  1. I’m very excited for the Ahsoka sets! Here’s hoping they live up to the quality of the Ghost/Phantom. I am intrigued to see official pictures of the Gunship too…let’s see if it’s all an overreaction. Ahsoka show trailer gets me hyped, I reckon we will see more sets in 2024, atleast I hope.
  2. Republic Gunship - I need to see a lot more before passing judgment and purchasing. But, currently I am not a huge fan…which is such a shame. The Ghost/Phantom - Absolutely fantastic, I love it! I am so excited to see the rest of the Ahsoka wave now, especially the T6 Shuttle because Ahsoka looks great (box art of Ghost).
  3. I strongly believe Lego need to release more sets to account for the ever-increasing new media churned out by Disney each year. Part of this shift would be a return to more expansive January waves. Some of my best memories come from these waves: I think the fact New Year is memorable helps. Armed with Christmas cash (and in my case birthday too) and affordable sets, winter waves were a perfect way to start the year. Whilst I think the current structure of Winter waves are affordable, I do not like that this is because so few sets are released. Hence, here are my predictions for January 2024, infused with my wishlisting due to the amount of sets I predict. Essentially, it’s a hybrid list. The Phantom Microfighter £12.99: Hera Syndulla Clone Trooper Artillery Cannon £13.99 (Minifigure Pack, small artillery cannon based off ROTS Venator scenes): Phase II Shiny Clone Trooper (x2), Republic Officer Imperial Beskar Commando Troopers £13.99 (Minifigure Pack, brick-built minifigure launcher - think Corporate Alliance 2009 - and Imperial Turret): Imperial Beskar Commando Captain, Imperial Beskar Commando (x2) Rebel Fleet Troopers Battle Pack £19.99 (Small Rebel Hovertank - Battlefront 2005 - with flick-fire muzzles between the engines): Rebel Fleet Trooper (x3), Rebel Commando (Urban Rebel Soldier Battlefront 2005) Imperial V-Wing £24.99: (Bad Batch S2): TK StormTrooper, Imperial Commando, Omega The Mandalorians’ Nevarro Cabin £24.99: The Mandalorian, Grogu, Greef Karga Grogu’s Jedi Temple Escape £29.99 (Republic Barc Speeder W/sidecar that can be equipped with Grogu’s pram): Kelleren Beq, Grogu, Clone Shock Trooper (x2) Bo Katan’s Mandalorian Fighter £74.99 (Larger and more white, landing gear, and no gaps in cockpit compared to 2020 version): Bo Katan, Axe Woves, Moff Gideon Overall, 8 sets in total. Many link with pre-existing sets (Clone Minifig pack with UCS Venator; HoverTank with Yavin Base; Shock Trooper army for Gunship), or with others sets in the wave (Beskar Minifigure Pack, Cabin, Bo’s MandoFighter).
  4. I mean that they can’t add anything to the design to make it more appealing; the Vaughn case is Lego have simply omitted details for the design hence why we critique it.
  5. Aslong as it’s accurate, I’m happy. Lego can only design based off of the material. From what I see, it’s accurate.
  6. I have seen recently on certain social media channels complaints about the lack of Anakin Skywalker figures on shelves comparative to Luke Skywalker. Irrespective of my thoughts, here are my favourite sets that could release in the next few years with Anakin. TPM: Naboo Starfighter Vs Vulture Droid Skywalker Homestead AOTC: Coruscant Airspeeder Chase Petranaki Arena (Yavin 2023 style) ROTS: Anakin’s Green Jedi Interceptor Duel on Mustafar Diorama Palpatine’s Arrest Diorama TCW: Anakin’s Yellow Jedi Starfighter Seperatist Tri-Droid (S7)
  7. I am surprised more have not suggested Bad Batch Season 2 sets. TK Stormtroopers, Imperial Commando’s, and TK Shock Troopers would all be amazing additions. Considering the timeframe of the show, it would appeal to both Prequel and OT fans. A small army of these figures are particularly appealing to me. The sets would also accompany nicely existing Imperial collections. Lego have focused on the wrong things for this show overall thus far and I really think they’ve missed a trick.
