Nothing new and fancy, but I changed all the color to colors that accually excist in real lego bricks.

lego does some financial report every year? quarter? half year? In the last report LOTR was doing very well. I'm not sure when the next is.there should be a 2012 annula report showing up this month, not sure exactly what they say in those, but alteast youll know if lego had a gd year or not:P

But it looks kindof stupid and certainly is not the one advertised with the figure. There are much better options for non interfering capes. The shredder minifigure this was made for doesent even have long hair or anything similar.

When they finished shooting this summer, they all got their minifigure, there are pictures of each dwarf in costume holding their minifigure. LINK

No not at all, Radagast does not have 3 braids. That short of things only sortof works with costom minifigs.

Hmm is LEGO even allowed to sell it as a minifigure by itself? usualy not. In my opinion that is not the correct cape at all, it looks better than the short one, but still kindof silly looks very much like a triangle 4625528 is the part number that should be asked for.

Elrdonds circlet hair in the game does not work for Galadirel cause of the huge braid in the back and the several decorative knots in his hair in front. If they do make a Thranduil ( ) they will most likely make a new hairpiece for him, uless they pick some scene where he's not wearing it. it will/would be made of the rubbery material and I'm guessing the pointy parts of his crown would be no thinner than the thinest part on blackbeard's beard I really hope we get a Thranduil figure this year, But we might have to wait till 5 armies, cause the interesting scene with the elves is already covered in a lego set. I also hope we get Radagast in the future with a new hat mold obviously. Beorn might need a new hair aswell ( who knows!) Bard should be using Fili/Thorin hair (it looks like it was made for Bard) Master of laketown could use the Dastan hair but I'd like to see lego do a sleezy slick hair like his. It would work for Grima aswell. Bolg could use soemthing new if hes featured.

the 4 "normal" lotr sets have always had july release date, it said so directly on the pictures of the sets we got.

From the looks of it its apperas to be be more of a d2c or just a large "hard to find" set. Im not famililar with previous UCS sets but I think the accuracy of this build will be more normal set-looking than lego buildt miniature/model. It could be that this is one of those sets thats released a month or 2 before or after the main release of the wave (black pearl)

Some elves have their hair over their ear and some under the ears, also in action scenes most of the hair flows to the back. I'm all for unique hair, but i dont think a new generic one would replace the current one at all. I think the female elves should get their own new mold with hair over the ears down in front.

It would be nice with a special hair for Elrond, but it wouldn't really work for any other minifigure. Could that not be an early orc forge?

The wizard battle comes with a throne, 2 torch pillar things. a piece of floor with the palantir on. My buess is the palantir itself might be one of those chima balls cause it looks very big. I would prefer one of those small bals you can connect to a stud... Looks to me like Arwen has new hair and Elrond does not. But OBVIOUSLY this is not exactly science.

The shredder cape has 2 holes, and the chima cape is outside the armor not inside/behind it. darth malgus and Dwalin's capes have 1 hole cause its btween the hair/armor and torso.

Whywould they be replacing it with shredder capes instead of the ones from CHIMA the chima ones are normal long capes arn't they?

They dont have replacements for unique promo promo figures.

I'd imagine their new mold budget was already too high in the hobbit wave, with all the new hairpieces for the dwarves, so they couldn't spend the money on tauriel.

Do you guys think well get a new elven hairpiece with the Arwen minifigure? Perhaps one that will work better with future minifigures of Tauriel seeing as her current hairpiece is very unaccurate. The hairpiece arwen is using in the game would work reasonably well for all the female elves really. I would want them to make an unique hairpiece for Tauriel tho, cause her hair is pretty special.

This would be how I'd make an improved uruk pike. Prefferably the connector pin would be the 1,5 one with a stud on it, but that doesen't exist in black.
