Nice. You captured the desired effect pretty well here. I like the overall look of it. The water is done nicely and the beach is well done. I like how you gave it some texture as opposed to just laying down one layer of tan flats. The little grassy area has some good color variation in it. Well done!

Great start so far. Very in depth review and pictures. I'm eager to get this set. While I'm not overly excited about the figs, it's never bad to get more foot soldiers. As you said, mire civilians is never bad either. I just wish the BK was a completely unique fig. I'm pretty sure the princess is the daughter of the King/Queen, despite wearing green. In movies, they didn't color coordinate with their heraldymuch either, but wore many colors. I await the rest of your review and hopefully you can give us what we want, a picture of the castle with the wall from this.

Ah ha! I saw that in TCW and wasn't sure what it was, but I liked it. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle!

I'm pretty excited about this release as I too don't have a Y-Wing, or an X-Wing or TIE Fighter, for that matter. I can't wait to add these to my collection!

Just when I thought the Batcave was top of the charts, you come at us with this! The play features are brilliant. I love how the bookshelf comes apart to reveal the elevator(that works!). Not to mention the light brick. The interior details are top notch as well. With her computer a kills, maybe she hacked the Batcave, that's why she's looking at the same things on her screen? Great job, and I really can't wait for part 3/4!

I'd go with 10197. It's a great set with a nice interior(the first modular to have it, IIRC). Has a great vintage fire engine. And, it even has the ever elusive female minifigure. 10219 is also a nice set with a good color scheme and at first(the engine) a fun build. It starts to get repetitive after that.

Haha! Excellent use of those pieces. Is the Death Egg, "fully operational"? Batman better look out. Maybe he should make Lando his new sidekick.

Well, seeing as the theme is called Dino, it makes sense that the focal point of the sets are going to be dinos. It would be a whole other theme if the dinos weren't included. On the brick built vs hunk o' plastic, I do agree with you, but I think the desired effect is better this way. I really enjoyed building the angler fish(Atlantis) and the scorpion(Pharaohs Quest).

Everything is amazing. Your builds are stunning. On the building, do you have a plan set for the walls? Or do you just start stacking? Edit: Just read the story. It was great. I loved that you had all those dio's to go along with it. They really brought it to life.

This. While I don't have any stone hard facts that SW is in fact bigger than LotR, I would bet my collection on it. Just look at this forum. SW has it's own entire section witness some serious die hard fans who know more about SW than anybody should. (sorry SW buffs ) I guess we'll have to wait and see if/how many new EBers we get due to LotR theme. Maybe we'll even see it get it's own section...although I doubt it. Jack Bricker, where in that post did he say that LotR wouldn't last long? Cause I don't see it..

I'm jealous of the Flying Ninja Fortress. I got one off eBay(advertised as 100%) that didn't have the frame for the rotating wall. I am, however able to build it with that part just missing a wall.

I would totally get the book for him! As long as they manage to get those ghastly robes right.

Some really fantastic builds, those fish were incredible. So many 1x1s... I need to get to an event this year. Great pictures, too. That shark...wow. The white city is an awesome idea, it really does look cool.

What a great idea. It gives us a chance to see again those great MOCs that have been done, and some we missed(like that awesome western town(!)).

This is the first thing I thought of when I saw they all had their own bags. I'm gonna try(my first attempt at it ).

I'm just ok with this set. I don't have any of these. I kind off the CMF train after Series 2. I don't have any of these figs, but I still have to say, "WTF?!" as to the choosing. As everyone else pretty much said, the mummy/space villain... I'm ok with fisherman(for the beard, really). I'm happy to see the Elf & Gorilla Suit Guy.

I guess it's different where I live. I was in TRU yesterday and with the exception of Ninjago, bit sets and boosters, they were almost sold out of everything else. I'm talking a few sets of each of the current theme. I don't mind some Ninjago sets, but as a whole, and the storyline, I think is really dumb. I have the dragon sets and will get the new dragon as well. Maybe the Destinys Bounty as well. I definitely like the figs better in this wave, both Ninja and snakes.

I'm not sure I follow how Pharaohs Quest was hidden away on S@H? It was in the same place as every other theme. Also, with the name "Dino" why wouldn't it be based on the dino?I disagree though, as they are only a small part of the set, just a big draw of the theme.
