Gandalf the white and Saruman will get a new shared hair/beard piece. Chanses are very high that it will be just like in the game.

I did a little photoshopping to see what 2x black gate sets could look like, I didnt care much for the set when i first saw it but I think it will look glorious when you combine 2! (I also added some rock pieces at the end to complete it.) IMAGE LINK

Here is a set idea I would like to see. 108 pieces, 5 minifigures, Fimbul the hunter, 2 Rivendell soldiers, 1 orc And Kili since lego would "need" a hero figure. The bears are obviosuly representing wargs here. Hopefully you remember the scene from the hobbit.

In the designer video the designer spefficaly refrenced the last alliance in regards to the sword. We'll see when we starts getting traiers for DOS___ I hope there will be a Osgiliath set "soon" We need Faramir and Gondorian soldiers. They are the last missing MAJOR faction. Can't wait to see how the new armored orcs looks, orc variety has been severely poor so far. DOes anyoby know who took the leaked pictures? there certainly exists bigger versions of them, no camera takes pictures that small. And why was ther only pictures of 1 page for each theme, there looked to be more pages with same theme.

the only scene where the eagles and fell beasts appear together is the black gate, if they were to put in a fellbeast aswell it would propably double the price, (besides they are only gonna release one fell beast set and that will be the witch king and Eowyn. several sets with fell beasts are a waste *speculation*) 11 new minifugures isnt bad for a small second wave. 6 new molds: white wizard hair/beard, mouth of sauron helm, eagle orc helmet? Arwen hair? Narsil/anduril? Its kindof a shame that they made a mold for the elven loong sword used at last alliance, a normal sized elven sword seems like it would be more usefull.

Made a design for a cape for Yazneg, i find the thing lego put on him looks terrible.some would propably prefer it in beige, but in the movie hes bone stuff is pretty dark looking.

I didnt care much for Azog in the movie cause of the lackluster CG work, but He can looks quite good as a minifigure. Quick general sketch I did for myself. no face..

Corsair ship seems like a really odd thing to make a set of, in the normal version of the movie its hardly in there at all and it contains no action.

Why on earth is this in the lisenced section and not in the History section. All other wild west stuff in in the history section. If LOTR should be in history then so should this. lisenced already got TMNT, marvel + DC super heroes while history only got lotr + hobbit, I know one of the arguments for having lotr be in history was the fact that lisenced forum already was too busy. Besides.... the western fans should already be "hanging out" in the history forum.

Nice, Martin freeman(Bilbo) keeps talking about how he's proud of being a minifig on Colbert report. Always cool hearing when actors with minifigs of them enjoy it.

Its to do with production times, the video games ship could have been designes months ago to fit it into the game, while the real set might just have recently started production. Like lego batman video didn't use the updated characther designs for all caractehrs coming in 2013.

Darth malgus cape eliminated the crunshing of the cape and would work great for elf hair, the cape in that image jstu looks bad, how it kindof doesent stats till under his shoulders.

That cape is longer, but whats the hell is going on with it? is this some new shape, or just something they have mashed together to solve this specific issue? The normal long cape looks much better. I do however think the elves would look much sleeker with darth malgus style capes, they all have the hair to keep it in place.

I think you people are severly overestimating the size of sauron in the movie. He looks great as a normal sized minifig, if he needs some extra height, the Woody(toys story) legs/arms would work very well in my opinion. Heres a full body shot of treebeard from the game he looks pretty good, especialy when moving.
