Way to bring it back from the depths. Rightfully so, I never saw this. I would love for this to come back as well. When I came out of my dark ages, I bought all these sets again. What a great theme.

Im not really a big fan, I do like it and collect some sets, however. Just look at how well SW has done and its longevity and its pretty clear that no theme will ever top it. I don't know if you've ever been to(I haven't, BTW) or have seen on TV any SW convention, but the fans are rabid(in a good way ). I hope LotR does well, because I will get some, mainly for the figs.

Wow, this is incredible. The outside rock wall is awesome in itself. Then the inside is just fantastic. Your MOD, although it looks more MOC to me, you did a really good job of capturing the details. The rotating steps to the entrance is cool. I can't wait to see the rest!

Then the feminists would have another excuse to hate on this theme. "THOSE PEOPLE AT LEGO! THOSE PERVERTS! OMG!!!1!!!! THEY ARE ALL PEDOPHILES AT LEGO! Blah blah blah, bitch, bitch, bitch." I was at TRU today. As I walked into the store just a few feet away, was a nice cardboard display with all the sets. But, there was none at the normal LEGO aisle. Actually, they were picked pretty clean, so who knows.

I don't mind them, but I won't be buying the sets.

I agree with you, there were a lot of vehicles. But, I really like the helicopter, it's fun to swoosh. They tend to do this with City though, vehicles one wave, locations in the next. Maybe we'll get more locales in the next wave.*fingers crossed*.

For your first MOC, you did a great job. The landscape is really well done. I like the rock formation. Some advice, I'd give more details to the river. Make it look as though it's moving. There's some great examples on here, too. Personally, I can't help you with it.

New Lego 10223 Kingdoms Joust Exclusive
Vindicare replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
If they added all that stuff you listed, we'd be seeing a price tag of $200+, easy. There's always something to add to any set out there, or something they could've done this way and that. If they made the perfect set, people would be complaining about how expensive it is. I'm happy with what we got for that price. -
I get it, you're a big fan of LoTR, but really? You can't even see the details of the sets. So far, I see nothing that compares to MVR. And, forget SW? Seriously. There's not a chance that's going to happen. No theme will overtake SW.

Definitely the 2 star fighters. Since it's for a younger kid who likes playability, what would be better? A good and a bad ship. Space chases aplenty. Plus, the Tri-Fighter is a pretty fun build.

"LEGO Licensed" Forum description
Vindicare replied to Blondie-Wan's topic in Forum Information and Help
Welllllll, going with said basic reasoning, shouldn't PoP also go in the Disney category? It is, after all, based on the movie, which Disney did. If I remember, doesn't it have Disney on the box. I don't mind the current format, I never paid that close attention to it, TBH. Just sayin'. Edit: that's what I get for not reading the whole thread. -
Hmm...what's a Christmas Cracker? I can tell by the posts that they aren't edible...

That was the best review I've read in a long time. Hilarious! It was very informative and you covered the set well in pictures. I definitely hope to see more reviews like this in the future!

I just watched the summer wave video and saw a turquoise bike.

This. Well said, Hinkley, that's kind of what I was trying to get across. That little girls aren't throwing a fit in the girls aisle because they don't have alien fighting toys. Also, I was curious as to what's coming up next for this line. There's a plane set, a boat set, a really great looking stable set, looks like summer wave focuses quite a bit on horses. But, I'm sure the femisits will find something more to bitch about.

I think we, and this feminists are seriously over thinking the sets and this theme. Does the target audience really give a damn that they don't have "manly" occupations? Except that 4 year old "free thinker" feminists daughter. I don't think some six year old girl is going to think, "where is ____?! What a sexist, stupid toy!" then throw it on the ground and stomp it with all the anger they can muster.

This is brilliant! The attention to detail on the inside is great. I love the rustic exterior, too. The bushes with the 1x1rounds...awesome! Everything about this is just great. Well done!

I saw it, too. Not to difficult, TBH. The lightning draws your eyes, then you see Vader and Palpatine. Funny, as I'm typing this, that's the part I'm at watching the movie right now.

Nice review for a nice set. Not cool seeing Gunray... That seems to be an ongoing problem with them. Hopefully they'll get it sorted out soon and the next batch will be fixed. This is on my list for sure.

Nice. Something really personal like that, I don't see her forgetting you. So, with the no talk policy, do you know how she feels about you? I did something kind of similar to you. I painted a picture of the cover of the album that her favorite song ever was on and gave it to her before she left for college. Last time I talked to her, she had it hanging on her wall. Edit: double bad post for me... 1313

That's great! Congratulations.

That there is. If you read through the "Future HP sets" thread, there really is a lot of good ideas, albeit some have way too many figs. I bet that people are just filling in the gaps, like you mentioned above. HP went away for a few years once before. Maybe it'll be back, sooner rather than later, like next winter wave. come on LEGO! We know you look here.

Ok. So, you're waiting for her to graduate...and then you'll give her the rose and confess your love. Followed by a good wall slamming.

I'll echo what Ceroknight said. While they both are neat sets, and are great display models, I personally think the mini modulars are the better set. The VW does have some great details, however. Also, if you base your decision on price. On one hand, the modulars are better because you'd only be spending about $40 of your own money. Whereas, you would be spending about $70 on the VW.
