  1. Welcome to the community, Chris! I flipped through your selection of sets; I definitely regret missing out on so much of The Lord of the Rings sets; those were some fantastic designs!
  2. Hello, trainiac! I absolutely love that username. Very fun and clever. Most of my wife's family are Canadian. I love any opportunity I get to go and visit with them. How long have you been a fan of Lego's trains?
  3. I'm finally getting around to ordering the armored Batman from the app-controlled set, alongside of the bat-cessories that come in that set as well. I'm gonna play around with the pieces; I have a couple of spare metallic-silver arms I'm replacing the plain black arms with, and I'm pretty likely to put a black cowl on it as well, depending on how I think it looks.
  4. I reeeeeeally hope so! Tarzan would be quite useful for MOCs. However, I would first have to make the decision to not keep Tarzan together, and I don't know if I could do that to myself.
  5. #1 Clark was proud to see his first how-to book, How to Get Free Mardi Gras Beads, hit the shelves. #2 "I can't believe someone would go out dressed like that. Such gaudy apparel; who wears a yellow fedora???" #3 "It's fine, Skeets. I'll crop it and it'll look like they're right here with us!" #4 "...Ladies." #5 It was at this moment that Chuck began second-guessing his decision to test his prototype Kite rig from this location. #6 Behold, a merciless killing machine... as photographed by Zoom. #7 Even after the restraining order, Harley had ways to keep her obsession alive. #8 "Alright, Batman. Say cheese... Cheese!" #9 Reverse Flash was ecstatic at the opportunity before him; in his own future time, pesky life-saving technology meant it was impossible to drown sailors for fun. #10 Their feet grew tired, and the music tortured their exhausted minds, but when a seven-foot-tall man-shark wants to keep dancing, you better well keep dancing. #11 Wally caught eye-contact with his cousin, and instantly, they both realized: no one would be fast enough to stop them from taking the neighborhood's Halloween candy for themselves.
  6. TT games is not new to accidentally naming the original instead of the legacy characters. LB2 mistakenly called Tim Drake "Dick Grayson" when briefly out of costume. I find it weird that Cyborg also lacks his sonic canon, which is one of his signature weapons, and explosives as well, so there are definitely a handful of odd ability omissions. Like the fact that most Lanterns can't dig now, although Lantern powered characters might get OP if they were allowed to make constructs as thoroughly as they actually can. Guys, I just noticed, when you do Black Adam's grapple-takedown (circle/b grab then circle/b again) he hits the enemy with a chair as a hilarious nod to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. With as many easter eggs as this game is chock full of, I am very tempted to put together a big video/set of videos the way Arkhamverse did for the Batman: Arkham games. If anyone notices something of the sort and wishes to send it to me, let me know. The best way I've found is going into the extras photo gallery and saving it from there, although this sadly does leave the "exit" button prompt visible. I've gotten a handful of screenshots so far; do you want us to upload them here onto this page when we do?
  7. Ooh, that looks great! I love how his eyes are visible under the red visor.
  8. Can't quite seem to locate that one. The closest one I've seen is a photoshopped version someone made with pinkish lenses that someone made to match up more with the Rage of Atlantis look.
  9. Sorry, that wasn't supposed to be a text link. It accidentally caught on the picture's url info, somehow. I think it's just a regular flat cape.
  10. sans cape Dumb joke (and crappy photoshop) aside, the Ocean Master we're getting is pretty close to the Ocean Master in the movie, minus the extra details these movies always add to every last surface on the fig. While it's not a 100% perfect match, I bet the preliminary designs were shown to the animation studio before the physical figure's design was 100% set in stone.
  11. I've seen the yelling face (and agree, it looks great for battle cries), but I've only seen that face. Have there been pics of the face side that isn't yelling?
  12. I definitely would like to see his other face. Is it neutral? Evil smirk? Red goggle-like details like Killer Moth had on one side? The possibilities are endless, if you consider something around six or seven possibilities as endless.
  13. That's an Ocean Master I can approve of.
  14. Have there been any announcements as to when we will start seeing DLC, such as the character packs, rolling out?
  15. You haven't missed it yet; Lex Luthor's Mech should still be available for purchase a bit longer. I think DC had movie sets delayed upon release in the past, but I'm not exactly sure which film it was (BvS, maybe?) and we still had other sets when the movie wave was supposed to come out, so I'd wager Lego is working on putting something together to take the place of any Wonder Woman sets we won't be getting yet.
  16. Yes, and I would be down for finding screenshots for it as well. Fiddling around with the character creator, I can't seem to get characters with guns to fire from their guns. I made Flashpoint Batman, and first he wouldn't fire at all, so I tweaked it. Then he did nothing but pie bombs on both Square and Circle, for some reason. Then he would fire the bolts from his hands. Then back to square one. Really weird glitch; anyone know any fixes?
