I'm not too sure what were getting out of this....but, I was at TRU today and a tock shelves was a Lego rep. We got to talking, one thing that saddened me was he was unaware of Hillside House. That may or may not mean were getting it, who's to say. Another thing he mentioned was a upcoming(August) is a coffee house. Interested, I asked what line? Creator? He says, no, the one with the grocer. I'm thinking...hmm, another Modular so soon? So I say, Green Grocer? The same as Cafe Corner, Grand Emporium, those ones? He said yes, although it wasn't a set in stone kind of yes. Rather a I'm 99% sure kind of yes. Here's to hoping we get a coffee shop, regardless of what theme it is.

MOC: Rossville Vision Clinic and Artist's Apartment
Vindicare replied to Still Raindrop's topic in LEGO Town
Apparently he's not too concentrated...he has green paint on his brush!? that's a very nice building. I see shades of the Pet Shop with some accessories, nice touch. I like the facade with the big eye staring back at you. -
I gotta admit. I gave a little LOL at this one, nice job. Most of the others were/are good, but some have fallen flat. But, who am I to say, I couldn't do any better

I too would like to see said sets be made. I missed out on the first Shrieking Shack. Also, they have a very basic start to Grimmauld Place now. Going by the movie, that is. Using the townhouse from the new Pet Shop as a base, change colors, front facade and wallah(?), Grimmauld Place. I'm also looking forward to this Knight Bus. I was in the ol' dark ages when it was released.

I haven't read this entire thread and excuse me if it's been said, has this been spotted in the US yet?

What may be better and cheaper than brick building streets, would be to get the street baseplates(if they're available in Singapore). Definitely check out 'The Yellow Brick's town layout.
-
I was going to get them, still may. But, they seem priced more than usual, much like Star Wars. I guess. Ecause it's a licensed theme. I'm wondering, how are these sets in the whole price per piece ratio? I'm no good with math, so that's why I'm asking.

Aw well, I was close. I just wasn't sure if it was Max or not. I kinda like him.
-
Wow JCC1004, I commend you on sticking to one theme, that's hard just 99% of us to do... Why is that though? Are you doing so because funds, in which I completely understand. But there are so many great sets, and even just god ones you're missing out now. Obviously, you know what's out there, and you gotta do what you gotta do.

Well, rumor has it, next year is a post office. So, it likely will be continuing.

While I love 8404, I would somewhat lean to 7637. As long as you can find a good deal on it. While i don't know how much shelf life 8404 has. But, you can still easily purchase it. Of course, it also depends on your needs of either set. Are you wanting 8404 to build up your city? Or do you just want it for the collecting factor. If you're looking to expand your city and make it more diverse, I'd go with 7637. In all reality though, I'd get both.

I'd like to know how Windu killed Bane and his cohorts. Then took off in his speeder...

Can't remember exactly, but I think it's Max with a white torso with a piece of birthday cake on it. Red sleeves and pants. Just nit certain on if it's Max, or a different head/hair combo.
-
I like that idea, especially with the CMFs. I used to collect ALL kinds of things from gum ball machines.
-
If I remember, that torso belongs to the queen in the Kingdoms Advent Calendar.

I've only built the townhouse so far, but it was a pretty fun build. They had some neat techniques. I like the 2 1x2 windows up top that open up to that little balcony. One thing I don't like is that the small windows that are half circle on the top have no glass for them. There's just the one on the townhouse, but there's 3 on the Pet Shop. It'll get pretty cold in that room with 3 open windows. I noticed the trash can is new, to me anyways. But, seeing as it's a modular, it clearly isn't. Also, those flower pieces that are seen on the top of the townhouse are also new to me. I first got them in this years Kingdoms sets. I have, however been seeing them in MOCs created last year...

.... I don't even know what to say. This is remarkable. All the feather pieces...wow. This is dedinitely one of the greatest MOC to ever grace the pages of this forum. Kudos to you, amazing job. The details inside and out are outstanding.

Waiting eagerly at the window. It better come today, it's been a week

Would you buy this set for $20 (beware..other bricks)
Vindicare replied to bricklayer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
For $20 why not. Even if it turns out you don't like it, at least you didn't spend upwards of $200. Although, why is this person selling it at a huge loss? May want to ask that before you commit. -
I came out mine in thanks to Cafe Corner and Market Street. I would sometimes in cases of boredom go to TRU or Targets toy aisle and just window shop everything. I don't remember what I went on Lego.com to look at, but I'm glad I did.

I wish I would've stuck to just city, it would make things a lot easier. But, I collect about 8 themes at the moment.
-
Nothing here either, not expecting today obviously... Hopefully tomorrow. I ordered mine as soon as S@H opened Tuesday.
-
For the windsail, you said you had trouble with it staying in place or something to that effect... I was looking at mine today and noticed a little slot on the top part of the mast for the top of the sail to sit in and keep it up and sturdy.

I bought the Marina the other day, it's a pretty decent set with 3 new torsos(2 of which are are the same). Although, I'm not sure why the lifeguard is in pants and a sweatshirt?(the same from the Small Car-white with blue hood/pocket). That could be easily remedied with the much more appropriate s2 lifeguard.
