  1. It's actually about neither, although the Munchkin backstory factors into it substantially*, since one of the main NPCs is also a Munchkin. Lind won't factor or appear in at any point, only the Munchkin backstory. I was saying that once (the hypothetical) you understands the Munchkin backstory as a whole, you'll understand Lind's actions, as he is a Munchkin, and his actions are a reflection of this. * No problem - it was actually a little bit flattering to be referenced. Of course, being the only current Black Knight kind of helps.
  2. I definitely think that there should be an option(if there isn't) for QMs to give out XP for particularly excellent RP, and if there already is, that they should use it far more often. This is a bit of a crazy idea, but has anyone ever thought of creating a LUG for Heroica? LEGO does offer the LUGBULK program, which would open up the way for some truly impressive set design at below-Bricklink prices. We almost definitely have enough members for it, and we could fill in any empty spots with GoHers. "HeroLUG" It has kind of a nice ring to it. Believe it or not, there is a pattern behind Lind's actions, and good reasons for them. It'll have become a good bit clearer by the end of #122(or at least have a few hints at why), and by the time I finish my trilogy someday...Well, it still won't be explained entirely, but the frame of the puzzle will have been completed.
  3. Which minifig is everyone talking about? The only minifig that I can see that looks vaguely like they might have a Futuron logo on them is the one standing by the food-cart with red pants.
  4. Trans Neon Green chains will be a reality by the later half of 2015:
  5. No argument at all with any of that. I'm just saying, that if we suddenly have a bunch of new heroes, we're going to need a bunch of new quests. Currently, we have about two new quests every month or so, as well as the FOG, with about nine to ten active quests. Even if we have several players who aren't active, or are taking a break, or have left, with the assumption that every quest allows six players(which they don't), that's only sixty-six to seventy-eight players at maximum capacity - and most quests only have slots for three to four. If we change the rules like this, the availability of quests is only going to get worse, not better, and that's going to have a significant impact on the game as a whole. You won't be able to just sign up and hope you're selected anymore. You're going to need to be part of a carefully balanced party, to maximize your chances of being selected. And when everyone's in their own little party, the RP is going to suffer as well. Then, you won't be able to go on that one quest you need to get rep/loot because the rest of your party wants the rep/loot on the other quest. Leaving you with the choice to either leave the party, and sign up for the other one in the vain hopes you're selected(which you aren't, and the party isn't selected for the other quest, so now they're mad at you), or go with the party and miss out on important rep/loot. Maybe I'm just being a doomsayer. If this passes, I hope I am. But I'm afraid I'm not.
  6. I fully see why it seems like a good idea, but I think it should stay the way it is. The whole point of the secondary character is that it is a reward for either long term participation to the game, or hard work helping host it. As it is, the Hall is already over-loaded with heroes. Look at the long list that signs up for every quest, regardless of requirements, level, RP, etc. Unless everyone pitches in to come up with new quests, that's only going to get worse, and filling the hall up with even more heroes, well...I can think I can reasonably say that it's not going to help that situation.
  7. The flute is from this Harry Potter set.
  8. I may actually finally be able to submit mine for Sandy's approval - I've been waiting till my schedule was settled, so I could plan things accordingly. Since it's my first, it's just a simple dungeon-crawl style scenario, but there will be* a couple of nice drops and a medium sized pile of gold to compensate for that. *With approval
  9. Thanks!I had seen someone mention his name as I scrolled down, so I was wondering if that was him. I was almost expecting his element to be life/death, though, with the whole Goth look and all, and he'd bring a character back to life later on in the series...I suppose that would be a bit dark though - even though we did have Zane sacrifice himself...
  10. Apologies for interrupting, but I've been purposely avoiding this thread so as not to read spoilers. Does anyone know who this Elemental Master is or what his element is?
  11. Nearly, but not exactly, according to Bricklink. White with green arms and dark bley hands - it could be used as a 'modern' version of the design. Grey torso with green arms and hands - although it's less likely than the other one, it could be used as sort of a 'armored' suit - although with it being a Town set, probably not.
  12. "Gracias." The Black Knight tossed the tired farmhand two gold. "Barely even a pittance, but perhaps it will buy a carrot for your horse - well, at least, it should cover half a carrot."
  13. EDIT: Never mind, I'll do as CMP suggested.
  14. I think a Beserker could carry it, since it's a barbarian class that also allows allows the use of a longsword through the combination with the knight class, but not being able to carry a shield negates most of the usefulness...
  15. For starters, you need to add at least a draft of battle rolls, even if it's very rough. Change "from" to "by", unless the hero is supposed to be part of the abyss itself. How it makes them more vulnerable. I like this one - like a permanent Shackles of War. More definition - stats, numbers. I see what you're trying to do, but it's too vague. Under this definition, an Elf would count as uncivilized, since they often live in tribes, even though they are a highly civilized race. Define "guard". Define "fatigued".
  16. Arrgh...I've never seen the movie, but I know I've seen that guy before... EDIT: And I just looked it up, and turns out I did see parts of it, and I even half-guessed what it was, except I thought they were released in the '90s, not the '80s...
  17. You can't help that your skills are 'on fire'.
  18. Maybe it's a sub-orbital vessel using Borg technology? Project: Arcturus was capable of space-flight, perhaps this is the next evolution?
  19. I meant it figuratively.
  20. Beautiful melding of sets and MOCing techniques!
  21. The Black Knight shook his head as he casually shoved Statler aside, and talked towards the unconscious corpse of a gnome. "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle ~ Sun Hu¿. If you can't even survive an unarmored fist-fight, you are extremely unlikely to survive at anything ~ Every shivering wretch in the hovels." Proposed Battle Order: Purpearl vs. Statler Lind vs. Statler OoC: Whatever happens, I'm all up for auto-rolling in that order until the battle's over, even in the unlikely event Lind is KO'd.
  22. Something from FarScape? It resembles their make-up styles.
  23. How about Thraex, Murmillo, Hoplomachus, Secutor, or Retiarius? I had a suggestion about how the class could be acquired. Perhaps you would need a cast-net, like a retiarius would carry, which would fill your Shield slot?
  24. If a team of enough skilled people could be assembled, I see no reason why a game couldn't in theory be made. After the Universe went offline, there were multiple attempts to create a LU style game, several of which got quite a distance before falling apart - and they were being made by KFOLs and TFOLs. A team made of AFOLs would presumably have a better chance at creating a finished game, especially with resources like Unity, and Blender(especially now that there is a working LDraw -> Blender converter). I've never watched anything Scooby Doo related, but I would like to remind everyone about the brief non-canon Insectoids crossover.
