I tried to kill Dave, def just PM'd me saying that I failed. No, and are you drunk again? I tried to kill you, but I failed, somehow - I'm assuming one of your scumbuddies blocked me. We're not allowed to post PMs, check the rules. -

Someone's lying here, and it's not me, because I targeted you last night. -
The Munchkin cocked his head a moment. "I...think not. You've definitely constructing a highly experienced team here, and much as I hate to profess it, I would be a weight. And I've taken two trips there before, anyway. I left the Forest to see new sights - I should make the best use of my time here, see as many new sights as possible, not the same ones." The Black Knight cocked his eye, curious. "Interesting - would you mind elaborating further on your viewpoint of the incident?"
-
"Who's left? Not Sir Regulus, I hope..." The Black Knight shrugged. "It was either that, or stay home in the Forest, and raise mushrooms. Not that there's anything wrong with mushrooms, mind you, although I never quite got the taste for them - they're just too, too...too mushroomy. I'd done my years of studying, learned my lessons - I thought I'd go out, and take a look around the world before I'd start spending the rest of my life spreading manure - see what the world could teach me that books and scrolls couldn't. And the Hall was the only place that could give me that opportunity."
-
The Munchkin paused a moment, thoughtfully. "No-o, they didn't. Perhaps I am not acquainted with the entirety of all viewpoints on the subject." "You've quested with Sir Regulus? Perhaps I have been slightly hasty in judgement..." "There's a Munchkin saying - When the world ends, it'll have either been through a Zeigfried, or when a stone breaks a clay bowl.It...loses something in translation." "My apologies."
-
The Munchkin didn't respond, instead he simply dropped the Newspaper with Picture of Lupine in front of her on the table - with the picture of Lupine featured prominently. "You throw them, enemies get sliced up." The Munchkin pulled out his deck, and flipped through it calmly, slowly, running his fingers down the edges of the cards - and suddenly he threw a single one out. With the clink of clay, Karie's water cup fell apart in two pieces, sliced perfectly down the middle. "Try doing that with a sword. And then, try doing it from fifty feet away." "If you mean why do I think he's him, well, we've got very few Necromancers as heroes, so that narrows the numbers down in the first place. There was someone called Althior Emorith on that quest who was a necromancer - check the board if you don't believe me - and there's someone named Althior Emorith written down on your list there. Now, I could be wrong, but the chances of someone having that exact name and being a necromancer - well, I'll be surprised if I'm wrong. If by proof, you mean proof as their betrayal of the Veterans, well, then you must be either newer than I am, or have been on a very, very long quest. Munchkins don't leave our forest en masse for anything, but the elders almost considered sending a delegation to Eubric, it shook the forest so. If you want proof beyond word of ear, I can't give you that, but feel free to ask the Veterans if you don't believe me."
-
"It's all about knowing when to hold them, and when to throw them." "Waaaiiiiit a minute.Ulric Wolfkin. A pompous death-lover. You were part of that party that betrayed the Veterans in that reconnaissance mission a few months back, aren't you?!"
-
"They call me - or rather, I call myself, and no one else does - the Gray Foxer. Lind Whisperer - Black Knight Munchkin, although my skill-sets can also potentially reach to assassin. I've been on two prior Fields jaunts, and can cite both Lady Akrone and Chief Hogan as character witnesses. The revered Alfendi Lupine could attest to my fighting skills, except for the tiny part where I killed him." "Well, you're too manly for my tastes, mame. And they're cards, not knives." OoC: True - until Germ gets back I am rather under-weaponed.
-
You just could have your character find out that he's partially Munchkin. That'd work too.

A big stick that peppers enemies.

Thanks - it looks like one of the Stars from #75 Falling Stars dropped it. I'll need to read through it to see if the "Falling" part has any extra-terrestrial significance. He did! I can't believe I forgot about that.
-
Not always. So far, the only appearance(#122, although from the Space Armor that one character(I forget who) has in his inventory, I wouldn't be surprised if there has been at least one reference besides #122) of aliens was of what were clearly LEGO's Alien Conquest Hypaxxi.
-
"Excuse me one moment..." The Munchkin got up and approached the table where the witch was sitting. "Pardon the interruption, but what what are the prerequisites for an audition?" OoC: If I'm too low leveled, obviously feel free to say so - I was just thinking(the more so since the Quest Board's empty)that the 1/6 Instant Kill chances of a back row assassin could be useful in the Fields. But the level difference is of course significant.

Agreed.

That's not what I'm saying. Obviously if aliens introduced technology to the world it would cause even worse upheaval than if flintlocks were invented. I'm not suggesting that at all. Look at #122 - it was centered around aliens, but they didn't introduce any technology, despite bringing a giant tri-walker with them. It's fully possible to write quests in which aliens drop technology, but it doesn't get passed on to the rest of the world.I've actually got two quests planned that would illustrate this perfectly. One is a ways off, because I was hoping to use it to introduce , but the other one is slated for either my next quest, or the one after it. (It involves similar mechanics to Brickdoctor's Pongcanis quest, and after my showing in #131 so far, I almost certainly need more practice QMing before I try anything too complicated)
-
This. Exactly what I was trying to say. My personal solution, is that we should have more space themed quests. There's no reason why you can't drop a lightning-elemental handcannon that "just happens" to be something small enough to carry in one hand. That way, we'd have advanced technology, but the "source" would be obviously limited.
-
"Thank you, I'd like that very much." The Munchkin pulled out a stool and sat down. "No, just getting back from a trip up Ulysses Mountain."
-
Although it's resulted in some...interesting battles for #131, I actually support having flintlock weapons as being "too advanced."It's actually the same principle as Lind was trying to hint at during parts of #122. Guns are superior weapons to swords - it's just fact. Swords have some advantages, but overall, guns will always win out. If guns - even flintlocks - become a common thing, than our fantasy setting is quickly left behind. That kind of technology shift would completely change the face of Heroica as we know it, and I for one(and Lind) don't want to see that happen.
-
Exactly.
-
I'm afraid even those are too advanced. There was recently a discussion about this, in regards to Quest #131, in which I was originally going to have all of the Western-styled outlaws armed with flintlock pistols. Although the possibility of flintlocks being "invented" ingame someday is a possibility, I believe, that day isn't today.
