  1. As a general set, is the T-Rex set worth picking up? I'd love the dino and the minifigs, but $70 is way more than I tend to spend outside of DC Super Heroes sets.
  2. I doubt it'll be new. Damien's costume has been pretty consistent since he became Robin. Even returning from the dead with short-lived powers didn't change his look. Unless he's wearing League of Assassins armor, the torso at least may be the same. Is this the first time we've gotten three generations of the same family in one Lego set? Ra's --> Talia --> Damien. And since Batman ties in as Damien's father, the entire set lineup has family bonds!
  3. Maybe Damien will have a black hood, either on his head or the neck type piece. Either way, Desert Batman sounds fantastic!
  4. Brilliant. I was thinking Sinestro Corps. Thanks!
  5. I've managed to pick up every DC dvd 'fig for a good price, with the exception of Clark Kent. I sadly missed out on him. The rest I got below the official starting price.
  6. Couple of questions: Does Olaf's head brick fit on a regular minifigure neck? And does Beast's "Mask" head fit on regular minifigures heads, or just on minidolls?
  7. Both good sets! Clash has great figures, and the build is decent fun with the play features, but I doubt it'll remain together for too long. Interception also has pretty great figures, as well as what is one of my favorite Batmobile builds. The forklift is a decent touch too. If you haven't gotten the BvS Batwing, it's worth it too; it has the best selection of figures and the build is awesome. Even Lex's goofy little copter has charm to it. Wonder Woman is a must have.
  8. Update: Now the Mystery Machine is my newest licensed set. It's phenomenal!
  9. Deathstroke and BvS Batman both had dual legs in $30 sets. Point being I'm just a picky perfectionist about it. :D
  10. I flipped through the character encyclopedia after it got in. Mostly good, but it has a few odd mistakes, especially on the Batman Begins Batman page. Obviously, the pirate Batman is great. My only nitpick is why he doesn't have dual-molded and printed legs. If a Collectible Minifigure can have both for $4, a figure in a book like this should be able to afford this too.
  11. Who would've thought having dozens of writers across fifty-ish stories that mostly have to tie in together as one mega-continuity would ever get confusing? :D My way of reading comics is like this: Read the story arcs I want, don't worry about the rest, and let future stories explain any little details from before that are relevant to the current arc. When that fails, and something doesn't make sense without the prior information, just guess. It's usually close enough to clear things up temporarily.
  12. I have the feeling this movie won't outright have the twist incorporated, but I can almost guarantee there will be clever allusions to it throughout. I wonder if we're going to see general yellow minifigs anywhere, possibly including preexisting characters (a la Johnny Thunder), or if they'll all be DC-related. For that matter, will the civilians be flesh-tones or yellow?
  13. I just ordered the new DC fig book. It occurred to me, Pirate Batman is the first Batman that is justified having a glorious sun tanned face!
  14. Of course, the New 52 costumes are somewhat out of date already anyway. Dick Grayson has been a special agent for a while, Cyborg has a more simplified look since his solo series, and Batgirl's costume is one of many with a drastic overhaul. But I suppose I'm nitpicking.
  15. Darkseid is somewhat New 52, especially with size, although his design didn't change much. Green Arrow is New 52, and although it's fairly subtle, so is Cyborg. Batman's recent gray costume across multiple sets (i.e. Jokerland) is. Some of the characters didn't really get a visual overhaul in the New 52, like Green Lantern and Aquaman, but the minifig versions are designed to reflect their modern look, so they could technically count.
  16. That's the big reason this theory feels plausible. All we need is a cast list or some high-def images to give us more of a confirmation or not.
  17. Does anyone else think it's odd that GCB has an exclusive blue Nightwing but the movie Nightwing is still New 52? I'll still be picking it up, but that seems bizarre.
  18. I wonder if we'll actually get Mr. Freeze with his red goggles this time. If so, I'm definitely using that head for the most recent minifigure version. I love the design of it all, except for the ungoggled face. It absolutely kills me that they wouldn't even include a dual-sided head for him when the back of his head is actually covered.
  19. I think it is Croc, but with a more crocodile-shaped head instead of a human one (some artists draw him that way). He's probably the same Hulk-green this year's upcoming Croc will be in, which in this lighting, looks very not-green. As for the dots, uh... he caught measles?
  20. You can at least "close" the mouth by angling the lower jaw up onto the exposed stud, leaving the claw grip angled on the rod. It's not perfect, but it works.
  21. The scarred half is designed to look like half-melted plastic, most likely, and there is speculation that the good half is modeled after Billy Dee Williams, who played Harvey Dent in Batman '89, but was replaced by Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face himself. This could be a roundabout way to actually see a Billy Dee Two-Face.
  22. She was the main reason I picked up that set!
  23. I really hope we get some high-def images of the characters soon. These trailer zoom-ins are nice to have, but they lack juuuust enough detail to make me want more.
  24. I tend to collect DC sets, due to the high price of collecting, but I tend to pick up small Ninjago sets as well. I absolutely love Cole's tiny dragon; it is one of my favorite small-range sets ever!
