  1. I thought about HoG steering, but you might be right. Also, why there isn't a removable HoG steering..?
  2. Wow..so it's indeed bright light yellow. Maybe the Mercedes will be purple/teal? From this one pic it doesn't look bad. But sharper and more photos will decide its fate.. :D
  3. Wow, looks good and huge! I think it can't be deattached from the stand.
  4. You're right. Maybe that's why TLG differentiates the themes themselves not only in system (studded/Technic) but also in 'modernity' of the cars.
  5. For me it's conspicuous Technic's licensed sets represent as latest versions of vehicles as possible. Whereas Icons represent cars from (long) past eras, so my bet is that this McLaren will be the yet-to-be-unveiled one. Also, if TLG is aware of MOCs, that doesn't stop them (in some cases sadly) to bring out the same model (i.e. Countach).
  6. I didn't mean specifically cars by 4500-5000 pieces, but bigger (flagship) sets in general. And, as we could see, the price didn't really stopped them from releasing 42146 :D
  7. I think it will be the new P1. I hope the 4000 pieces mark will be passed in 2026, but in 2028 at the least. What bugs me is why Technic can't make models with 4500-5000 parts. Not that I could afford it, but it seems the designers are way too limited compared to other themes.
  8. About the colour, I have hopes that the P1 will turn out to be not bright light orange, but purple instead. I know, they won't bring in this shade of orange just for a GWP, but seeing previous huge sets' GWPs (e.g. Avengers' Tower) there are contrasts in colour pairings, so as to stand out a bit from the main attraction.
  9. There is something I don't get. On one hand, it can't be the turntable for the car, because it won't bear the weight. On the other hand, it looks over-engineered for a simple logo-turning stand. So I think there's some other purpose in the background, maybe a stand for the car's removable engine or gearbox? It would be great to have some photos of the inside or the last page, if there's any hint or picture.
  10. For me it looks real. Some previous GWPs have this box layout, so I think it's legit. About the colour, it looks the P1 will be flame yellow, as the two rings are a different yellow than the other "regular" yellow parts beside them, and the ribbon on the BI is also speaking for itself. I hoped the McLaren to be in purple, but there's hope the G Wagen will be.. Also, it's quite interesting for a Technic GWP, but welcome to be sure.
  11. Isn't that the same caliber as in other themes' magazines, where a figure or side build is provided? So it will have an other code(name), eventually
  12. That was only a small one. The substantially larger was 13 years ago... and the 8455 was 8 years before that. So they aren't that generous :( I really hope so, and not with just some combined sets and 1x3 anniversary beam, but with at least 3-4 proper homages.
  13. I have that feeling, too. Frankly, I can't imagine why Technic is struggling alltogether. Seeing other themes' sets, some are evolving functionally, but mostly visually (shaping, greebling, colouring, etc.), so feels like Technic can't get that much of it.
  14. The only thing missing from this year is a "one-piece", big construction machine with plenty of functions (at least 4-5, not counting steering and drivetrain)
  15. Well, I wouldn't worry about numbering for about 12-13 years, and even when they reach the "end", they can always pick another starting point. Also, there are some missing spots ( e.g. 42012-42019) to be filled.
  16. That's quite cool and also saddening to see a non-Technic set having a better functionality (along with the Ornithopter) than some Technic set. Also, what bothers me more instead of the orange wave selector is the lack of L and XL linear actuators in recent years (last one was in 2021 and likely we won't get this year). I mean, it's great to have pneumatic models every year, but a set with one of these LAs still wanted for me.
  17. There's nothing to apologize for, don't worry :) It's either an unexpected one (namely the missing number 42183), or, going by recent years, it's the Mercedes G Wagon. As I say going by recent years I mean the flagship doesn't always have the biggest part count (although close to it), but it's surely not a 1:8 Supercar (see 2016, 2018, etc.).
  18. Yes, we are expecting one, but technically it won't be the flagship.
  19. If 42183 isn't this year's flagship model, I think we won't get any, and the only set with the highest piece number and price (not counting the 1:8 McLaren) is the G Wagon. So maybe next year we get a proper (and relatively affordable, so 350-400€) flagship set.
  20. A purple exterior with this nougat interior would look nice Although, a new color in an existing mold doesn't neccesarily mean the introduction to Technic, sadly (see botanical sets, late Bionicle/early Hero Factory)
  21. Times change..sadly not in a good way. Maybe Volvo changed, too.