  17. Yeah, really. Seeing as (pun unavoidable) he is very toyetic, there would be so much potential for good sets. My best guess is that they've not used him yet since he's not quite as well-known as Lex, Zod, and Brainiac, but since TLG's moved into lesser-knowns, he does seem like a plausible future figure. It will be interesting to see how many characters do appear in sets like they do in this game, if any. LB3 had the characters, and even some sets, appear shortly thereafter, but with the rumored future DC sets right now, there don't seem to be any besides Poison Ivy and Firefly that we know of.
  18. That would definitely lend to why TLG might be a bit more fiscally conservative with the DC theme, then. Making more money back before they get extravagant.
  19. The piece I really want to see return is Catwoman's mask with goggles. Mr. Freeze's shoulder-to-helmet piece would also be a nice return. However, for right now, I don't think we'll be seeing either, based on what we know about the 2019 sets. As for Ivy's hairpiece, there are really two simple options: 1) Ivy's classic look, which is being adapted here, usually has her hairstyle fairly simple and down, which this piece captures well. In her modern incarnation, she's more in-touch with nature and cares less about things like styling her hair. In TLBM, she's wearing more fashion-styled outfits, more in line with something Uma Thurman might have worn for B&R, which did do more to intentionally style her hair. 2) This piece is cheaper. Lego can't always do huge and expensive things for every theme, and often has to be more budget-smart. We are getting a new mold for Firefly and dual molded legs for Flash, so it's not like TLG is just cheaping out on us, but every decision of the sort adds production costs. Sure, the piece might only add a few cents to make on one set, but across the thousands of sets that will be made, this would add up. And though I'm sure TLBM sets did well enough to be financially in the black for the theme, I also am pretty sure they weren't such huge successes as to blow profits out of the water, which is what TLG may have wanted. Playing it cheaper now means more room for continued profit for the theme; the more profit the theme makes, the more new, awesome, and elaborate pieces and characters we'll get as it continues.
  20. Beat the main story levels (there are a few more bonus levels I haven't beaten yet) and spent a little time running around in the main world. I stand by what I've said before; I love the story. It is extremely well-paced. Unlike Marvel 2 or Batman 3, which both had pacing problems as well as a "heroes gather a set of MacGuffins" for large chunks of story, this one is balanced out well; what you are doing, and who you are doing it as, is always changing up to keep things fresh. Even characters like Batman, Joker, or Harley, who can often be overused to the point of overshadowing everyone else, feel perfectly balanced for their roles. Your character stays very important to the plot without ever becoming a Mary Sue or getting overused, and frankly, this addition has made this one of the best Lego games hands-down. Future games definitely need to include this as well, as much as possible. While some of the movie-based ones obviously won't allow it, future original story games like Marvel and DC should, and with a little imagination, others could too; imagine a Lego Harry Potter game where you make a trio of original characters a la Harry, Hermione, and Ron, and have your own lessons and adventures at Hogwarts. I would buy the crap out of that game. Here are some beats from the story I particularly liked. Obviously, spoilers ahoy . If anyone has any questions about the game, as away. I'll be glad to answer what I can and figure out what I don't initially know.
  21. I'm not too upset about Ivy's upcoming hair piece, primarily because it's going to let me give Mera a more proper red color! The new Ivy will get one of the extra leaf-printed versions of that hair I have.
  22. Just over halfway through the levels. I am seriously impressed with how good the writing is; there are several interesting and unexpected moments so far, and a few set up just for your custom character to look awesome (I highly recommend you either play as yourself or any original character you have a lot of fondness for, because these will fill you with pride). I do hate that Darkseid's presence was given away in trailers; the story is legitimately strong enough that it would have been something of a twist, although very well foreshadowed so as to get any DC fans with knowledge of the lore excited for it beforehand.
  23. Good summary; I basically made me into the character creation, although slightly more muscular than real life... I do wish they had included hoodie options for initial creation, as my love of my (obnoxiously) bright teal hoodie would've been perfect for my purposes. And this is the song: I had to do quick research to find it. I knew it was Wolfmother from recognizing their sound from a different song, but I wasn't familiar with this one.
  24. After playing a couple of levels, I'm so far impressed on all fronts. Writing and voice acting are top notch, even when I don't immediately recognize the voice actor proper. I've actually audibly laughed at more than one joke. Gameplay feels less "floaty" than some of the other Lego games, which is good. And the second level is going to be very well-loved by anyone who played the original Lego Batman back in the day; it even has a well-designed boss battle of the sort I always wanted to see back in that game. There have been a couple of subtle nods to the classic Batman movies and to Arkham City as well. Definitely jumping back in soon.
