REVIEW: Creator 5770 Lighthouse Island
Vindicare replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I just got done building this. It was a fun build, but a few things puzzled me. Like, on the crank, why did they use yellow(they don't have white?). It looks odd. Also, why the 1x1 yellow with hole...it serves no purpose a regular 1x1 could've. As you mentioned, the ladder leaves something to be desired, but given the space inside, I get it. Overall, I'm happy with this set, but for my city the boathouse would be better suited. I like the minifigure and am glad we didn't get a bland one like the Log Cabin and Hillside House sets. TheBrickster, did you also have an extra grille piece in black? I double checked in the instructions and only had the 2 on his little BBQ... -
Wow, for an unfinished MOC, it looks really good. Judging by your other MOCs though, it was going to be a lot bigger and better. Hopefully you end up finishing this soon.

@Vincent_Kessells, where did you find white baseplates and utensil sets? To the best of my knowledge, they make neither. I bought 5770 Lighthouse Island.

WOW! That's a crazy exchange rate!? Finally the video came out. Now we just need the set to come out. This is going to be a long next few days...
-
Neat way of showing off the new trooper, but shouldn't Yoda or another Jedi be doing the introduction instead of Vader?
-
Looks pretty cool, I like the color scheme. I think it looks a little strange in walker mode with the wings down like that. Too bad you couldn't make it so they fold into each other and fold back towards the rear so it will still have sleekness.

In the US as well, California.

With that many minifigs, that would have to be a much bigger piece count set, I think. Only the more expensive and bigger sets have that many figs. Now, you did a nice job on the LDD. It's very much as it should be, and very accurate, well done.

Something that could be done that would make it easier to find people would be to have a regional section of the forum. Like on an RC car forum I'm a part of has regional(by state, it's USA based). But, you could make it by country. For US, you could include sub forums for states. Id be interested to know if there's anyone around me as well.

This is towards the top of my list! I too am a bit overwhelmed with the red roof/white wall combo. But, it's not going to deter me from buying this. Also, another bland minifigures?! Come on Lego.

I think it's a tad early to be asking when the supposed next Modular is due to come out. Seeing as this isn't out yet, even though it's next week. They don't release Modulars very often, so I'd window the next release is Q4 or early '12.

Or the surfer hair in brown. Also, the boy needs a new head since he's not wearing glasses in the picture.

Is there really confirmation of a May 10th release? It's not on S@H yet, unlike the Maersk train, with availability saying April 1st, and more others. Why are so many people suggesting animals like owls, goats, and chickens were included in the pet shop. What pet shop sells owls? I'm not even too sure about goats/chickens...none that I've been to do...

Weird. I just checked LEGO.com and it wasn't there, just the first wave and the keychains..

So...this is just another teaser pic?! Damn you!

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
Vindicare replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
We need more pictures, any updates? -
I'm curious about the box on top of the Lightning McQueen pic; last one. Looks to be Star Wars(looks like lightsabres in the holder on the lower right). And it appears to be Special Edition...yellow vertical stripe on right side of box.

!!! Until I saw the pic for the pet shop modular, this set is on the top of my list. I love this set and can't wait to get it to add with the MMV. So many new parts! I believe all the civilians in the set are new. And the return of pitchfork...new animals! What's not to like about this set.
-
Nice! I like the fact that there's two instead of one, it'll break up the monotony of the street line of fat buildings. Only bad part about me buying this ASAP is that I won't be able to build it at first, because I'm in the process of moving. That means unassembling Lego... At least I'll own it though!

I'm selling sets 7237 Police station and 7892 Hospital. The minifigures are not with either sets I believe. Nor are the instructions, which, of course can be found online. I'm asking $50 for the 2 and am located in the US.

Bought the last 2 Atlantis sets: 7985 City of Atlantis and 7984 Deep Sea Raider

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Vindicare replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I kind of stopped after series 2. Now I just buy any ones that would fit well into my city, or ones I really like. -
I paid a bit over retail for most of my forest men and ninja sets. I actually got a few ninja set still sealed, but I did open them.

I rhino that's what they call them anyways.. Like that new Yoda set from the front page. I was thinking of a neat little challenge for our members, especially the expert MOCers we have here. Recreate a CMF in a bigger sack, brick built.

Not sure if this has been confirmed or not, but I just saw and bought the 2 new Atlantis sets at TRU here in the States.
