  1. I think people forget Lego is about creativity. Whether we like it or not, Lego Star Wars has never been completely accurate, far from it. This is especially evident when it comes to sets and inclusions of figures. In recent years the demand for the highest-degree of accuracy has skyrocketed; but the Lego Star Wars does not cave in. Go and check all those sets you feel nostalgic about.
  2. Probably me waffling, but perhaps this will encourage people to spend their money for August on these sets…
  3. Advent Calendar is the best of the August wave! 332nd Battle Pack would have been good - shame, the figures are terrible imo. That black line is so off-putting. Yoda’s Starfighter - Official images help the set, but then again it just makes me want Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor more and more. Hands down one of the worst choices I’ve seen in recent years given the alternative! Yavin Base - I actually really like the style of these sets - they give me hope for other sets like this E.g., Petranaki Arena. But, play features and figures aside, the price for this set is outrageous. I do think it lacks another Fleet Trooper, too. Not the worst, but feels a little incomplete.
  4. Deep discounts are unlikely given it’s a 4+ set - Atleast what has been seen recently with the AT-ST for example.
  5. Surprisingly, though, and I completely will take the slander, I will be purchasing the mechs.
  6. Nice idea, I’d love to see your ideas in the Future Star Wars thread! Seeing the solitary Rebel Fleet Trooper in the Yavin Temple, I am almost certain we are getting a Rebel Fleet Trooper Battle Pack!
  7. Promobricks have said Lego have changed the price… to 21(not sure currency!) I might be completely wrong, but I think the Battle Droid (and the other you can just about see), is a new set. Why? 1. unfamiliar box art 2. Posture of Battle Droid (not attacking the vehicle, suggesting it’s a Seperatist vehicle) God, I am sad.
  8. I think the entire minifig list is there, no? I don’t like it because it feels too open and disjointed, and then I also see the price! But, I am not saying I don’t like it so to speak, because there are some elements I appreciate. The Y-wing build is nice, and the Temple front looks decent He has both! I like that bit. Only one Fleet Trooper is really poor, imo.
  9. I’d have said the same, but the box art/artwork is different in the catalogue leaks compared to the box art of these respective sets. My thoughts… Swamp Speeder - Bad, really bad. Yoda Starfighter - Unneccesary. Yavin Temple - Less minifigures than the rumours suggested (1 Fleet Trooper?!), and overall looks incomplete and empty. Pass, pass, pass.
  10. Stormtrooper mech looks Atleast somewhat in-universe, and that imperial logo is really useful
  11. Sadly I think so too; pretty flawed concept really.
  12. I don’t think mechs are the worst things in the world, but that’s because I’m judging their existence on the fact the rest of the year seemingly has not been compromised by the existence and release of them. Price is bad. I’d expect discounts, and would recommend for those interested in them to purchase at 30% off, minimum. They’re a good little gift for children, however. Shame there isn’t a hero mech, seems quite odd! If I was a child I can’t really play with the 3 releasing this summer. On the other hand, if a brand new shiny Phase II Clone Trooper was released next year, I think people would view them a little differently. Let’s see what the following wave brings (I can’t see them stopping after one wave)…
  13. Ye man, my guys have said! To be honest I’ve had egg on my face once this year already with the April 1st leaks, so who knows
  14. It’s quite common these days, sadly.
  15. I know, I know. It’s the hope that kills you. It is truly shambolic, a major stain on this theme and that’s putting it mildly. Atleast a month away. More likely to be end of June. We also have to factor in that fact many release September, especially the exciting ones.
  16. I have amended my preference list. 1. Pegasus Flying Horse 2. Crocodile Car 3. Mateo and Z-Blob the Robot 4. Stable of Dream Creatures 5. Mr. Oz’s Spacebus 6. Nightmare Shark Ship 7. Izzie and Bunchu the Bunny 8. Mrs. Castillo’s Turtle Van 9. Fantastical Tree House 10. Grimkeeper the Cage Monster 11. Dream Village
  17. Never going to happen. Its a shame, though. I’d purchase a few AT-TE’s, otherwise. My only thought/prediction is once the AT-TE retires, they’ll do a 212th Legion style battle pack (or £24.99) and have the Crab droid, too. They MIGHT rectify it then…
  18. What do we see for 2024 then?
  19. First, you’ve answered your own question. Lego could not have done better because of Disney. Second, whilst I certainly will not dismiss criticisms of the minifigure lineup, let’s see what Lego has in store for us in 2024, especially January. A battle pack, Bo Katan’s Mando Fighter, and a Nevarro Cabin could easily give us great sets and figures. Battle Pack - Beskar SuperCommando’s and Pretorian Guards Mando Fighter - Axe Woves, Moff Gideon Nevarro Cabin - Greef Karga So, whilst I am speculating here, I think a bit of patience and perspective can go a long way on this matter.
  20. Agreed. Completely agree. Knight statues and a Troll would have made it worthy. I think many will share that view. Can’t wait to see videos soon!
  21. I like this theme. Although it is unlikely I will purchase any, I can appreciate them for what they are. Below, is my order of preference. Here goes... 1. Nightmare Shark Ship - Great design; good price. Fantastic set all round. 2. Pegasus Flying Horse - A solid display piece here. For the price, I love the design. 3. Mrs. Castillo's Turtle Van - Oozes fun! I really like the dual-use of the truck, whilst the turtle gives off Mario vibes. 4. Stable of Dream Creatures - This would be second if there was an extra buildable creature. Feels less of a stable as a result. Whilst the build is one of my favourite, the price is not. 5. Mr. Oz's Spacebus - If I have ever seen a set that looks to be inspired by Fortnite, here it is! I do like this set, especially the large engine. This one is perhaps unlucky not to be higher up. The figures are good, too. I just think the other sets are better, mainly due to my own preference rather than pure objectivity. 6. Fantastical Tree House - The price is fantastic, and the set is good. Personally, I am not a huge fan of treehouses and I feel the set offers very little minifigure wise. 7. Mateo and Z-Blob - This would have been higher if the enemy build was better. I absolutely love Z-Blob, especially his weapon! Great Price. 8. Crocodile Car - I really like the colour-blend between blue and red here, but the price is awful! That Cooper figure is really good, however, which softens the blow. I do not like the alternate jeep. 9. Grimkeeper the Cage Monster - I hate the price. It should have been £24.99 rather than £31.99. But, this gives Power Miners vibes and I knew as a child I'd have loved trapping my figures in the torso of the Monster. As I personally like this, it is higher than Izzie. I think it can count itself fortunate, though... 10. Izzie and Bunchu the Bunny - This one is cute, and a great way to get a nice-looking figure. I feel it needs another evil set to have any fun here, though. I think it is unlucky to be this low down. 11. Dream Village - As an exclusive, this is severely lacking. But, I was surprised to find this at the bottom of my list which is testament to my enjoyment of the theme. Needed one figure, at the minimum. The price, however, is fantastic. Yet, it still doesn't give me any desire to buy the set. Overall, I think this is a solid wave of sets. My main gripe is the lack of original figures in some of the sets. Children will love this; I do hope it sells well enough. Some are visually stunning, and others look great fun! But for various reasons, if I was to commit budget to this wave, I'd be looking at something like this: Pegasus Flying Horse, Stable of Dream Creatures, Mateo and Z-Blob, and the Crocodile Car.
  22. I love the Hogwarts Express. By far the best and most affordable version. Dobby is perfect for the price imo. WWW is a nice set for someone like me who loves HP but would never commit to a large DA set. The rest are pretty weak, especially the Battle of Hogwarts.
