That glorious moment when you decide to mod your Protector of Ice's arms, you remember that in 2014 you bought Jaw Beast and that that set contained the shortest bone piece in transparent light blue. It just looks so good with elbows matching the correct colour scheme now it's literally a mini Kopaka, thus making it my favourite Protector set along with Korgot.

Keep an eye on this russian website, it belongs to a toy shop and they listed on the day before yesterday all the 2016 winter sets for BIONICLE. It should be a matter of very few days before they put on the images too. (jeez, does Mother Russia really like that much BIONICLE? I knew about HF, but it'd be great if they continued the trend )

Chill out man, if you read carefully what I wrote you'll understand that I was actually agreeing with you. I find this separation stupid too: it's always Star Wars, it's always LEGO, so no concrete reason to banish the CCBS sets in a different section of the forum.

Looks like brick fanatics can't really stand LEGO action figures.

Wouldn't reviving a year old thread considered necroposting?

I guess it's more of a matter about how few masks we currently have to create "good guys". If the Toa are about to receive new and radically different masks we may give to Aanchir's input an even better placement: new masks for the heroes, recolours of the old ones to honour them and make the community even more united (no pun intended, or maybe yes- that would make sense if 2016 is really about unity). The recolours are of course intended to be worn by the inhabitants of Okoto. Also, in 2001 we had McToran wearing Toa masks: that didn't make those kanohi any less special. Darth Vader's helmet is one thing, a Hau a completely (and less unique) one. completely different*, derp

My favourite Toa has recently become Onua. Imposing, bulky, best weapons when used as scavenging tools, mask with wonderful details, colour scheme effective. As for the protectors a tie between Korgot and Ekimu, both the pinnacle in different ways of the protector build. The skull I liked the most was Grinder. Evil, menacing, with great weapons and the most cohesive color scheme.

As a female, how does the existence of Roodaka make you feel? She's literally a walking stereotype, a femme fatale with heels and imposing breast.

In the action figures section? I doubt there are more than three. But I guess we're going off topic, so I'll cut it.

Further, small proof of this: in this forum we're all males. Each one of us. As they say where I come from, this is a sausage fest.

All this talk about Umarak will make all of us terribly disappointed when leaks will happen. As a betrayed master once said, "I've got a bad feeling about this".

Ekimu is Mata Nui, Takanuva and Arthaka all rolled up in a single character. This clearly means we'll so none of them in G2, at least not as we used to know them.

Rediscoverd "Inspired by BIONICLE" Combiners
TwistLaw replied to Transparency for Effect's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Amazing discovery. Chapeau! -
Same here, small town near Milan. I went to the local version of Toys R Us the day before yesterday, Saturday the 6th, and they had only MMvsSG. If the rest of the squad arrives on Friday I may stand the wait.

Your words made me realise I suffer from a "First World child" syndrome. While for me not buying every single set is a choice, for tons of families is the rule. LEGO sets are indeed expensive toys, and buying them is a luxury not for everyone. Thanks.
-
I understand your way of thinking, but I guess it's really a matter of "personal beliefs" at this point. For me offering extremely similar figures may not be an incentive for the average costumer, who wants to avoid buying something he more or less already has. But alas I have no piece of paper proving my knowledge of marketing, therefore if LEGO think it's right it must be the right thing.

To be fair in 2010 constraction had 6 other sets in the form of BIONICLE Stars. But I get what you mean, nonetheless.

And that's a problem CCBS, reusing much more pieces than the original BIONICLE did, suffers the most. If you ask me I'd take CCBS over the old system any day of the year (at least this one is almost impossible to break), but that doesn't mean this is not one of the many small things that bugs me a lot. As I said constraction is not like System, and the constant reusing of pieces is much harder to hide.

I don't know if a couple of books is a fair trade in exchange for a TV show, but as they say 'something is better than nothing". But it would sadden me to see even less sets than this year and no media apart from books and another 1 minute cartoon created to push BIONICLE. It wouldn't mean a bright future for the series. Fingers crossed for an outstanding 2016.

During HF's run I bought a grand total of 6 sets from 2012 onwards, so I can't really say anything about older sets. Onua's knees are like a 6-7 by now.
-
What do you mean by cheaper? The introduction of CCBS happened on that year, being quite costly.

Do you really think we've seen everything that next year's BIONICLE has to offer? In 2011, HF's second year, we got much more sets.

I agree 99% with you, but as I said friction may still be a problem. My Onua's knees are already somewhat loose after literally five times I've played with him :/
-
CCBS loses friction in a heartbeat. They're both immature systems while we wait for the perfect one that will put action figures on the same plane as bricks.
