  1. I would have a look at 1NXTMONSTER's design for this. I haven't used it yet but I will on my next trial truck I think. Here it is: The only thing though is that it has poor steering geometry but it has pretty strong independent suspension. So it is up to you
  2. Is that a black 40t gear? Aren't they really rare?
  3. Nice job! It is hard to make a car of that scale drift, especially with suspension Edit: I didn't see the rc unit, still great though
  4. Looks great! What PF elements does it use?
  5. That would be quite expensive with 9 of the 5x11 panels in orange as they have only ever been in one set- the unimog. However it looks awesome though
  6. It looks like it used only an l motor
  7. Jeez you have a lot if Lego, however compared to Blakbird...
  8. Just got 8070 for $130 including shipping! Not bad but there has been cheaper
  9. Tell me, is it ackermann because each axle has a different steering lock?
  10. The only main difference between nxt an ev3 id the hardware on the brick, in which case ev3 is better. I have an nxt and I would say go for it
  11. Just go to Lego customer service and then click on bricks and peices and go from there. It just depends if it broke while building
  12. When I got the unimog a couple of years ago I forgot to put one of the dbg drive ring gears in the middle. I finished the model and that little gear made the whole steering work. Now I pay attention
  13. Looks great! Those additional weapons would sure pack a punch
  14. The suspension springs are moved backwards:)
  15. A new gear. By the way I don't think you can use a 3 long axle with a stop as it hits the base (under the turntable)
  16. I had the same problem so I just used one of the newer ones from 42009. It worked pretty well and doesn't fall off
  17. It was kind of one of those builds where you assemble it then go holy crap that is the best possible solution :)
  18. Wow it could be an official lego combined set b model!
  19. If you want to go for beams rather than a studded hood, check out how I did mine here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101801#entry2041537
  20. Not even a short video on the suspension?
  21. No land rover defender have ha independent suspension before though right? Apart from that it looks great, obviously the camel edition.
  22. Behind the steering there is an anti wobble link (I don't know the correct term) ;)
  23. Hello everyone here is my latest creation! It is a Land Rover Defender 110 in case you didn't read the title ;) This model was made to help me improve my body modeling for cars and I think it went all right. This is the first model from which I followed a blueprint (roughly) but in the end it turned out to be pretty accurate. The chassis is based on one from RM8's channel, which he has instructions for. This model was a great start, however it had a very poor steering mechanism and weak front axle. I instead used 42000 hubs for steering and replaced the m motor with a servo. I also provided suitable gearing on the servo to make it harder to turn (the original steering moved whenever an obstacle was hit). *(That connector is not meant to be loose)* The body is made in a few sections, all of which can be removed. This is displayed in the video below: And finally a video of it in action: And that is all! For more pictures head over to my Flickr account via the link in the signature or go straight to the album here:https://www.flickr.com/photos/102730499@N03/sets/72157648959411321/ I may be making instructions for the modified chassis but I see how I am going, bye
