  1. That an "oar" ( people commonly use spears for oars if they don't own the actual oar piece)
  2. Wow this is an impressive build! Those walls are very formidable, and well defended too, with all those guards and a balista. I love how there is so much activity going on, from busy vendor and public executions to visiting travlers, departing legions, and important discussions going on in one build. Shadowmere certainly is an intresting place! :)
  3. Nice build! This is a great fortune tellers booth, I love the way it's so kaphalin, not just a stereotypical wooden booth with curtains :)
  4. Nice! Good idea to show the sea next to your inland sea tower. Would that be a pirate in the canoe, because the guards don't seem to be alarmed.
  5. Wow, somebody found a good mine. Look at all those gems! I think you should have added a bodyguard to make it more accurate. A seller with goods this valueable would have hired a bodyguard to watch over his stall while he interacted with the customers, to prevevent theivery. This was actually a common practice in some markets during the Middle Ages.
  6. Hahahaha nice. I like the idea of gorillas selling banale
  7. Thanks! I already had that built, and then I decided to use it for this( it was origional lay going to be te standard for the crime boss, but it fit so well into the wizards base) Thank! :)
  8. Welcome! I really like your idea of having an explorer from the university describe your lands and your sigfig!
  9. Nice castle! Looks very sturdy, and is a very clean build!
  10. Choose a reasonable chunk of land on the map that isn't already my claimed and use a photo editor to draw the borders of your small kingdom on the map.
  11. Woah, wht a huge and magnificent creature. I really like the head and neck, it looks very sinister :)
  12. Hahaha! This is too funny... I wonder how those soldiers plan to explain this to Lord Damaximus :)
  13. Well yeah, all the guilds are very versitile but I'm not going to make the other guilds sound appealing when I trying to recruit him to Avalonia
  14. yeah, it is pretty "cool"
  15. sorry I meant topics( the book II ( enter guild name) sign up and discussion also that is probably where you should ask this question instead of making a new topic.
  16. We'll , ya know Nocturnus is sort of dark and is definitely the most intimidating guild of all. Avalonia , on the other hand, is very friendly towards new members. Just check our forum( once you get past the trash talk) you will see how we offer receive new members and help them improve. In Nocturnus you will probably receive a skull on a plate, along with horrid tasting pumpkin pie and nasty blood wine. Back to the original question Nocturnus needs black, but in Avalonia you can use a wide variety of colors such as green, brown, dark tan mixed with other colors, and light and dark gray, as well as blue for sea ports and white for some areas on the Mitguardian border.
  17. Nice build! I like the way the transparent plates aid the transition from stark white to harsh black. I wonder what the undead a perspective is on afterlife? I mean, they are in the equivalent of hell.
  18. So vicious and deadly looking! Those teeth are just frightening! it's posing over the lava just makes it seem all the more terrifying! Great entry!
  19. Is that a street the knight and soldier are standing on? because if it is I would definitely want to know where it is and if my sigfig could "visit" the area for a little while( accompanied by troops casually carrying pickaxes and shovels)
  20. Wow I never thought about building a bathroom, but it is clearly of great importance. I mean here in Avalonia we have plenty of trees to use, but down in Kaphalin? They have nothing but a few rocks to go behind with miles of flat sandy land all around. Talk about lack of privacy! I also like the clever fountain design :)
  21. Thanks! Yeah the overhead shot we pretty bad. My phone automatically increases the brightness so you can see the dark bits, but the already well lit bits look bad as a result. It's hard to make it look very good when its a black build. Thanks! Yeah, that my favorite theme when I was younger so I have a lot of parts from it. I put it there so there wasn't black behind the standard. Thanks! :) Did mean the wizards head? If so it is from Ogel from Alpha Team. The wraiths heads are Voldemort/Quirrel from the old harry potter theme and the other wraith's head is from the New Guardians of the Galaxy theme. :) Yeah I'm actually pretty fair at photo editing when I'm using software I know. I used photo editing apps from my phone, since I forgot that Word on the computer would have worked. Thanks! I got all of my old minifigures and parts from a few cousins who were done with their legos( they both only had mostly minifigures left and not too too much else). I knew I had done it before! I just couldn't remember where! also thanks :)
  22. I really like your heroes and the fact that you included heros and minor heroes in addition to your troops. Also, what a great presentation!
  23. sinister meeting 1 by lorddan413, on Flickr In an dark, isolated tower somewhere along the Nocturnian-Mitgardian border... An evil wizard uses his scrying orb to spy on an event occurring in Avalonia. At his side are two powerful men, one the leader of a powerful crime ring that operates in Avalonia( the one with the horns on his helmes and and bull shield), the other a Black Spire lieutenant( the one with two ninja swords). they are intently gazing at the images appearing in the orb and conversing with each other... sinister meeting 2 by lorddan413, on Flickr Spire lieutenant: we cannot allow them to continue! crime lord: I agree, having a fort fight in the middle of our route could be troublesome. Spire: Troublesome!!!! Troublesome!!!! No it would not be troublesome, it would be disasterous!!!! Those stolen arms, armor and other goods are extreemly important to the black spire!! crime boss: yes, I understand. However what do you expect me to do about it. spire: I expect you to deal with them!!!! crime boss: Of course you do! Look here, you pay me to approperiate these goods from our supplier and smuggle them through empty Avalonian countryside to the sea! You can expect me to deal with minor threats and such, but you can't expect me to risk the lives and saftey of my men to engage in combat with a large group of well trained knights!! spire: I will offer you twenty percent more gold. crime boss: ( instantly) Done! My men will take down these foolish knights! (the image in the scrying orb changes to the crime lord's men) Sinister meeting 4 by lorddan413, on Flickr Spire: And just to make sure those bumbling fools you call troops succeed I will accompany you with a small squad of Black Spire troops, along with my personal bodyguards. ( the image on the scrying orb flashes to the Black Spire troops) Sinister meeting 3 by lorddan413, on Flickr Spire: ( turning to the wizard) Wizard, I will pay you a large sum of gold if you will accompany us on this mission. Your skills would come in handy... Wizard: I accept. I will relish the challenge of defeating the mage. His " pet" will look great mounted on my wall and his head will hand outside my tower as a reminder of my power... spire: speaking of that wolf, wasn't that one of our projects?! Wizard: yes. Those orcs you hired utterly failed when it came time to defend the fortress against attackers. They all fell to that single mage! ( the lieutenant and crime boss leave) Wizard: Wraiths, bring me my staff... Sinister meeting 5 by lorddan413, on Flickr Additional pics: Sinister meeting 6 by lorddan413, on Flickr Sinister meeting 7 by lorddan413, on Flickr about this moc: this was a small build to introduce all my evil figs, establish the story, and tease at my next moc( which was finished but then I decided to add more so I could use it as my task 5) also sorry about the really bad photo editing. all I wanted to do was make the smaller picture a circle and tinted blue( to fit inside the scrying orb) but no photo editor would do that!!!!!!!!( It was probably really easy but I couldn't figure it out) c&c welcome
  24. wow, that's a lot of detail in such a small space. Good job!
  25. for task 5 is it important to have living area, for the sigfig, or could it be strictly military?
