  1. I have the same problem. I guess that piece got into all the sets.
  2. Ooh! That is my number one favorite donut! To quote the great Mr. Simpson, "Mmmm, donuts..." *gurgle gurgle*
  3. What's with all the feminist talk from you, Hikaro? I didn't read the Bussinessweek article, so if they brought it up, then ok. But, I didn't read it from anyones posts. I never really got a good look at this line, until tonight. Personally, I won't be buying these for my collection, but I do like some of the sets as a whole. The figs are the worst part to me, they won't integrate very well into other themes, as mentioned before. Much like the pieces will. Now, if you asked 10 target audience girls what their favorite color is, I would be willing to bet everything I own that 9 of them would say pink. Who cares? It's just another color. It's stupid the emphasis people put on colors. There's nothing wrong with associating colors with people. Look at street gangs, or sports teams, even cops associate colors. People who own red cars tend to speed more. Does that mean people who drive the speed limit and drive a red car should go complaining to the police chief? No, because it doesn't affect them... Anywho, that's waaaaay off topic. Is anyone(not here, in general), complaining because Barbie comes in a pink box and not an array of colors? It's just the way marketing is.
  4. Once I got back into LEGO more I just googled, "Lego forum" looked at a few, lurked here for a month or so, then decided to join. This is the most active I've been on any forum. I check back here at least 3 times a day and am on here for an hour, minimum. That's awesome that we have 20K members!
  5. No matter what someone does, there is ALWAYS going to be people complaining... You could feed 1 million peole, and someone would complain about it. People these days just like to bitch. The girls complaining about this were probably fine(assuming they have a daughter) with the nurse putting a pink hat or booties on her. "NO! I want red booties! Just because I have a daughter doesn't mean she likes pink!"
  6. Now your MOCs can have some good looking dinos in it to beef up those already great looking MOCs.
  7. I wouldn't want two of relatively the same theme on the shelves. If that were so, we may not have gotten Dino next year, or AC this year.
  8. Agreed. If you can afford it, get it. You'll have more than enough time to get the new sets, but getting the GG at that price will be a rarity.
  9. Another great model, Angeli. You always make such menacing looking buildings. This one does not disappoint. I love your color schemes and the pictures you take only add to the scary feeling of the MOC. Nice job.
  10. This belongs in Licensed Themes, in the LOtR thread. Can't people read the topic title, Kingdoms. Word. This is sad news.
  11. I'm not tired of Licensed sets, I really enjoy them. Not just for the minifigs either. I'm a huge movie goer, so having sets with likenesses of people I see on the big screen are great. I also don't think they lack in design either. Sure they may be a bit restrictive as far as what the designers could make it look like, but that doesn't mean the build or finished model is lacking anything a non-licensed set would have. Oh, and you tell em, fallen.
  12. Damn...I really was hoping this day wouldn't come. Now I have to spend more money on Lego...
  13. I like it. Warm and cozy looking inside. I also like the slanted window. The "logs" look very good as well.
  14. TRU is pretty much my only option. I don't have a LEGO store very close, and I absolutely HATE waiting for shipping, unless I have to. So, I bite the bullet and pay the evil markup. I guess you could look at it like shipping costs...
  15. Anyone else notice a color difference with the yellow pieces? I've noticed it on 5885 & 5884. Example, on 5885, the front slopes below the missile pods are a different shade than the 1x6 that sits between them... On 5884, the 1 x6 slopes on either side of the hood plate are different, as well.
  16. I also remember seeing these a good year ago or more. But, they are awesome. I'd like to see some full color tats.
  17. Wow...this is really incredible. By far, the best house here! Jaw dropping, so much so I don't even know what to say anymore...
  18. Very nice. You did a great job on the facade. But, those sailors better quit ogling that girl and go apprehend the Goblin!
  19. Another one bites the dust! You've done it again! I really like the head, very menacing. The whole thing definitely has a lot of bad@ss-ery!
  20. Well, no Superhero sets at my local TRU, yet.
  21. 5885 Triceratops Trapper & 30008(FREE)
  22. Very cool! What a great facade, all the details. The dark grey corners of the building. The trim. Everything.
  23. Gotta agree with this. Some seem to forget the target audience. This one, I believe, is an 8-14(?). Still, it is a Childs toy, not an adult collectible(by definition). Kids aren't going to obsess over the fact that an X-Wing can't actually fit under the platform, or the positioning of the TaunTaun cage. I'm not a SW expert like most on here, so maybe I'm just overlooking it, but I think it's a pretty neat play set.
  24. I see they didn't solve the pesky "pink" disease that was running rampant in the Kingdoms line... (if this has already been brought up, my apologies, I didn't read the comments. )
  25. He's aware of that thread, as he mentioned in his post. I got you.
