Got it. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but 75378 is called BARC Speeder Escape and includes 2 Shock Troopers! Shock Troopers everywhere! They are really trying to sell the Gunship… -

I don’t think we are getting anniversary sets we do not know about. I strongly assume the other anniversary sets are those releasing in May, and will have the exclusive figure as well. Given the rumoured Mid-scale ships didn’t have any suggestion of a figure, I don’t think the Invisible Hand mid-scale will either. Hence, I think there is scope for exclusive 25th anniversary minifigures for Grogu’s Escape, Boonta Eve Diorama, and the Droideka. 5 in total sounds right; maybe we’d get a Polybag with the 6th as a May 4th OR less likely the Tie Interceptor will have one. -

Someone do correct me if I am wrong. Originally there were 5 sets slated for January. This included an unknown set 75373 (so could well still exist we have just heard nothing about it), and 75374 the Skeleton Crew ship which has now been delayed. There is also 30680 (rumoured to be an AAT Polybag). Not sure anyone is excited to see this so I didn’t even include it but in theory it makes the grand total of January sets to 3. There are also other set numbers that were originally unknown: 75377, 75388, 75389. We now know the first which is The Invisible Hand mid-scale. At the time, these three numbers were revealed at the same time and were hinted to be mid-scale ships, buildable droids, diorama’s. 75377 is slated for March which makes sense as the other mid-scale ships for this year are too. If we assume the others are buildable droids/diorama’s, it makes sense to assume they release in May along with the others. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures

