The Gunship is rumoured to be dark red, correct? I hope it is, and they don’t use that brighter red.

Yes…only compounds my misery! Yeah, the 5 figures are all exciting, especially those listed.

I think the Coruscant Guard Gunship looks more interesting and cooler, but it means I’d only pick up 2 maximum. If it was a standard Gunship everyone would buy more. I have no doubt about that. So, from that perspective it’s a strange choice BUT I like it. I’d imagine the gap between the next release of a Gunship will be shorter. I think they have made the decision based on the existence of the UCS version. They might have tried the standard version and realised they’d look too similar on shelves. Again, not having a pilot is so disappointing. I understand they don’t have material for a Shock Trooper Pilot but they could have literally just given us a shiny Phase II Pilot. 6 minifigures would have been perfect. Heck, the AT-TE even has a driver! The AT-TE having more Clones and more figures compared to the Gunship is super surprising. I guess getting both Palpatine and Padme is good but so strange! It was the one thing that made me believe the rumours were false. I’d be less mad about the Pilot if they nail these figures because they’re important named characters and we’d never get TCW versions again (and Padme barely has variants anyway which is disappointing).

Ah, yes - cheers. I own this, lol. There is no set way of doing this thread, trust me. I used to read this forum in 2011-14 and writing prices and figs was the main format and I just went with it. I really like this post. I would have Phase II Shiny Clones in one and maybe an Arf Trooper in the AT-RT OR an AT-RT Driver and hence kashyyyk based.

This is really important, personally. There’s plenty they can do that is not specifically “Clone Trooper” as you say and more importantly it’s some really good stuff such Jango’s Slave One. Arc-170 is likely, I agree. Anyway I’ll stop “wishlisting” now.

The question will be how they incorporate them into sets… Turbo Tank? Arc-170? Anyway, that’s for another day! On another note I’m really intrigued to hear opinions on the Yavin Temple currently. With so many amazing sets coming and the ever-increasing price of Lego, is there space for the set in your budget this year? Personally, I’d have to be really amazed by its functionality. But, I can imagine it’s going to be super popular for the OT’s.

Yes but you have to acknowledge the type and nature of the set. The throne room is a playset where all of your figures can interact with the set. Whereas with the Fang Fighter and Tie Interceptor there is space for 2 figures maximum.

Yeah people wanted/hoped for a really highly sort after figure. That being said, people were sort of desperate for something exciting considering we hadn’t really had the main rumours that have made us all so excited. Plus, the reveal got caught up in these rumours which wouldn’t have helped things. Let’s see in the final episodes if Lego have missed anything. My guess is that they might have included a more exciting different Mando than the Fleet Commander we have gotten. Just a hunch, though. So yeah, I think the figure reaction is not simply just because people think it’s bad.

Gunship, Ghost, T6 Shuttle, Swamp Speeder. I want them all. Add the new 501st battle pack and the Pirate Snubfighter into the mix and I’ve got a nice haul for 2023 to enjoy later in the year! Can’t wait!

Yes! The Silencer is such a nice design but was way too big when it was released. The Dagger is good, too and was never done if I remember correctly. Both would sell well with the odd exclusive figure included, too. Yes, Exegol is the main one. I’m shocked it has not been done. Could have a Diorama or a system play set. Palpatine, Rey, Ben Solo, Sith Sovereign Protector. Perfect.

I think the Sequel Trilogy will return, it has to. But it won’t be for a while and it won’t be until Disney reduces the amount of content they’re releasing. Personally, I don’t like the movies but I quite like the designs as after all its Star Wars. I could definitely see a Blue Resistance X-Wing and First Order Tie Fighter in the new system scale. I also think you might get some Rise of Skywalker sets in the future as that has been the most neglected out of the three. Exegol, First Order UA-TT, Treadable Tank, Final Order Star Destroyer and The Fortitude. An updated Resistance Bomber would be amazing imo, just with a new red colour scheme and hopefully a couple of new figures. This could go alongside a Crait Duel and a Canto Bight Glider. Finally, I think anything with Kylo Ren will sell well. Especially his personal ships…

I like the actual design, red looks so so good. It’s a strange choice, though. But, I rate the boldness given TCW anniversary. Minifigure selection needs a pilot! Never thought I’d see a Gunship with Palpatine and Padme but here we are. We all love Fox and Shock Troopers, though. I would have preferred a standard Gunship, however.

Yeah but you can’t really complain about it because they’d have the new style clones and it’s based on an accurate scene. There’s a difference between preference and just objectively bad. Haha, convinced it must be a meme at this point with the Pilot.

I’d have had 6 figures. But, I just would not have done it based off this scene. However, I don’t mind it it’s just strange considering we get three clones and zero Pilot.

Could say that for any set and any lineup, though. We are in 2023 and we still can’t get a Clone Pilot. It’s just strange considering we get Fox but not a PILOT. Very odd.

The Republic Gunship minifigure selection is fairly weak imo, but I’m being grumpy.

Egg is splatted all over my face. Fang Fighter looks average imo; Tie looks amazing. Going to have to have another day of recovery before commenting on the leaks specifically.

Throne room diorama is really good in my opinion. Looks about £80, though.
