  1. I pre-ordered the Luigi set from Target. Last year they shipped much sooner than S@H, where things tend to hang around "in warehouse."
  2. Thank you! I kind of merged two characters, both of whom sometimes have a bucket for a hat. Snow Pokey, and Mr. Blizzard
  3. Don't think I ever posted my snow level here, you may enjoy: https://imgur.com/L6Hxai1 https://imgur.com/If8oK1q https://imgur.com/86BmWaw
  4. Not sure about worldwide, but The Razor Crest is a notable Amazon exclusive in the US. I don't know if Amazon being a major LEGO retailer will influence the odds of sets being made for the show, but it can't hurt.
  5. Yes, but not just that they sell LEGO but are very likely in the top 3 biggest LEGO sellers. They are also one of a handful of retailers with a history of having exclusive sets. How many other retailers also make their own shows and movies?
  6. Although there is still not much known about the Amazon series I am reassured by the reports that the Tolkien estate is heavily involved. I think it is unlikely the series will be too inappropriate for LEGO, even if it is a bit more "mature" than the hobbit and LOTR films. The thing that makes me hopeful we'll get sets is the existing relationship between Amazon and LEGO. It's possible we could even see an entire theme that was Amazon exclusive. That wouldn't be ideal but I'd take it if that's how we get more Middle Earth sets. If we don't get anything out the gate we'll have to hope the series is successful enough to at least get a D2C later like stranger things.
  7. On both Youtube and Amazon trying to search for vidiyo gets autocorrected to video, so you have to click the small option to really search what you typed. Seems bad for promotion of the theme.
  8. So, when I saw this set had Nexo shields for its roof tiles, I knew I had to do a little mod. Some may call this blasphemy, but I had fun with it. Note: no Blacksmith sets were harmed in the making of this mod, I put it back to normal afterwards.
  9. Ice Cream Guy is $5, same as any CMF. The issue is that these can't be identified by feel.
  10. A lot of people repeat some variation that the beatboxes are "a figure, printed tiles, and a box" without mentioning there is a tiled logo for each character built on the back. There is one particular set of leaks that shows a few of the logo builds. These logos seem to comprise around 30 to 40 mostly small plates/tiles/ etc. I'm not saying this makes it worth $20, just think it's worth noting there is a small "build" with each one. I do agree the price is high and likely to come down.
  11. For this MOC, I wanted to re-create the behavior of Mario Thwomps, with an automatic drop and climb mechanism. Both Thwomps will continuously drop and rise up again, carried by a technic chain and driven by two motors. Check out the videos to see it in action. Video: More mechanism details: Video:
  12. If the question is "why a husky" and the answer is, "because they're cheaper" well that's what the answer is. It is not necessarily a design decision. Doesn't mean it is a good thing for us fans, but sometimes that's the deciding factor from LEGO's side. Personally I think the set looks great and I'll be buying it day one!
  13. So I have a theory about app integration with this line. Excuse me if something similar has already been posted. The leaked image shows a lot of tiles with sort of "album art" on them. It also shows a kid recording himself. I am thinking there might be an app that can be used to scan a line up of the tiles, and create a song from it. Each tile could represent a section of music and/or some video effects. Then the user could record themselves singing / dancing with the music and effects. This is just my guess, not based on any inside info.
  14. I think the set and figures look great! Wouldn't mind some farm animals or more figures but I'm ok with what we get. I like the spaulders (shoulder armor). This might be the first set I buy two of in quite a while.
  15. I've gotten my hands on a few of this series and I love the centaur and space police figures. One thing that supprised me was that the dolphin is actually a slightly different mold than the friends version. It is more angular and has a sharper beak. Edit to say I realize now this is not new but that there is a city version of the dolphin that appeared previously.
  16. Thanks for your detailed and well reasoned analysis! I like the looks of the model and agree both versions have their own styles that are not necessarily more realistic than each other.
  17. There definitely will be minifigures, they are just not in this picture. Rumor is 3 or 4 figures and a horse. Its not a new piece, it was used in CMF Series 20, the "Tournament Knight." I am glad to see it again though. In the picture it almost looks chrome, but that is probably just a artifact of the rendering.
  18. Still coming soon on the US site.
  19. Beautiful! I like the tilted window and the kitchen interior.
  20. So, this may seem similar to my previous Mario Kart MOC, but this time I've taken it to the next level with a complete loop of track, 4 different "worlds," and go carts built on RC car chassis. Check out the video at the end to see the karts being driven on the track!
  21. I've been working on more Mario level sections, and I combined the five I have made into one big level to try it out. Here are some photos, followed by videos of the levels in use and explanations of how the individual sections work. Hope you enjoyed!
  22. Really cool model, amazing selection of foliage parts, but price is high. Foliage parts tend to be expensive on the aftermarket though so it probably works out to be fairly reasonable value. Kind of annoying that this is priced to be 1 cent short of free shipping in the US.
  23. I made another level mechanism, watch the video to see how it works!
  24. Epic ship! The back looks great too. Black light picture is awesome.
  25. Awesome!