Seems like TFA has no love! Nevertheless, here is TLJ. For this wave, I have tried to make the sets flexible so that figures and vehicles can interact with others explicitly. At the forefront of this is the intentional decision to hypothesis a Resistance Hanger. Other ships can be docked in the hanger, not just the two A-Wings as you will see. Another, C’ai Threnalli can is also seen in a ski-Speeder. Finally, I have tried to keep this wave cheap because it’s the least favourite of the three. Canto Bight has been ignored entirely because it’s quite possibly the worst act of Star Wars ever. Here goes! Duel on Crait Diorama £34.99 Minifigures: Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren Quote: “See you around kid”, Reason: Considering diorama’s have seemingly replaced the more traditional duel sets (thinking of Duel on Mustafar, Starkiller Base, Mandalore etc), releasing this set as a diorama makes sense. However, the terrain and backdrop does not translate all too well into Lego and therefore a small diorama would be most suitable. Here we could have tinges of the red salt representing the unique Crait landscape. However, the best feature would be a way fans can have Luke Skywalker dodge Kylo Ren’s vicious swipes. A small platform submerged in the terrain that works on rails would be perfect for this set. Finally, a Crait version of Luke Skywalker would please fans despite their frustration towards Rian Johnson’s interpretation of the character. Resistance LifeBoat £39.99 Minifigures: General Leia Organa, Poe Dameron, C3-PO, Resistance Pilot Reason: I’m fairly sure this was rumoured with Nien Nunb alongside the V-19…is this a dream? Either way, I love this vehicle. Although it’s less of a fighter and thus lacking in ‘traditional’ play features, its sleek design and compartments would prove more than enough to please all ages. This one though would be really for the figures with a much-needed Episode 8 Leia appearing. Fans can also buy multiples to but their own figures included in this wave inside. Finally, this set is one of the vehicles which can be docked in the hanger. Resistance V-4X-D Ski Speeder £44.99 Minifigures: Finn, Rose, First Order SnowTrooper (x2) Reason: Although personally I do not like TLJ, I do like the creation and inclusion of this vehicle. However, I felt Lego’s rendition back in 2018 was a bit too big for what was required. Therefore a smaller version would not only make sense, but be a lot more affordable. And although I hate the Rose scene (least because it makes zero sense), these figures were not included in the previous version. Finally, if Lego was to reboot the ST, Snowtroopers would be needed. This set provides the perfect opportunity even though they were barely seen in the Ski-Speeder scene…it seems to be a common theme with First Order Snowtroopers (2015..) Poe Dameron’s Resistance X-Wing Fighter £49.99: Minifigures: Poe Dameron, BB-8, C’ai Threnalli Reasons: Not only does this version of Poe’s X-Wing feature in Episode 7, but it plays a starring role in that film and at the start of Episode 8. I think this set would sell like hotcakes with its downscale and thus cheaper price point. There’s not much more that needs to be said. It’s ultimately a reskin of the TFA version I posted a few days back and therefore goes well with the Tie Fighter and the next set below… Once more, like the LifeBoat, this set can feature in the hangar… Kylo Ren’s Tie Silencer £54.99: Minifigures: Kylo Ren, Captain Canady, Firder Order Executioner Reason: I think most people can agree that Kylo Ren is the best part of the ST. In the movie he tears apart Resistance ships with his Silencer. This exquisite design was released back in 2017, and I think was fantastic. But, again, it would work well with a downscale because it is way more affordable. What’s quite morbid, is that this ship was responsible for completely obliterating the last set of this wave. In terms of figures, Canady would be a nice addition because he does feature in these scenes and I don’t think the Dreadnaught is likely. The executioner stormtrooper would be useful as I assume slight design tweaks would be implemented in all the First Order forces to make them feel fresh and unique. Mid-Scale Resistance Bomber (red livery) £64.99 Reason: Personally, I think the design of the Resistancd Bomber is one of the best, if not the best, in Star Wars. Whilst we saw Lego release the blue version, and later amend it with the infamous Finch Dallow debacle, a red version is far from likely because we don’t see any important character in one of them. Therefore, the mid-scale line represents the perfect opportunity. Admittedly, I thought long and hard about whether it should be a Dreadnaught, or more likely, The Supremacy. It was close, but I just felt the popularity of the Bomber combined with its striking livery, would serve the shelves far better. The Raddus’ Resistance Hangar £79.99: Minifigures: Vice-admiral Holdo, Bacta-tank Finn, Lieutenant Connix, Tallie Lintra, Vober Dand, Resistance A-Wing Pilot, Resistance Ground Crew Reason: I must admit, I love this idea. Inspired by the Lego 2009 Home-One and the story and scenes in the TLJ, this provides a perfect way for other Resistance ships seen in the movie to interact with this set. Coming with two A-Wings - Tallie’s Blue version and the amazing red version - in the downscaled style that I have suggested thus far - the hanger would be big enough to accommodate both ships alongside spaces for the Ground Crew member and a small transport buggy or something similar such as a crane. Because the A-Wings will be scaled down, I don’t think the build would be repetitive; if anyone has built The Inquisitor ship from Kenobi, there are pretty much similar amounts of pieces for the wings…as fans we are used to building that so I see no reason why we couldn’t quite easily build two A-Wings. Plus, the red A-Wing design in TLJ is gorgeous. At its best, Poe’s X-Wing could fit in the hangar, although being realistic it wouldn’t be big enough for it to fit more than one ship with Poe’s. Connected to to the hangar would be the room Finn sits in his Bacta, and Holdo’s control room. For the latter, it’s rather confusing which scenes are on the Raddus or not without watching the movie again, but she does eventually move to the Raddus. For the figures, I’ve tried to include some important Resistance characters. Holdo needs an update, Connix has only be released in her TROS outfit, and Dand has never been released despite also featuring in TFA. Tallie Lintra has been released in a Microfighter but her helmet is inaccurate. Sadly, Lego would have to be creative in deciding the other Resistance A-Wing Pilot, although it is possible to see a pilot when slowing down the frames as the explosion occurs due to Kylo Ren. In these scenes we can also see unique Ground Crew types. Finally, Finn makes sense given the need for additional rooms to connect to the hangar and because he only featured as a Polybag. Overall, I could totally see this set as an exclusive. That being said, it would be a fantastic set for its ability to house the Lifeboat, Poe’s X-Wing, and the A-Wings and even the Resistance X-Wing from TFA waves posted the other day. Moreover, the figure selection is excellent here. I’m so happy with this idea! I’d buy this set, absolutely. Thanks for reading everyone! TROS will be posted some point at the end of the week…probably Thursday. -

