  1. What Lego needs to do now is release a Spidey with a green torso under both blue and red printing. That way we'd all be united... in our hate! :D
  2. Yeah, this set doesn't need arm/leg printing. There aren't preexisting details that needed to be represented on the characters' limbs.
  3. Gah, why are they using the black-brick head??? This cowl has a chin, it doesn't need it!!!
  4. Kidnapping is probably how Talia would've picked up Damian from preschool, if the League of Assassin's actually had preschool. I find it odd that the set gives Ra's a golden katana as his default sword, instead of a normal metallic sword, since I can't recall him having a fully-golden one anywhere. At least we get a normal one in the set. Does anyone know why Lego has put out so many gold katanas the last few years? Are they somehow cheaper to produce or something?
  5. Ba dum chh. After seeing Civil War, I have to say that the sets aren't very accurate. Crossbone's set represents a truck that isn't entirely there, Black Widow was in civvies during it (and the costume in the set is her AoU look, not even her CW look), and Falcon's hair piece is rather off. Black Panther's set is entirely vehicles that weren't present for the chase scene, and Cap had his mask on for it. The airport is mostly okay, except for Carter's inclusion; although since other merchandise has her in the scene, that probably was a requirement for Lego to follow. The sets aren't bad, I just think BvS spoiled me for relatively accurate movie-sets. Since saying any more than that has the potential for a rather heated debate, I'll just say that this comment is in no way expressing opinion either way about the themes, sets, or movies.
  6. First thing I'm gonna do is give Ra's the Dragon katana from Ninjago. I am surprised I like the buggy as much as I do. I wasn't expecting to care about it, but it's actually quite cool! And the stickers are hilarious; "Bruce + Talia" heart, and a comical how-to for the pit show a loving attention to detail on the designer's part. As for the people asking why Talia would lock her own son up, Talia is very villainous at times in the comics. In fact, when Damian died (he got better), Talia had a big hand in the plot that lead to it. For some reason, some adaptations (such as the animated movies) show her more antiheroic (a la Catwoman), when the opposite is really the case, especially in Grant Morrison's stories. Some writers even had her drug Bruce to conceive Damian.
  7. I actually find the set quite charming! The pit is a tad simple, but I can see myself sprucing it up. And we even get four new figures, even if one is somewhat technically "new."
  8. They are, but be warned. The printed elements were very "fuzzy" looking when I got them.
  9. The printed tiles here are going to be nice, too. Most of the printed tiles I got with the Mighty Micros were rather "rough" looking, and they were even from different stores.
  10. That Lex torso is rather spot-on. I may just have to get it after all.
  11. But only if she reminds us how crazy it was that she was a barista a short while ago. 2016 has been a great year for DC figs. I know they've always been generally high-quality, but dang are they spoiling us this year.
  12. I did the same thing. Hopefully when (if) we ever get a Hawkgirl she'll have it as the default weapon.
  13. It's one of my favorite DC vehicle sets.
  14. That's my plan, assuming it looks good. Otherwise I may just skip the figure entirely.
  15. That's a promising torso print, and the Lime armor isn't as atrocious as it could have been. I still hate that Lego is just overusing Bruce Wayne's face instead of one of Lex's two faces.
  16. I understand why they gave Ra's the angry face (coming out of a Lazarus Pit does cause a brief frenzy of absolute insanity) but it is a shame we don't get a calm, collected de-aged Ra's. Still a good figure though.
  17. I really hope, if Desert Batman does have a type 2 cowl instead of a type 3, that they give him an old head. I tolerate the printed-on-black heads only because they provide a chin to the chinless cowl, and would serve no purpose here.
  18. Oooooor I could just be a continuity hiccup. Or a design choice. Or the brick water wasn't ready to be shown yet, so they temporarily went with a pre-existing water animation. Or a space-wizard did it.
  19. I'm alright with the character specifics. When I need a generic power-armored look, I tend to go for torsos from the Space line.
  20. Looks good! God, I love that minifigure. One of my favorites, with and without armor.
  21. One of the discussions, I believe over in the Lego Batman Movie thread, is that they are distinct lines, and that the DC wave will be non-Batman characters. I'd actually need someone to confirm that, though, and it isn't 2016 related, so you may want to look into that on the other thread.
  22. I agree. I think TLBM is just designed to be stylized and unique from the normal line as an incentive to buy its sets too. Is it possible the DC Girls line got canned with Lego? If not, that's three distinct themes based on DC properties next year.
