I don't get why the word pink is getting thrown around in this thread so much. After getting the catalog, I got a much better look at these. On one hand, the new colors are nowhere near being pink, they introduced some really great colors. The majority of each set isn't even pink... I guess cause I'm a guy, but I really don't see what all the fuss is about... It's not like they have pink dream houses and Corvettes...

I thought he was the same one as in the Advent Calendar. Upon further investigation, he is not. I remember a thread debating whether his medallion is a dragon, lion, or grapes... Maybe it was early pictures of this set we were talking about.

I live in Northern California. The weather has been pretty steady, minus some triple digit days in summer... Now you have me worried about my modulars...

Damn, why the long wait?(if you don't mind elaborating. If not, I totally get it) I'd say a good slamming should be in order. Personally, I think a homemade gift is better than store bought. Again, good luck and hoping you don't go crazy in these next 122 days.

Yeah...I gotta agree here.while we don't know exactly what the sign said. I don't think it would have said "not all sets". That just doesn't make sense. It would, like my local TRU, and by the sounds of it, others too, it lists what theme(s) are excluded.

The one part of these I think is a bit of an eyesore, is the part above the door on the CC. It's much too big for the size of the building. But, I don't know an alternate way of doing it.

True. The Black Falcon bits are nice. Big plus is you get 3 shields, which for people like me who were dumb dumb kids and sold all their childhood LEGO. Sorry, sorry. I'm ok, really. It would've been nice to have a squire for the BF with that black open faced helm that ends in a point, I loved that one! I'm really excited nonetheless to get this and add it to my castle. Anyone who has both, let's see some different configurations of the castle and joust wall together, pretty please.

Looking over the instructions, if I were to piece this out in bricklink, there's some pieces one could leave out to soften the blow to the wallet. Like the bat and spider obviously aren't necessary to the build. The 1x1 cylinders with fire and the 1x1 cones aren't necessary. It's also nice to have a piece call out in the instructions.

I'm constantly worrying about my collection. It's currently sitting in a storage locker, in heavy duty ziploc bags, in plastic tubs. I'm worried about the stickers on the pieces for one thing. And, my modulars are in there put together. Anyone know if the weather changes in those storage units will damage anything? Like warp the modulars or anything? Please EB, ease my mind!?!

This is looking great! I really have no advise, you're off to a great start. I like all the new details. The centaurs. The tent and boats. I can't even fathom how big this is going to be if/when you get this done. As big as it is now, I can only imagine how big it'll be with the village added on. There's, what...10 shops(at least) in Hogsmeade?

Looks like you got some pieces from 5887, Dino Defense HQ there. And a PQ(?) quad, nice. If I were a MOCer, I'd be all over these. They're great deals.

I love that show/manga! You did a great job on recreating them. I'd love to have those(and more).

I'm not really into the theme either, aside from the dragon sets. The vehicles just look too corny for me. I do like the new figs, I'll probably pick up the booster packs. Samurai X is cool looking. Funny, how they're portraying her as a 'mysterious' person, when it's obvious it's Nya(you can see eyelashes). I look forward to the new dragon set. That 2 headed snake guy is pretty cool, too.

It is a bit of a let down in the minifigure department, as far as new goes. I believe the princess is the only new one? I differ though, I think it will look ok with the castle. It won't be like HP did, but It could work.

I believe it was HP, but I read something like that before on here... It sounds like a scripted answer to keep people. The answer alone is dumb, look at the first two sentences...it's sold out because they took them down...I don't know, I certainly hope they aren't gone.

I never knew about this either, that's cool. It definitely is pricey on eBay...wow. You could definitely turn that into something else.
