  1. I think you should build it, check it out. It's actually not too bad of a building. But, the cafe would also fit well down close to the beach, much like the bait shop you have.
  2. I know it's irrelevant to the topic, but, would you post a pic of the Log Cabin in your city? I'd like to see how well it fits in with the others.
  3. I buy about every two weeks at the moment, as new sets slowly make they're way to TRU shelves. I spend a few hours on here. Check eBay about once a week. I don't sort my Lego, they go in bags as the set after I build and admire it for a day or so.
  4. Nice city you've got there. I like the airplane taking off, never thought of that, oddly enough. How many battle droids are on that shelf?!
  5. Really? I ordered mine this morning at about 8am. Oh man! 4-7 days and it'll be in my possession.
  6. Anyone in the US found 3648 Police Chase? Is it even available here? I haven't seen it yet...
  7. I've got about 12 hours till I can order it. I think I'm gonna cry after I make that call, sitting in the window waiting for it.
  8. Yellow, if you're set on putting the lighthouse in, I would recommend you buy 2 sets then. Because I just got through building the alternate boathouse and I think it would fit well on that beach of yours by the pier.
  9. I brought up Kit Fisto because I checked out your flickr and saw a big pile of keychains.
  10. On the note of the Village Mill Raid, lucky you! Yeah, I noticed the POtC sets were crazy expensive!
  11. I just finished the boathouse. I think it's better than the pictures portray.
  12. Probably too big, but on 10184 Town Plans gas station has a curved glass piece. Not sure what it's number is though...
  13. Congrats all! Just in time for the Pet Shops release . I'd buy all 3 of those.
  14. Well, I did some investigating and looked at the other instructions and the technic pieces in yellow are not necessary. They're buried under a roof in one of the other builds, and used inside on another. So, my original query as to them being yellow instead of white for the lighthouse tower still stands.
  15. Ya know, I'd have to say no. Only because whenever you see a wind turbine(for me, at least) you typically see them in bunches on a hill out in a field on the highway. So, with that thinking, I don't see them fitting in a downtown/residential area. So, I'm not too sure on the matter...
  16. If Jamie is a part of this site, or is even aware of it. Then I would bet that he won't be running out of any new and great building techniques anytime soon, thanks to all the great MOC modular buildings we have on this site.
  17. Very good start you have there. I like the layout of the streets and train tracks. But, I think there's a little too much green. I like the addition of the green plates, but they're too close to the streets. Maybe it's just cause that area isn't built yet with buildings and such, maybe if you backed off the plates 3 or 4 studs. It could create a shoulder area to the streets. Nonetheless, very nice start and I look forward to checking out the progress.
  18. I'm so jealous of the room you have to build your city. I need to quit looking at this thread. Very cool city, I like the layout of buildings, looks good and realistic. Where'd you move the wind turbine to? I think it looked a little strange there in the middle of town. I know it's hard to figure out where to put some things and make them look realistic and aesthetic at the same time.
  19. I have to agree with him. While it would look more complete and realistic, because all hockey rinks have roofs. But, that would clearly hide the main focus of the MOC. This is a very accurate MOC, well done. Are you going to put in penalty boxes and the teams boxes too?
  20. Yes! That's an awesome little tent there. I can not wait for the final product, it's going to be epic.
  21. Alas, I can't help you, but I too am looking for your second torso. He's a toughie! Good luck. *end of useless, non helpful post *
  22. Ah, good point. I hadn't even thought of that. Well, I'll have to check into that more.
  23. Damn you and your teaser pics! you a big fan of Kit Fisto?
  24. Yeah, I did. I'm glad they didn't overlap pieces. That's why I put them on, otherwise I would've passed. Although, I can't really tell if they enhance the light coming out of the windows..or I suppose they're meaning is to refract the light out on the water, hence the 2x2 slope brick..
  25. Why are they're so many complaints on the height? Not all buildings are the exact same height, same with width, which is nice to see they've finally brought out smaller buildings.
