  1. I thought Disney 3 was pretty sure by heavy rumours.
  2. Only 15 voters make me think this game isn't appealing
  3. Hello! Just reporting a fact, I happened to have a LEGO Brand Store allowing me some days ago to pick up not entire minifigures, but 15 parts whichever they were. This started a big discussion in italian facebook groups in which a gang of users started affirming that there actually was no limit of accessories per minifigure but your own self awareness of what would have been "too much". Obviously this sounded very strange, so I questioned this and they even came up with pictures in which they took more than allowed. So I had to inquiry various Store managers and clerks and I got a reply which is pretty obvious but adds more to the schema. It's (and always has been) 1 complete minifig with accessory x3 for the price stated (which varies depending on the State you are in). Even what they allowed me (15 parts regardless what kind they are) is not admitted. And this rule comes directly from above, from TLG itself, this is the interesting part, so nobody would be allowed to break it, even if they sometimes do.
  4. As for now I have 9 entries. Apart from me, the voters are @Robert8 @Digger of Bricks @1Panda @K_Tiger @Lego-fire @DarrellBricker @lifeinplastic @Toalruini (which for some unknown reasons I can't tag). 16 days left.
  5. September is coming and I'll unveil everyone's list.
  6. This means every box will contain 32 male characters and 28 female, approaching to the 1:1 ratio.
  7. Yeah, it's quite unusual. Btw I'll wait too. Fantastic reviews are them.
  8. Yeah no problem, it was however useful, even if very rough. Our bar is kind of high having @WhiteFang
  9. After seeing this review (which I personally dislike a lot, sorry), I'll say that the bounty hunter raises and the monkey king also, being tan and not flesh. I revise my previous ratings on these two only, raising the bounty hunter at a 9/10 and the monkey king at a 7/10
  10. Separating sports from city is strange to me. Sports are practiced mainly in the city theme.
  11. I was thinking to do it personally for everybody :)
  12. I still fear for the DC comics series to be true. It would make sense, alas.
  13. I'll share my thoughts like @Robert8 did after the HiRes pictures: Gamer guy. 5/10 - Unsure wheter I like the shirt or not, I like always the nods to older stuff (M-Tron, Blacktron and Classic Space). The tile is nice... but way too big to represent an actual game. a 1x2 tile should have been used. I don't like the green color for hair at all. The gamepad looks cool and raises alone my opinion on this one minifig. Shower guy. 3/10 - Very odd choice for accessories (if you take a bath I can understand the duckling but why with the shower?) and bizarre choice to make him wear underwear under the towel. No new molds for this one, so it's a pretty lame and boring minifigure with no new accessories. Ghost/Vampire Knight 9/10 - Simply stunning. No new accessories and that's the only reason it doesn't get a 10, but the decision to print the torso with a new unique pattern is super cool. Have a lot of potential use. Monkey King 6/10 - Nice idea but now that I see him better, I don't like how it come out too much. Two things bother me much: the use of light flesh and the Ruyi Jingu Bang is poorly represented because of the cheap use of the lightsaber hilts. Robot Programmer. 2/10 - Very boring minifigure that could have found better use in a normal city set. Only thing nice is the word LEGO written in binary on her shirt. Mummy 7/10 - Very nice minifigure but again no new molds and the scorpion looks a cheap decision for an accessory where an ankhed staff would have been perfect. Johnny Thunder 6/10 - I side with @Robert8 in saying that the accessory is quite cheap, but the minifigure overall looks ok to me. The chameleon looks good. Nothing execeptional. Firefighter 1/10 - I bet the only reason they did this minifigure is because they pretty represented any city minifigure they've done through the years in this series BUT a firefighter. So I guess one spot should have been taken sooner or later. But I fail to side this minifigure to the CMF series instead of the city theme. Really. Dog Walker 5/10 - Here i have to split my judgement. The minifigure would deserve a 2/10 and the accessories a 8/10 so I did a mathematical average. The minifigure has the same flaw that have many of this series: it's just a city minifigure. The dogs on the other hand are cool and the poop is nice. Pizza Costume Guy 3/10 - I thought they were going to do a Pizza Costume Guy sooner or later, but this one is really lame. As an italian, I cannot like that kind of pizza. Galactic bounty hunter - 7/10 to 9/10 - While waiting for the head to be revelead, the rest is very very nice. I really love this minifigure but I side with @Robert8 when he says that we should have had a known minifigure (like BRICK DADDY) on the tile. Retiree 3/10 - The only thing that is interesting is the flamingo. It's like they wanted to do a Flamingo and they couldn't know what to side it. Rugby Player 5/10 - I have no concerns about this minifigure, and the rugby ball it's ok, but the faces look a little odd (both of them). Fox Costume Girl 6/10 - I like this minifigure only for the accessories because I don't like costumed characters. I think the outcome is quite ok. Rainbow Bear 0/10 - This minifigure has no meaning to me. Biker Girl 4/10 - The bike is quite ok, but for the rest, is again what I've already said: a pretty normal city minifigure that doesn't belong to this theme IMHO. Overall 4.5 - One of the worst series, alas. The decision to include so many boring minifigures is a big letdown. At least a third of the minifigures could have easily fit classic city sets and it seems like they did this series something like they just had to. Which is very frustrating for someone loving this theme. In most cases these minifigures do not deserve the price increase that minifigures had since series 17 two years ago. Very few of these would compete with past series superstars like the Elf, the Hazmat guy, the Scarecrow or so on. Long story short: none of these minifigures is really iconic (perhaps... Monkey King being an exception... maybe). I like the bounty hunter and the knight because they are appealing my own tastes, but I easily admit none of those two is quite iconic either. The series overall is underwhelming, I expected better.
  14. So we had a winner! Thanks for playing this game!
  15. There are two shows. When Benioff and Weiss follow the books: it's a books adaptation done quite well and a very great show. When the books were over and Benioff and Weiss invented the story from scratch (basically after who-you-know's death): a crappy show with poor ideas.
  16. Ah, ok... they call that... a pizza... Actually it's called "quattro formaggi" but they're three cheeses + mozzarella. We call mozzarella, stracchino, robiola, crescenza, (but also yoghurt or butter) and so on "Latticini" which is difficult to translate in english. Basically, if casein coagulates, it's a cheese. If it doesn't, it's a "latticino". It's important to mark the difference because people may be allergic to either, both or none, depending. My girlfriend cannot eat any kind of cheese, but can freely drink milk, eat mozzarella and so on. It's quite difficult when we go abroad because we have always to specify that mozzarella, being itself not a cheese, is not amongst the things she cannot eat.
  17. The fact that something has always been done in the wrong way doesn't mean that it cannot be corrected later on. Example: Darh Vader helmet has been a single piece for decades, then they made a two piece, on on the neck one on the head top, so you can re-create the scene in which Luke removes the helmet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appeal_to_tradition
