'm always fooled by those posts..... )
  6. 2015's theme is skeletons and skulls, and next year, it'll be ghosts. Then 2017 will feature the epic showdown between the Toa and the Lord of Jack-o'-Lanterns.
  7. Oh no.....With LEGO's current love for trans-colors in CCBS, we'll get trans bones AND trans shells next year.....You know what? Why not make all the pieces in a trans-color, and we can just have sets that look like ghosts.
  8. I love how we see a blurry (and, more than likely, preliminary) image, and people are already hating on it. Personally, I like the look of it so far, but I will wait until we have clearer images before I give out real opinions.
  9. This is PART 2 of my first stop motion, Clone 01354: E1: The Outbreak. I think that it is much more improved than the previous episode. https://youtu.be/e2R2ktUz5Bg Hope you all enjoy!
  10. As much as I would love upgraded Toa next year, I'm just afraid that they will be copies of their current versions, with just a few pieces changed. Take Onua for example: his character is basically the muscle of the team, and he's portrayed as being burly. With the current CCBS pieces, there are very few ways that the burly figure can be portrayed--he uses short bone and armor pieces, a large chest piece, and the wide torso build. How much more can that build change, while keeping the same feel? Honestly, in order to keep the feel of all of the characters, they would need to keep the same build, more or less, because their builds have helped to establish their characters. That leaves only the armor add-ons to "upgrade" each of the Toa--leading to an Inika-build scenario. If we had new characters, however, they can all have their own little gimmick, a personalized build, etc, because they are not established as having a specific design.
  11. Probably. But really, why would it matter? I am beyond sick and tired of people whining about Disney's involvement.
  12. I think that the Italian version was the best, in terms of voice acting. Whoever the voice actor was, he had such emotion in his voice, and each character sounded great.......But I still think that the English narrator does a pretty fine job (especially on Pohatu! ) And also, I'm calling it now: the narrator is the Protector of Jungle. He is so important in the story right now!! But really, it's a shame that we didn't get to see any of the other Protectors' personalities......
  13. But the narrator sounds nothing like POF, so it can't be him.....But I do hope that the narrator ends up being a canon character. (But I, personally, don't believe the whole "baby villager=Takua=chronicler=narrator" theory).
  14. Yeah, the interview actually gave a lot of interesting information--and I'm glad to hear that these animations were, more or less, an experiment. While I do greatly enjoy the animations, they are just too short....But turn the art style into a full-length TV show, and then I'm sure BIONICLE Gen 2 would be even better. But I do feel bad for LOSS.....Not even Merlin Mann likes him.
  15. The planet series was definitely better than the microfighter line. The minifigs were better--we got Sebulba, Lobot, a Rebel trooper, R4-P17, and a Naboo pilot! With the Microfighters, the only unique minifigures were the Phase II clone and Theron Nett. And as a collector, it was much more satisfying to display a pretty decent model of a ship, rather than the worse-than-chibi microfighters. And really, who didn't have fun making displays with the planets?
  16. Hey, when will the summer sets be released? I know most LEGO themes are releasing their summer waves now, so is it the same?
  17. So, am I the only one who fell for this? Ugh, I was so excited too......
  18. .....Remember last year's MTT? It wasn't noticed until it popped up on shelves in June. We didn't get a single leaked image.
  19. Gali x Lewa, because one is great at telling jokes, and one can't tell jokes. Opposites attract, people. Also, MonkeyChud, I clicked the link in your signature......
  20. ....I feel bad for Slicer, because no one likes him. I really wish that they had given him a trans-green (or, even trans-orange) Skull Spider mask. That would have made the set a whole lot better.
  21. Considering I'm a LEGO Star Wars collector, this $90 pricetag for all of the summer BIONICLE sets makes me giggle. The Star Wars sets this year will be setting me back around $700.....At this point, LEGO collecting is more addiction than hobby. But really, I cannot wait for the summer sets and story. Those set descriptions really showed that the summer has a lot of potential.....
  22. I have nothing against the Imperial Assault Carrier in the show--it's just that the LEGO set is undersized, and the build is basic. There's pretty much no interior, the minifigs are just....bad (Sabine's color is all wrong, and Kallus, the pilots, and the officer are all in cheaper sets), and overall, it's just not worth a $130 price tag. Much like last year's Star Destroyer, they made a pretty decent mid-scale ship with some mediocre minifigures, and practically nothing on the inside.
  23. I really think that Grinder will end up being Makuta (and I still hope that LOSS was really Makuta....). It would give some reason for the fight between Grinder and Ekimu. If Grinder is Makuta, and Grinder looks heavy-metal.....#HeavyMetalMakutaVSFunmetalTakanuva2016Confirmed!! (You walked right into it..)
  24. ....Because people like to express valid complaints? If you want mindless praising of all these sets, go watch the review videos.
  25. Thanks! Oh, definitely. But who is to say that there won't be any more Makuta sets in the future?
