Just a simple photo with some backstory. The elderly man is from the 2016 park set. In my imaginary world, he's a retired police officer who drives a restored civilian version of his old patrol car. Both cars are based off of the green car from that SDCC set. I decided to get an older police torso to make a younger version of him. Late 1940s into maybe the early 1950s. If going by real ages, this would put his current self in his late 80s to early 90s. I'll let you all decide what crazy stories he likes to tell the young people.

I got the AMG GT3 set today. I wanted to turn it into the AMG GT road car. It helps that it comes with an additional front end build you can swap in.

I get why Lego releases so many police sets, but, this thread is pure gold. Although, a tropical island setting would be cool. How about.... Hospital Police Volcano Police Mining Police Train Police Octan Police Monster Fighters Police Nexo Knights Police
-
You know, since we are definitely getting police sets in 2018, most likely the next Forest/Swamp, let's see the setting be some sort of tropical island this time :P

This car took inspiration from this: The vintage Jeep is based off on one from the Indiana Jones theme. The van is based off of the crook's van from 60008. Everything I built this week! Now, for the scenes. I really need to work on scenery plus get some sort of table one day. Please bear with me for now. A retired police officer reunited with his first patrol car, courtesy of the police chief and other current police officers: This guy thought he could outrun the cops with his fast car. The cops responded with their supercars:

Two of these are based off of set builds with some diferences here and there. The third was built following a YouTube video. Based off the vehicle from 7326. Did change a couple things afterwards, but, I am pleased with this. This was built from the instructions in TheBrickLab's video on the Drakonas from Lego City Undercover. Changes have been done to this one as well. Both of these are based on the green car in the SDCC Superman set from 2015, but, the civilian one came first. I liked it so much that a police version had to be next.

Awesome job! I've considered making a haunted building just for kicks, mainly because of my interest in the paranormal.

Bus Station is definitely one I want. Looks decent, plus, I don't have any buses. Fun at the Beach is decent. I don't know if I will be picking it up, though. The jungle sets in particular look really good. Plus, I love that they included two big cats. The vehicles look good as well. Coast Guard is a fine bunch. I love that Jeep looking vehicle, and, the Starter Set is nice as well. All in all, a decent bunch of stuff.

Speed Champions Mod: Stock 1969 Camaro
TheLegoPerson9 replied to TheLegoPerson9's topic in LEGO Town
Thanks! I don't know why I have a thing for cars in all black, but, I do. Another all black car is on my building list as well. As well as 4 vehicles from official sets done a little differently. Well, the car is also going to be done differently than what the video on it shows. -

Just lowered the back and part swaps. I wanted to keep the stripes which I wish we had a 2x2 tile with that pattern as a sticker. -
I like how this came out.

MOC: Fruit Delivery Van based off of 60142
TheLegoPerson9 replied to TheLegoPerson9's topic in LEGO Town
Yep! Currently all the fruit is in one crate, though :) -
I should have specificd. I meant a City release. I do not recall one being in City.
-
Don't like to double post, but, with all the racing vehicle stuff we get, I am genuinely surprised Lego has not released one of these: Kids would love it. Adults would probably love it too.

I like the look of it so far. I'll have to get a couple more sticker sheets for the sides and maybe rear doors, though:

2017 Speed Champions Sets - Rumours and Discussion
TheLegoPerson9 replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Town
Well, if it means getting a 650S or a 675LT, I sure hope they release it. -
Dude, this thing looks great! You reminded me that I still want to make a Lamborghini LM002. I tried it once but it came out really bad :(

MOC: Replica of a car from an SDCC set.
TheLegoPerson9 replied to TheLegoPerson9's topic in LEGO Town
Thanks! Well, after I posted this, the mail came, and, I got my Bricklink order that included these wheels and tires. Thus.... How does it look? -
To be more specific, a replica of this car: http://brickset.com/sets/SDCC2015-3 Done differently, and, I plan to see how another set of wheels look on this, but, I like how it came out. I plan to do a police version of this eventually.

This could work as a separate theme in itself. It's an excellent idea, and, would help with variety and even learning about other cultures.

Since Lego loves to do truck+trailer sets, I thought this would be neat: A 6-wide SUV that looks like a luxury SUV with an enclosed car hauler and a 4-stud wide classic car. By classic car, I mean 1920s-1930s era car that the trailer would be hauling. Think of something like Dusenberg, Packard, or Hispano-Suiza. That kind of car.

Thanks! I probably will if anything else comes to mind!

I also just had Fun in Downtown come to mind. Obviously, it wouldn't have any big structures, but, it would still have a lot of useful stuff in one box if done right. For instance.... The minifigures can range from business people to tourists. Lego loves their police sets, but even then, you could still have a police officer in a set like this but instead of catching crooks, he or she could be in the role of a traffic coordinator with just the typical motorcycle. For other stuff... A tuk tuk/rickshaw for public transportation purposes or a simple 4 stud wide Taxi that holds 2 minifigures. One or two traffic light assemblies with street signs and different things next to it Maybe some built up payphones on the side. Perhaps another Bus Stop sign/area. It is downtown, after all. Etc.

Given that we've seen a bunch of sports figures like American football and baseball, I think a Basketball Player would be a pretty neat addition. Also, continuing with historical themed figures, how about a Mongolian warrior, or an warrior and/or emperor from Ancient China? A philosopher minifigure would be neat as well. Then, we've seen music themed minifigures are number of times. What about a Country singer and/or a Blues magician? Lastly, for just general minifigures, we got the Motorcycle Mechanic, what about a Biker minifigure with a leather jacket print on the torso? Other ideas include a Car Salesman, a Dentist, a Mayor, a Mountie, a Postal Inspector, a Bodyguard, a Security Guard, and, a Professor.

2017 Speed Champions Sets - Rumours and Discussion
TheLegoPerson9 replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Town
I'd love some more vintage cars myself! Though, as GallardoLU said, we'll probably get more down the line.
