  1. Yup... Great MOC's. Love to see 1 and 3 built.
  2. Blakbird, based on your fictional actuators above, this is what I had in mind using efferman's actuator with the L Motor. Of course, I had to make a rough representation of his 3D printed part. The cylinder is supposed to have a 3 stud diameter, but the length is about right. I think it's about 30 studs long. The whole thing would pivot where your fictional ones do. Here is the idea at Bricksafe. http://bricksafe.com...jpg/640x139.jpg
  3. Blakbird, which Firgelli actuator did you use in the above drawing?
  4. Thank you, rollermonkey. I had read about the 2L Liftarms on another part of the forum, so ordered those. I have enough of the others, too.
  5. Well Blakbird, you've had several minutes to figure this out... Where are the instructions?
  6. Great job representing the Firebird logo on the hood. Excellent.
  7. Apparently the white nylon is fairly tough, according to several posts under that topic. If the efferman LA (above) was mounted to the boom, and an L motor mounted to the superstructure to drive it, would the LBG Universal Joint have enough angular travel to drive the boom up to its 80 degree or so angle? Don't know if I asked that properly, but would the U-Joint be able to still operate at that kind of angle?
  8. How many extra of the yellow 0.5L bushings did you need?
  9. This is from Efferman's Custom Parts topic #803. How would this work for the large lift cylinder seen under the real GMK6400 Boom? 3 Studs wide x 18 Studs of movement.
  10. Rollermonkey, the black gear is put on that axle in Step 4, Page 64. Is there room to add this bushing ( ) as a spacer?
  11. Blakbird, there were a couple of posts in the previous topic about making changes to raise the boom higher, and also, you've run across some things while building. Will those types of changes, where the build would be altered from gerger's original, be reflected in your final instructions?
  12. Blakbird... You have brought this project to such a professional level with your renderings and instructions, and creating this forum topic. Thank you for the huge effort. I know you are enjoying this time spent, and we are fortunate that you share your expertise with us. Again, thank you.
  13. There is a significant mold finish time difference between a matte finish, and a shiny one. Matte finish would allow them to get a mold to the production floor faster.
  14. Well, the set for Axle 1 looks great. This project represents such a wonderful collaboration among the experts on this site. All the cooperation is sure impressive to this new member.
  15. Nicely done, Alex. Is that something you're going to do the entire instruction set?
  16. Waler, you've captured the rugged look of the real trucks like andythenorth posted above. Well done.
  17. Thank you, Theo. I ended up with 164 Lots, 1372 items, $452 Value, but close to your results.
  18. The BrickStore GMK6400 complete parts list is loaded, and all the Ultimate 42009 parts are showing negative numbers, and are red. Is there a way to have BrickStore actually remove those items? I can't seem to find a way to do that, so that all I have left are the additional parts I need to order for the GMK6400.
  19. Blakbird, Would you please show a close up of the attachment point of the LAs and the 3 x 3 Bent Arms?
  20. We would be more than happy to receive a part donation from you for stopping by. Can we pick?
  21. You now have 13 supporters and counting. Nicely done, Jason.
  22. Second that motion. I started working through the online Help files for MLCad the other day. Steep learning curve.
  23. Magnificent. The broken stonework at the bridge is incredibly well done. Your attention to detail is unmatched.
  24. What a rugged looking machine. Well done, and great presentation. Thank you for posting it. These projects are sure inspiring for this new member. Based on what I've seen on this Forum, all you have to do is show one picture of this project to Blakbird, and he'll have the instructions finished in about 3 days!
  25. Sorry to break it to you guys, but the box sizes are actually the sheet cardboard sizes before die cutting. These are all going to be just Minifigs for 2015!