  8. Completely agree, I reckon there are going to be some stunners!
  9. Yes, my thoughts exactly! I’d recently thought of these exact sets. Mech’s have nice potential. I could add more: Royal Guard, Senate Comando, Jango Fett, Sabine Wren etc. I will stop the wishlisting, now. Admittedly, “human” heroes are far harder to do in theory, but I am sure they’ll find a way.
  10. I think people forget Lego is about creativity. Whether we like it or not, Lego Star Wars has never been completely accurate, far from it. This is especially evident when it comes to sets and inclusions of figures. In recent years the demand for the highest-degree of accuracy has skyrocketed; but the Lego Star Wars does not cave in. Go and check all those sets you feel nostalgic about.
  11. Probably me waffling, but perhaps this will encourage people to spend their money for August on these sets…
  12. Advent Calendar is the best of the August wave! 332nd Battle Pack would have been good - shame, the figures are terrible imo. That black line is so off-putting. Yoda’s Starfighter - Official images help the set, but then again it just makes me want Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor more and more. Hands down one of the worst choices I’ve seen in recent years given the alternative! Yavin Base - I actually really like the style of these sets - they give me hope for other sets like this E.g., Petranaki Arena. But, play features and figures aside, the price for this set is outrageous. I do think it lacks another Fleet Trooper, too. Not the worst, but feels a little incomplete.
  13. Deep discounts are unlikely given it’s a 4+ set - Atleast what has been seen recently with the AT-ST for example.
  14. Surprisingly, though, and I completely will take the slander, I will be purchasing the mechs.
  15. Nice idea, I’d love to see your ideas in the Future Star Wars thread! Seeing the solitary Rebel Fleet Trooper in the Yavin Temple, I am almost certain we are getting a Rebel Fleet Trooper Battle Pack!
  16. Promobricks have said Lego have changed the price… to 21(not sure currency!) I might be completely wrong, but I think the Battle Droid (and the other you can just about see), is a new set. Why? 1. unfamiliar box art 2. Posture of Battle Droid (not attacking the vehicle, suggesting it’s a Seperatist vehicle) God, I am sad.
  17. I think the entire minifig list is there, no? I don’t like it because it feels too open and disjointed, and then I also see the price! But, I am not saying I don’t like it so to speak, because there are some elements I appreciate. The Y-wing build is nice, and the Temple front looks decent He has both! I like that bit. Only one Fleet Trooper is really poor, imo.
  18. I’d have said the same, but the box art/artwork is different in the catalogue leaks compared to the box art of these respective sets. My thoughts… Swamp Speeder - Bad, really bad. Yoda Starfighter - Unneccesary. Yavin Temple - Less minifigures than the rumours suggested (1 Fleet Trooper?!), and overall looks incomplete and empty. Pass, pass, pass.
  19. Stormtrooper mech looks Atleast somewhat in-universe, and that imperial logo is really useful
  20. Sadly I think so too; pretty flawed concept really.
  21. I don’t think mechs are the worst things in the world, but that’s because I’m judging their existence on the fact the rest of the year seemingly has not been compromised by the existence and release of them. Price is bad. I’d expect discounts, and would recommend for those interested in them to purchase at 30% off, minimum. They’re a good little gift for children, however. Shame there isn’t a hero mech, seems quite odd! If I was a child I can’t really play with the 3 releasing this summer. On the other hand, if a brand new shiny Phase II Clone Trooper was released next year, I think people would view them a little differently. Let’s see what the following wave brings (I can’t see them stopping after one wave)…
  22. Ye man, my guys have said! To be honest I’ve had egg on my face once this year already with the April 1st leaks, so who knows
  23. It’s quite common these days, sadly.
