LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion
JasonEffex replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Incidentally, the site has the set numbers in the product specification for each set, so I've matched the set numbers and prices with the list of sets that was found a while ago: 70606 GA - €9.99 70607 TT - €19.99 70608 SA - €34.99 70609 MP - €34.99 70610 JS 70611 SC - €44.99 70612 LD - €54.99 70613 NW - €69.99 70614 JJ - €69.99 70615 KM - €79.99 70616 ZT 70617 BS - €109.99 70618 ?? - €169.99 70620 NC -
LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion

Here's a sneaky tip if you want to minimize your chances of getting duplicates; I've found that fiddling around with the shields in the bag until you get one on its own and then shining a bright light through the bag will allow you to just barely see it's print. I've done this with four bags now and only got two duplicate shields. Having said that, it takes a while and some shields are very difficult to figure out, especially the red ones. -

Unless that number of 11 sets was only referring to the wide release sets and not retail exclusives. Both The Lego Movie and Lego Batman Movie lines had 3 retail exclusive sets in their first waves and I don't expect the Ninjago Movie to be any different, so that brings the total number of sets to 14 which matches up with the number of sets in this list. -

Set 70613 could be "Nya's Walker" , no clue as to what the earlier ones could be though. It is surprising however, that Cole's Mech doesn't seem to be on the list, and that the other five ninja vehicles are towards the bottom, leading me to believe that they may be larger sets. -
Looks like the movie's synopsis (from the trailer description on Youtube) has been updated: "In this big-screen NINJAGO adventure, the battle for NINJAGO City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, The Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their inner power of Spinjitzu." So yes, Spinjitzu will be a part of the movie.

Posted this in the movie thread as well, but here are two new images from the movie. -
While we wait for the trailer, here are a couple of new pictures from the movie. Lloyd looks better in this image than in the group shot, which makes me think that people will start warming up to these new designs once we get a better look at them.

I like what I see so far. Well, most of what I see. 70310 is the only one so far that I actually dislike, the shape of it just looks a bit too weird for me. However, I do like the knight minifig with the recoloured Hero Factory armour piece. The Robo Horse does look like it transforms, I can see another wheel just behind where Lance sits. I think 70313 looks the best out of these six. For those confused about what it is, it used power miners wheels on the sides that look to be able to make the 'fists' move up and down as it's rolled around. The larger two look cool, but they both seem like they're a minifigure short for their price. The line up looks pretty good in for an action theme, hopefully they'll be some structures later on. I am also very much looking forward to seeing two bigger big sets.

The best and worst designed 2015 Bionicle Skull Villains
JasonEffex replied to YellowCorvette's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I'm pretty sure that even Scorpio can't be worse than that... thing, Scorpio even has more points of articulation. Anyway, I only have 3 skull villains so far: Scorpio, Warrior and Basher. Basher is my favourite of the three, and Scorpio and Warrior are kind of even, I like them both in different ways. Warrior combines all the cool features of the Toa and protectors into one (the two different weapons, stud launcher and gears), and pulls off the skeleton look very well. But I'd also say that although Scorpio's legs can't move, they do add to the skeleton aesthetic quite nicely, and his function works the best out of all the skull villains. So I definitely wouldn't say he's the worst Bionicle set ever. -
I've just had a go on the updated app and it's actually pretty good, the addition of melee and ranged Skull Warriors definitely makes the game more interesting and challenging for sure. They've also added some awesome music for the boss battles too! Also, if you get round to playing it, keep an eye out for a G1 easter egg in Kulta's level! And no, it's not another Vahi.

hmmm, Seems strange, especially for a Ninjago product. Any idea why or what the minifigure was?

There were, from the list of Lego store promotions we got back in December last year: http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-2015-set-release-dates-and-promo-details/ It does say it's for September but I can't find it on the store calendar. Now, if I remember correctly, we've gotten all the other promotions listed so I see no reason why the Ninjago one wouldn't appear sooner or later.

All the sets looked great! But what I liked the most were those ingenious functions that the designers put into sets like the Ultracopter, that and the overall feel of the theme just made it an amazing line, more so than Ninjago, in my opinion, which I am also a big fan of. You know, since you mentioned Alpha Team, I find it interesting that the final wave of that line was US exclusive (that's what Brickset is telling me, at least), and now we have the final wave of UA, which is only sold in 3 countries. It's funny how two similar lines have had their run brought to a premature end in certain places.

Lego Ninjago 2016
JasonEffex replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Some of these sound pretty weird, like Tiger Widow. But I assume that it's just some translation error as usual. More dragons is a plus, but I was expecting there to be: I can just see the Sky Shark being some sort of giant-flying-robo-steampunk-pirate-shark. Sounds completely crazy, but I like the though of it being that! -
2016 action theme?
JasonEffex replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Or Big Bang? Also, judging from the current list, this new theme has more regular sets for the winter wave than Ninjago does, unless the '1HY' sets are something similar to spinners or speedorz. -
Thanks! I can imagine you would be very pleased!

Did you guys use Bricklink? As I've just checked and the Ocean HQ is nowhere to be found on there.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
JasonEffex replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Well, the Hageman brothers recently said on Twitter that "hints to the new season have already been planted in the last season", so I'm guessing that the episode where Zane had a pirates voice is also a hint.- 4,591 replies

Nice! I'm looking forward to this! But wait, I don't see Skull Scorpio anywhere! (Not really surprised by that though.) Also, those hexagonal pillars kinda remind me of the coliseum in the Legends of Metru Nui movie.

Lego Ninjago 2016
JasonEffex replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well, I guess it wouldn't be too difficult to continue to discuss the TV show side of things in the proper thread for it, With the sets though, I'm surprised that it's taken Lego this long to do pirates in Ninjago, seems like an obvious choice for villains. It's probably not going to be just pirates though, after all, the recent Anacondrai wave wasn't just human enemies. So I'm hoping for some brick built sea monsters as a substitute for vehicles. As for the 'new ninja', I'm kind of expecting him/her to appear in just a single set and then be forgotten about, since that's what happened with Skylor, I think the current team is already big enough. -
I think the set is actually represented quite well in the show, both other buildings and the bridge are also there. (A picture of it is inside the spoiler tags)

This is pretty fantastic! The temple looks so well built and detailed. I think the minifigure assortment is also well chosen, it's nice that we finally get some Ninjago citizens aswell. So I'll definitely be getting this one, good thing I've been saving a bunch of VIP points in advance.

So, looks like UA has been removed from the themes page on the UK lego shop. http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/ByTheme I guess that puts an end to the discussion of whether Europe will get the sets or not. And to my hopes of having a complete collection. I do wonder, though, if Lego would have still profited from releasing the sets in Europe, even if they did badly. It's also kind of sad to think that there's a lot more Ultra Agents fans besides us, a lot of whom are going to miss out on this final wave. EDIT: I've just checked a few other countries on S@H such as Germany and Australia, and they're gone.

I'd say Yang's temple is pretty likely, and is what I'd like the set to be, but a set of Cloud Kingdom would also float my boat.
