Are we allowed to modify builds after posting them but before they are judged? The episode rules normally say that entries are work in progress until the deadline? thanks

The forest moon of Endor. Imperial Scout Troopers raced noisily on speeder bikes between the trees. My information sources hadn't been able to say why the Empire was interested in such a place, although I had seen signs of construction as I approached from orbit. I only knew that they had been foolish enough to use wookie slaves in the middle of a forest, and had been careless enough to let one escape. One of the Scout Troopers looped around and came to a stop before dismounting from his speeder bike. The officer in charge of over seeing the construction had despatched several squads of these troopers in a futile search for the escaped wookie. Not all of them returned from their patrols. Desperate to prevent his superiors from discovering his lack of judgement, he had quietly offered a bounty for the capture or elimination of his wookie problem. This didn't mean that the searches had been stopped, and the troopers accompanying the officer had dismissed the idea that a lone bounty hunter could achieve where they had failed. I watched from high in a tree. The natural clearing provided one of several regular stopping points for the scouts taking a break. I'm sure they knew deep down that they had no chance of capturing the wookie buzzing around making so much noise, but it wouldn't do their careers much good if they returned from their patrols too soon. As well as stealth I had one other advantage over these troopers to help me to catch their prey, it would never occur to them to use one of their own brothers as bait. The trooper panicked and turned to flee as the wookie emerged from the undergrowth. Unfortunately for him the rampaging wookie was faster and he lost an arm before leading the wookie into one of my traps. I didn't particularly like the idea of recapturing escaped slaves. Had I thought that the poor wookie would go off to make its own way in the forest I might have even felt guilt. Instead I figured eventually his attacks on his previous masters would grow bolder and he would wind up getting shot, so capturing him alive was really in his best interests. Plus desperate Imperial officers always paid well... Overview: The speeder bikes: Thanks for looking Jannik

The battle damaged A wing looks great. Your old thread showing your squadron and all the pilots and crew with lots of different alien species was the reason I first found Eurobricks

[SoNE Ep XI] The Tip of the Force Pike
Jannik replied to LucasLaughing's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Those swamp speeders look so believable, everything looks functional and I love all the little details like the lights on the sides. The sense of scale is great too, those buildings look enormous. -
[SoNE Ep. XI] Recruitment drive on the rings
Jannik replied to Jannik's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Thanks for all your comments! Fairly small build because it took me a while to think of an idea and then I had to finish it before I went away. Junior Shark, I assume you mean how did I do the spacing for the benches? I used a stack of 1x1 and 1x2 bricks with studs on the sides, this gives a row of studs that are a bit further apart than normal so that the curved parts attached to them have gaps between. WickNole, I did consider doing a micro planet outside the window but it didn't look right, buy thanks for the suggestion. Cheers! -
The Sarge and I were undercover on the rings of Kuat, hoping to recruit a computer programmer to help crack the Supercomputer. I was back in my familiar gear, whilst the Sarge had been issued "Inconspicuous freighter pilot outfit #3" by Rebel intelligence. We had been told that we would find our target in one of the smaller Tapcafes that serviced one of the cargo docks of Kuat Drive Yards. I ordered the drinks from the server droid, whilst the Sarge kept a lookout. As expected, our mark was drinking alone in one of the booths. "Don't mind if we join you, do you?" "Well....I....." "Good, plenty of room. Could have picked a booth with a view of the planet instead of out into the empty nothingness" He looked unimpressed as we settled down alongside him, placing his glass on the plaswood table about to protest, before the server droid brought our drinks. "You don't seem very pleased of our company, had a hard day?" "Well...not difficult, I could programme these stupid cargo unloaders with my eyes closed...., just tiring after twelve standard hours..." "You sound like someone who needs more of a challenge, perhaps from someone who appreciates your skills? Why don't you have another drink...?" This job was starting to turn out more easy than we had expected, I thought, as the Sarge knocked back another Correlian Ale... Overview: Thanks for looking

Wow, I was hoping to get into the top ten so really pleased with my score! Congratulations to LucasLaughing, well all three at the top actually, looks like the scores were quite close? Good to see a balanced number of entries from each side, and that us rebels got a higher average even though we made a mess of the whole betting thing. Thanks Beaver for organising, really enjoyed this episode

[SoNE Ep. VIII] Eliminating the Competition
Jannik replied to Commander Beltar's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Really like the bantha, the pod racer and the building, especially the interior. Are gungans really sharp enough to pilot those things? -
This has got to be the winning entry, everything in this large scene is such high quality. I really like how many different blocks of colour you have managed to include whilst still keeping it coherent and with a Tatooine vibe. The cut away buildings is a neat touch and not something I have seen before.

I second Wick Nole's bet

Sergeant Diggs took cover behind a moisture vaporator and beckoned us forward. I could see him starting to sweat, the rebel soldiers wore improvised gear and the more vocal members of the team had complained bitterly that they were not properly equipped for the dry heat of the desert. We were on Tatooine, the evening before the annual pod races. I still don't quite understand why this was of such interest to the Alliance, but the intelligence agent had stressed the importance of sabotaging the entry by a pair of Bith brothers. They didn't know which organisation was really behind the unlikely race entry, but suspected that it was funded using Imperial credits. The Sergeant had requested my help on the mission because of my previous life as a mechanic. Apparently one of the pod racers engines had been down on power during testing and had been returned to a secret workshop owned by the brothers. This was to be our target. He made it very clear that I still wasn't officially part of his squad, but I knew that this was the best chance I had to join the rebellion so had agreed to come along. I hoped that I wouldn't regret that decision as we held position and waited for a squad of sandtroopers to pass, luckily they headed off down a different alleyway. This area of Mos Escaat was like a wampa rat warren of alleyways between run down looking buildings. After the troopers were safely past, I asked the Sergeant how he knew whether we were in the right place in this maze of sand coloured buildings. The level of security is normally a good indication of being in the right place he said, gesturing upwards towards the look out at the top of a tower. I nervously trained my blaster on the Trandoshan, despite guessing that he was out of range. However he seemed more interested in tracking the sand trooper squad and didn't seem aware of our presence. As the others prepared to enter a small building opposite the tower I started to wonder whether this mission would be my first and last with the rebel soldiers. I heard a dull thud from inside the building, and we moved inside quietly. Inside, the Sarge stood on a walkway, with an unconscious guard at his feet. Looking over the railings I saw that the rocks underneath the building had been carved away, turning this inconspicuous looking small building into a two storey workshop large enough to hold the single pod racer engine that was suspended by chains from an overhead gantry. As I set to work removing the access panel from the starboard side of the engine the Sarge planted an empty bottle of Correllian whiskey next to the guard. As well as suffering the blow to the head he would now wake up to be punished for drinking on duty, negating any claims that he might make about being assaulted. As the others prepared to move out, I inserted the charges deep inside the engine. If we were lucky the engine wouldn't be started until it was on the start line for the race, meaning that any bets made on it would still be valid and wasted. If not then at least those Imperial credits would have gone to waste. A small mechanic droid assisted me in replacing the engine cover, and I was grateful that he would be unable to tell his owner about the acts that he had just participated in. At the far end of the workshop a ramp provided our exit, which was also carved into the rock beneath the thin covering of sand on the ground. At the top of the ramp, a GNK power droid waited patiently. Sarge I said, there is one way to increase the odds that they don't try and start the engine before the race. All we have to do is steal their power droid... Overview: Thanks for looking
