The polybag was only $5.25 USD + shipping on ebay, bricklink is $7, but I'm not sure the best deal in Germany.

Does TLG filter negative reviews on S@H?
Vorkosigan replied to jodawill's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I can see why they would delete a review that is obviously just ranting at a price increase. Do you really think 1 star is fair because the price went up a couple dollars? Even with one star if your review was a bit longer and maybe talked about how just 16x16 plates are a better deal now I think its less likely to get deleted. -
No offense meant to Brickus, but I took some more orthogonal photos. Click for high resolution.

Interesting point about color of the Nova corps officer jumpsuit. I think all dark blue would have been more accurate, but maybe it was thought to be too low contrast with the ship? Or if it was all medium blue then printing of the leather armor on the legs and maybe some boots could have been nice. I still like the figure as-is though.

Thanks! I originally intended for it to detach, but struggled with making it compact enough with a full roof and detachment mechanism. As it is the squad compartment looks rather bulky especially from below. I'm sure it could be done with some more clever modifications.

So I wanted to make something more useful from the spaceship part of the Galactic Titan. It has that big open area in the back where it meshes to the tracked portion, so I thought what if I put a crew compartment there. Apologies if something like this has already been done. The idea is that this is now a dropship used for rapid deployment of an elite squad from orbit to the ground. The landing mechanisms have been modified for more vertical descent and a simple adjustable nose gun added. My personal favorite part is this custom label. Lastly here is a cutaway view of the interior loaded up and ready to roll.

What's the one set that really pains you for NOT buying it?

For me its all the Roman soldier CMF figures, particularly the one with the rectangular shield. -

Isn't it possible to remove printing with mineral spirits? Not sure if that works ok on the soft plastic though instead of ABS. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion

I picked up 5 galaxy troopers, 2 aliens, a king and a Egyptian warrior at Target. I had to ask again (this was my 3rd attempt) but this time the associate actually brought the display out for me. They didn't have a place ready to hang it but were nice enough to just put it on some open shelf space. The alien head is not ABS but was not as soft as I expected. Still looks quite good. I found them a bit hard to detect, ended up going with the gun pieces to confirm it. -
Target after-Christmas clearance 2014
Vorkosigan replied to rodiziorobs's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Pretty annoyed at Target this year. When asking about Series 13 CMF yesterday I was told they couldn't bring them out but there would be a reset overnight. So I went this morning to see what further markdowns there was, and all they did was move existing clearance to a new location and up some sets from 15% to 30%. Mostly Chima, a couple Star Wars. It didn't really look like an "overnight" so much as a "10 minutes before opening" since the LEGO aisle was still 60% bare, unopened cardboard boxes stacked all over the place. No CMF were out. There was another section of 70% off toys (no LEGO) so this may be as big as the markdown gets for LEGO. -
Help with identifying parts/sets!
Vorkosigan replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
They are the normal pieces used for flick fire missiles connected together small end to small end. Its the axle piece, then a flick fire pin, a normal connecting pin, a flick fire pin facing the other way, and the 1x1 round plate. -

Best way to organize a kid’s collection
Vorkosigan replied to Yatkuu's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think some shallow medium size drawers could work. I use some of these for large plates, cockpits, and other bulky pieces. But if someone wasn't going to sort too precisely I think these could work well for everything. Just roughly group by shape in each drawer. -
Name: Starblaster Showdown Theme: LEGO Marvel Superheroes Year: 2014 Pieces: 196 Minifigs: 3 Minifigures Price: USD $19.99 This is my first review so I welcome critique. Lets get started with the box art. Nice banner with the Guardians of the Galaxy team and an action oriented scene of the three components - a Nova Starblaster, a Sakaaran Necrocraft, and Star-Lord. The Star-Lord figure is used to demonstrate the scale of the set. Showing off the action features, typical flick fire missiles. The instructions, comic included across multiple sets, and the dreaded sticker sheet. A moderate amount of stickers for a set of this side. No printed parts other than the figs. Two numbered bags are included, 1 for the good guys, 2 for the bad. No truly unique parts, but I believe these guns are new for the GotG sets. The style seems very Halo-ish, especially the smaller ones. I also threw in the orb because hey, it contains an Infinity Stone so that's something. Not that rare but I haven't seen this rocky wedge piece before. Ok now for the figures The sakaaran is common to the GotG sets, detailed printing but nothing that great to me. Star-Lord has a different more casual outfit compared to the Milano jumpsuit. His printing is excellent, including leg details. Comes with both hair and helmet. I also quite like the Nova officer, especially his helmet. I think he'd make a good figure for a totalitarian police force in a moc. He's unique to this set. Star-Lord fully suited up. I didn't take many pictures of the build since the construction is fairly straight forward, but here is one shot of the inside of the engine / wing assembly on the Starblaster. Here we have the three components fully constructed. For details, first the Necrocraft: A very simple ship to provide an antagonist. Not too thrilled with it but it gets the job done. The windshield stickers spice it up but are a bit garish to me. The titular Starblaster is quite good looking for a small ship. Nice color scheme, cool articulated tail / wings. Instantly recognizable from the movie. Stickers are not too bad to apply and look good. With the way the tail spreads out, it could really use a transparent stand for display. Playability: 9/10 (Swooshable ships, the orb to fight over, what I'd expect overall) Design: 8/10 (Great design for the scale on the Starblaster, so-so design on the Necrocraft) Minifigures: 9/10 (Star-Lord and Nova officer are great, Sakaaran is okay but less critical anyway) Price: 8/10 (Good value for a licensed set) Overall: 8.5/10 (Overall a solid part of the GotG collection. And if you don't have budget for the Milano I think this and the Rocket polybag get you the best two characters at a good price with an iconic ship as well)

New 2015 sets not showing up on lego site
Vorkosigan replied to kermit's topic in General LEGO Discussion
They all changed from coming soon January 1st to just coming soon... No longer having a date there seems ominous, but hopefully someone just needs to wake up and flip the switch allowing them all for sale. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion

They aren't out yet at my Target so I asked with the DCPI, the employee went in the back but when he came back said they couldn't sell them till the 1st. I didn't give him a hard time since he already went out of his way but its a bit annoying since they had tons of City, SW, and friends Jan 1st sets already on the shelves. -
The Death Star appears in the January 2015 print catalog so I'm guessing it still has a while till retirement.

Target after-Christmas clearance 2014
Vorkosigan replied to rodiziorobs's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I saw the large coast guard boat, police set with truck towing a raft, the lego movie construction mech, and some SW stuff on clearance. I wasn't really paying attention to the markdowns since there wasn't anything too thrilling, mainly interested to see what is still around when the 50-70% off sale hits. No friends sets were marked down. Given that a lot of the Jan 1st friends sets were out (to fill shelf space) even before christmas, I think the theme has been selling too well at least at my store to warrant much clearance. -
LEGO Sets Catalog, First Half of 2015

Saw more than half of the January Friends sets already out at my local Target. -
I saw a lot of the new January sets at my Target last night. They had the hot air balloon, Olivia's vet ambulance, Mia's sports car, Emma's house, Stephanie's pizzeria (red scooter!), and Olivia's pool. They look great.

Amazing! A work of art.

Good vehicle designs for the humans and great figures. I'm not a big fan of bug style aliens though. I wish there were more small ships available, as well as bases... Will be tempted to buy more if I see them on a good discount though.

Honestly I don't even want to click these kind of articles anymore, just by going to the site you're giving them what they want. Basically they're trolling.