I wonder when Sequel Trilogy sets will return, if ever. Think there’s some solid choices. Personally, I didn’t like the ST at all, but I can appreciate the aesthetic. Rise of Skywalker barely got any sets during its release, but there’s some good choices…one day. I will start with The Force Awakens - I have tried to get a balance of old and new. There are 7 in total. These sets would be in line with the current tendency to release downscaled ships. Personally, this would work well for the Sequels as this will be refreshing and also more affordable for a trilogy less successful. Plus those children who watched this will be growing up. Niima Outpost Attack £34.99 (Slightly smaller Rey’s Speeder, Outpost Entrance, Market stand): Minifigures: Rey, Finn, BB-8, Constable Zuvio, First Order StormTrooper Reason: Out of all the other sets in my list, Jakku has been neglected. This is partly because there are limited options, but also because Lego covered this part of the movie pretty well. Niima Outpost has always been a cause of intrigue and with a smaller Rey’s speeder and some Niima architecture it would look really nice. Zuvio is a little treat! First Order StormTrooper Helmet & Kylo Ren Helmet (£64.99 & £69.99) Reason: Although the helmet line seems to have been stopped as we move into 2024, I think it would be a big shame and a mistake if it’s stopped altogether. Assuming it’s a temporary relaxation, these two helmets are perfect for Sequel coverage. I did debate whether to wait for TROS for a Kylo helmet given it’s striking red stitchings, but the classic helmet is, I think, more flexible. If the helmet line was around when the Sequels first came out, I’d have no doubt we’d have seen both. I think they’d sell excellently! Resistance Troop Transport £69.99: Minifigures: General Leia Organa, Chewbacca, Resistance Pilot, Resistance Soldier (x2), First Order Heavy StormTrooper, First Order StormTrooper Reason: First off, I think given it’s little screen time, I am a little surprised it got released. With that being said, Lego’s rendition is good. What’s missing is the accurate blue livery seen in the movie. Moreover, the resistance troopers could have been a little more accurate to what we see in the movie. Finally, in line with the other sets, this will be slightly downscaled with extra detail inside. Resistance X-Wing Fighter Vs First Order Tie Fighter £79.99: Minifigures: Resistance Pilot ‘Nien Nunb’, RP-GO, First Order Tie Pilot, First Order Ground Crew Reason: Following Lego’s choice to release large double pack style sets, this offers a fantastic way to get to core ships from the two main factions. The set is cheaper because each set will be scaled down alike the Rebel X-Wing and Imperial Tie released in 2021 and only retiring later this year. Finally, give us Nien Nunb…but any new Pilot could be included, in theory. Maz Kanata’s Castle £89.99: Minifigures: Maz Kanata, Han Solo, Rey, Finn, BB-8, Sidon Ithano, Bazine Netal, ME-8D9 (and a brickbuilt HURID-327) Reason: Out of all the sets released back in 2015-2017, I felt the castle was really poorly represented. Admittedly, it’s a difficult balance given the scale, but there’s no reason why Lego could do a good enough job given its Cantina experience. Of course, the entrance with the various flags and walls would need to be included, alongside various seats and chairs and a small bar. It would also have a small area where Rey follows the lightsaber calling. In terms of figures, I’ve tried to have a good mix…the Resistance Spy droid GA-97 would be hard to make into Lego I feel, so I’ve included ME-8D9. In an ideal world, Grummgar would be included, but that’s unrealistic… Finally, it could go well with the Resistance Transport. Star Destroyer Finalizer £149.99: Minifigures: Kylo Ren, General Hux, Captain Phasma, Petty Officer Thanisson, Poe Dameron, FN-2187 (Finn), First Order StormTrooper (and brickbuilt IT-000 Interrogator Droid) Reason: This would serve as the flagship set. The design of the Finalizer is a masterpiece, and although similar to Lego’s First Order Star Destroyer released in for TLJ, there’s more than enough differences. The Finalizer also appears in other movies and therefore makes sense. Moreover, this set allows us to get all the main villains alongside some new/rare heroes versions. The set would have loads of features including a bridge and an interrogation chair. We could get some microscale Tie Fighter’s, too. Given the other resistance ships released in this wave, this would go up against them really well which is always great fun for children and adults alike. I hope you enjoyed and please feel free to offer your own thoughts and waves. I chose helmets over Mid-scale ships here because it was more convenient but as you will see with my other waves mid-scale ships do appear. I’ll post TLJ soon! -
Pretty much this. Although expectations are through the roof. Lot less creative freedom for designers because they need to make the most accurate sets. Lego Star Wars has also changed direction. The creative process for choosing sets seems pragmatic and robotic. It’s all about having evergreen sets sprinkled with half-baked or Disney + sets (which have issues due to concept arts/leaks etc) Worst of all, the figures always seem to have glaring errors. If you’re getting the figures spot on, you’ll get good sets.

