  1. I'm saying it's based off of 60017 because I did follow the instructions in that set to assemble this as I'm not a skilled custom builder. However, there are differences from that truck and this one. This truck will likely get some modifications in the future. As I get better, I might try to make a police impound lot to go with this truck. Of course, I'd need quite a bit of parts for that.
  2. I like the new Batmobile. No plans to see the movie, but I want that set.
  3. The reason why I say "kind of" is because I did follow instructions to build these and it is not my idea. The idea came from a police interceptor posted on a website called Rebrickable. I thought that particular police car(based off of 60053) was really cool and wanted to try that for myself and there were instructions on how to build it. While I did do some things differently, I also feel like I should give credit to the original idea. If allowed and/or requested, I will post a link to that one on this thread. EDIT: Decided to post the link anyway: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/patricknagle/police-interceptor And here there are. The pictures are not the best and I do apologize about that. Note that one is supposed to be undercover. I used red for the undercover car because of lack of parts issues but then I thought; How often do you see a red police car? In the United States, we don't typically see red ones if I remember correctly. Some departments do have red police cars over here in the states, though. If ever start buying off bricklink, I might make more of them+modify these two a bit. I'd like to hear your thoughts on these builds even though it's not really my idea. EDIT: Should also mention the undercover one had some inspiration from JangBricks. In an older video of his, he showcased some some of his police vehicles, including an undercover car.
  4. Anyone know if/when these sets are avaliable outside LEGO stores and TRU? Like Target? Asking because neither the Target or Wal-Mart near has the new City sets. There's no TRU around where I live.
  5. So, as someone who has no plans to see the movie, is it still worth picking up 75916? Mainly want it for the jeep and the dinosaur which I think is pretty neat. I might try to modifiy or customize the jeep. Although, if I am going to get the set, it won't be for a little while. Working on some other things at the moment.
  6. Those look really nice. I wish you the best of luck on this project.
  7. Added a second set of wheel axles. Looks better that way, actually. Thanks for the tip.
  8. Yeah, I got to work on the photography part. Thank you, though.
  9. Note: I don't have an excess number of parts. Also, sorry if the pics aren't good quality. Anyway.... This first one is a police tactical truck. It was originally wider in the back but I made it smaller. I believe it can hold 5 minifigures in the back plus driver. Which is fine. I don't have any need for a huge tactical unit. I kinda used the front end from that truck in the Police Dog Unit set from last year on this. This next one is small police pickup truck. This next one is just a generic car. I tried to use as much black as possible as the idea is that this is driven by a gangster. This last one isn't really a MOC. It's basically a modded version of that $10 dollar Monster Truck set from last year. Even so, I like it. The idea behind this is supposed to be a sports truck. Let me know what you guys think!
  10. I would like to see a safari theme. With new animal molds.
  11. Really, the only issue I have with this set is the price. Otherwise, it's probably my favorite set of the deep sea theme.
  12. Does Lego still make road plates? I was just wondering.
  13. I really like the plane and the truck in this set. I'm planning to pick this set up but I don't know when I will. Although, I think my favorite City set for 2015 so far would be set 60071.
  14. I would say yes with some customization as well. I'd like to see how people will modify/customize that black vehicle.
  15. That City Square set sounds awesome but I don't have the money for such a set
  16. Nice building. I really like it.
  17. As someone who collects die-cast models, I also noticed that. Well, Hot Wheels made a Veyron in 1/64 scale but that's now been discontinued and now....welll....it's SUPER expensive these days. I also hope we get more than one wave. There really is a ton on cars they could do with this theme.
  18. Very, very nice. Gonna make an Ice Cream Truck to go with it?
  19. A fig-scale Veyron would be pretty sweet.
  20. Here's a thought that I have had for a while. I don't know if any of you is familiar with the SimCity or city-building games in general but, what if there was a Lego city-builder? Could such a video game ever happen or work out? Or would it not work out? Just curious :).
  21. I'm wondering if we'll see Lamborghini in this theme in the future. A Lego Lamborghini Aventador would be awesome.
  22. ^Can't wait for that set to come out over here. Really like that set along with the Swamp Police Starter Set which I still need to pick up. Only problem is, the Target I go to is out of stock and the Wal-Mart I go to doesn't have any of the new sets at least from what I saw.
  23. Well, I hope so because the theme is really, really cool. So many different choices for Lego for this theme especially if they can get other car manufacturers on board.
