Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Hythonia replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I would kill for the She-Hulk and Wasp minifigs. :( -
I would love a Marvel/DC CMF line... it would be a chance for characters who probably wouldn't necessarily get their own minifig anytime soon to shine, like Wasp, She-Hulk, Blade, or Squirrel Girl.

REVIEW: 71007 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12
Hythonia replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
They could've easily printed the skirt on her legs, though, instead of giving her a gold bikini. That's what I meant -- I wouldn't have wanted the dress base on her at all. It works for certain minifigs like the princess or the bride, but not a battle goddess.- 156 replies

REVIEW: 71007 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12
Hythonia replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for your reviews! The Battle Goddess went down in my estimation. For some reason, I didn't think she'd have that cloth skirt. I hate those so much (it almost ruined the Fairy for me). But I love the Fairytale Princess's reverse expression! Perfect for kissing the frog and turning him into a handsome prince (hopefully we'll get a Fairytale Prince in the next few sets).- 156 replies

There was a Super Friends comic that had those three plus Icicle, Blue Snowman, and Minister Blizzard (the latter two of which are WW villains). Their villain group was the "Ice Pack." Blue Snowman's my personal favorite frosty villain. She's a stuttering school teacher who disguises herself as a fat dude in order to extort money from her town ("Fair Weather Valley"). Her later depictions have her more snowman-like and gadgety.

My favorites from each series: Series 1: Forestman (I actually don't have any from Series 1, but if I had to pick one to own, it'd be this classic.) Series 2: Witch (I love witches, and I like that she has green skin to differentiate her from Willa the Witch, my childhood fave.) Series 3: Elf or Mummy (Like Series 1, I don't have any of these ones.) Series 4: Sailor (Mainly for nostalgia -- he was the first minifig I got in a pack.) Series 5: Egyptian Queen (Another bit of nostalgia -- my boyfriend and I sat on the floor at Walmart while I searched for her and he searched for the Evil Dwarf.) Series 6: Sleepyhead (I was actually a bit disappointed with this set... beyond this one, the Minotaur, and the Intergalactic Girl, I didn't like very many.) Series 7: Ocean King (Honorable mentions to Viking Woman and Bride.) Series 8: Alien Villainess (Such a great, unique minifig. I would vote for Fairy but I didn't like that they used the fabric skirt for her.) Series 9: Mermaid or Forest Maiden (I can't decide between the two... I also love the Cyclops from that set.) Series 10: Medusa (By far my favorite minifig ever! I'm a huge Medusa/gorgon fan, so when this was revealed I was super psyched. Warrior Woman is also great.) Series 11: Grandma (This set is a lot like Series 6... I think the Grandma was the only minifig I got for it, so that says something.) The Lego Movie: Marsha, Queen of the Mermaids (I came late to the Lego Movie party, so she was the only one I actually got in the set.) Series 12: Fairytale Princess or Battle Goddess

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
Hythonia replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I can't wait for these to be out. I'm a bit disappointed they're keeping the $4 price, but I've accepted it. I'll be getting for sure: Wizard Princess Battle Goddess (yay, Athena for Wonder Woman!) Surfer Dino Tracker Genie Girl I may end up getting the Spooky Girl because I like Wednesday Addams, and maybe the Swashbuckler for my boyfriend. Oye, and maybe the Jester for the Castle theme sets. I guess I'll just buy 'em all.- 1,109 replies

I would love for Ursula to be in it, but I doubt it. It will most likely be one or two of her sisters and King Triton (along with Flounder, Sebastian, and other sea creatures). If they somehow manage to feature Ursula in some way, I'd instantly buy it. The Jasmine set sounds like something I'd pick up, too. Lego Rajah would be adorable!

She actually appeared quite a bit in the New 52. After her Justice League debut, she was recruited into the Suicide Squad by Waller, and later had her own (mediocre) one-shot during Forever Evil. Plus she was a pretty big antagonist in the Forever Evil: ARGUS mini. I'm pretty miffed that she didn't get invited into Luthor's own Justice League... Wondie had no rogues on that team. She's also on the cover of the new Lego Batman game, so who knows. I'm hoping they sneak her in somehow. I don't think they'll do a set featuring a female lead for a long, long time, unless it's marketed towards girls and most likely in the Friends style. It's sad how sexist toy companies have become. When I was a kid, there were tons of female action figures to choose from. Now we get a few Princess Leias and maybe a Black Widow here and there. They don't even bother trying to market Wonder Woman it seems. I'm hoping BvS will change that.

That's why I said with any significance. ;) She's fought Medusa three major times if I remember correctly, but cyclopes and minotaurs were always just grunts that never had any major role in her lore (there was a really cool minotaur supporting character though). That'd be like saying the crooks from the LEGO City lines would be enough for Batman in terms of his villains. :P I'm hoping we get Cheetah or Circe really soon.

Medusa's the only one she's fought with any sort of significance in the comic series. Maybe they'll do a "God of War" for the minifigures line one day and we can pretend he's Ares. :)

I think not using any of the villains was a big mistake. I mean, at least include Flotsam and Jetsam in the Ariel Boat set. If I never get an Ursula minifig, I will go to my grave screaming like a banshee. It's as if LEGO thinks little girls (or boys) don't want to cause any conflict with their LEGO sets, just watching Cinderella and Prince Charming live happily ever after. Blah, gimme a break.

Aw, no Cheetah in the 2015 sets? Definitely psyched about the Invisible Jet, though... huge WW fan personally.