I love this wave! I love all your work. Congrats and thank you for your hard work and dedication. The Acclamator is a beauty. I could totally see it on shelves. I’m so glad you agreed to do it…and I’m very sorry for all the stress it caused ;) Lego Group hire this Mando! Your passion and commitment is second to none.

It makes the most sense to have atleast one standard 501st legion clone trooper especially because they have not been released with the helmet holes. (Only specialists thus far) I think they’ll include 2, if they do. That is even with the likely anniversary figure. -

Yes, I can’t see many obvious choices for a Rex set. I’d love a Grogu and IG-mech. Feels like it should (or could) be an actual mech set! Purely subjectively, I predict we see Rex again in 2024. Y-Wing is the logical guess. There is a rumour about Rex, but has not been backed up by anyone concrete as far as I am aware. -

Yes, this was my point above. I am also convinced Bo Katan’s Gauntlet is released (perfect way to get Gideon; and also most likely I think…) and that has a similarity with the Y-Wing which might prevent them releasing at the same time. Fair point; admittedly Fox is inaccurate because he wasn’t in the scene ;) -

I really do wish we got Bad Batch Season 2 sets beyond The Justifier. So many imperial trooper variants and ships that would have met the needs of Prequel fans and Original Trilogy fans. I am convinced they’d have sold well. TK StormTroopers, TK ShockTroopers, Imperial Commando’s, Scorch. Imperial Science Division Battle Pack £19.99: TK StormTrooper (x2), TK ShockTrooper, Imperial Commando. Could have done a micro V-Wing, or a small AT-AC. Or, they could have released a V-Wing and an Imperial Transport Shuttle alongside the Battle Pack. Scorch, Hemlock, and the Bad Batch could feature in these sets. -

I was convinced we’d see Commando’s given their appearance in Bad Batch. I still hold out hope! In terms of Dryden, I think it’s unrealistic to expect all the anniversary figures to be entirely new in moulds etc. Dryden is the sort of figure that is easy to produce whilst still being requested and looking cool. Just my two cents, though. -

Here are my anniversary line minifigure suggestions. Let’s assume there’s 6-7 in total. And we know two of them: Malak and Fives. Yaddle Durge Nien Nunb Dryden Vos Then if there were 7, maybe we need a Sequel minifigure. Although, I would really want Commando Gregor or Captain Fordo. -

I get what you’re saying, and yes he loves a good old clickbait. Most of the time I do roll my eyes because he loves the power of having “knowledge”. But, he has proven to have insider stuff every now and then.
