  1. What bugs me is they can recolor a significantly interesting piece (shock absorber) in a small set, but they can't recolor a simple gear in a 200$ bike... Life isn't simple, I know.
  2. I'm one of those few people who like these lifestyle photos. I usually build the same way (having parts laying in one or two pile(s)), but I haven't used any container during builds in my life. This way I can lengthen the building process and save a bit of space.
  3. I was thinking about the same. But, funnily enough, they could do it at Icons to have printed and wider tires one year later, but not here...
  4. I've been thinking about the dump truck, and some ideas came to my mind. It can also look like 42114.
  5. I can hardly imagine having pullback in a dump truck, but pneumatics are possible.
  6. I can imagine this dump truck in the scale of 8415 and look of 42043. Of course without the crane
  7. I really like these little Technic sets, polybags and magazine builds alike. They are great sparks for kids.
  8. I think the former is true. It doesn't really matters what licensed set TLG release (in quality), people will buy it. If they slap a GWP to it, even more. As I see, today's kids are more interested in video games and social media than physical toys.
  9. I suppose 2 is too much in a sense that they could use 1 hub and 4 motors (1 at the front, 1 for steering and two at the back) instead. Pepperridge Farm remembers... The funny thing is, 42145 is/was a semi-flagship set, has more pieces, electronics and license, and is still just 209.99$.. I know, piece count doesn't really matters, and maybe the F1 cars will introduce some new panels and tires (for the rear, at last!), but still.. Speaking of the cars themselves, I really hope they introduce wider tires and maybe prints on them.. if they got the F1 license, I think there shouldn't be more excuses.
  10. I think the Ferrari will have some electronics if priced the same as the RB.
  11. Yes, it seems, but it's such an absurd move from TLG... Why can't they make it in matching scale...?
  12. Well, I hoped something in the scale of Dom's Charger, not the Bolide.. And I don't even know TLG realise their scale difference
  13. From a point of view, you're right. I wasn't clear on what counts as getting smaller. 42175 is a big set as a whole. But it's still made up of smaller, separate models. The only big construction machine I can think of that's still available (and consists of one model) is 42146. The others are either under 200 pcs, or 42175.
  14. It's saddening that more and more construction machine sets become smaller and smaller..
  15. I think you're right. Only one set I can remember of that had exactly 100 set and wasn't a polybag is 42001. It wasn't that complex.. If the piece number is true, it's possible that the set uses big pieces or is in a truly tiny scale.
  16. It's always nice to see non-licensed sets in the lineup.. I guess 42203 is some kind of non-vehicle thing (like the orrery with specialized pieces), and the other is the car transporter scaled car.
  17. If the do JCB DIGatron with the JCB license... and have a small backhoe as a January set... does that mean.. we will finally... HAVE A PROPER BACKHOE LOADER IN THE SUMMER?!? Also, I have a feeling 42202 will be a 1:5 motorbike to complement the 2 year gap between the 1:8 cars.
  18. I hope that the Creator line's 3in1 builds will remain forever, and not become only main model sets
  19. In Hungary the 2nd issue with the heavy lift helicopter will be released on the 27th September. I thought the release date would be the same worldwide.
  20. It reminds me a bit of 8650. Also, I don't really get why the wheels protrude from the tires..
  21. I would welcome any functional and not-just-car F1 set (i.e. Oh_Hi_Mao suggested) in 2025, but this year we had 3. So I really don't know what they could bring us apart from the different teams' liveries.
  22. I think there is a way. If their portfolio consists of 23-24 sets, and some cars are built on the same scheme, one of them can include a mini LA. Or one of them can have a removable rear or body.
  23. I have to agree with others about the tremendous amount of cars. Of course, if they sell well, they must make more, but what saddens me the most is the lack of knob-controlled functions. I mean, take a look at the Peugeot car. It SHOULD have at least 2 mini LAs to open the frunk and the hood. But no, you have to open them up manually... I really hope we get just one set with a mini LA, or better, a normal/XL one. Pneumatics are good, too, we'll surely get one or two, but they can't replace LAs.
  24. You know, I'm something of a predicter myself.. :D I would've chosen purple instead, but this colour looks good, too.
