That's a "cool" idea. And, dedication to the shot! Now...if someone would do this with a Han Solo and a dark soda(carbonite) Although soda may hurt the plastic...maybe water with some food coloring would suffice.

Every time I see pictures from a convention it's makes me crazy! I want to go to one so bad! The stuff at these conventions are beyond impressive. Great photos, by the way.

From Death Star II to Minifig - a Journey through Scale
Vindicare replied to mortesv's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Wow, what a great idea! Thanks to your pictures, I can really see the scale of the ships clearer. It really is crazy to think how BIG some of these ships would be if real. SSD... -
First off, poor keychain Yoda... Jawa looks pretty good, but why does the smoke have a face? Might want to turn that around. I think you did a really good job, but the hood just irks me for some reason. The shape just looks weird, but I don't know how you'd fix it. It's hard to get a "flowing" motion out of hard plastic, I think you got the cloak right and it falls well at his feet. Wouldn't the body be better if you used smooth sided bricks instead of those "log" bricks, or whatever they're called. Unless it was all you had as far as brown, I understand.

He's being greedy asking for 2, I was going to just ask for one. I really want to get my hands on one of these.

At the store I bought mine at(Glendale, CA) the big cup was about $15. I don't know about the smaller one, I'd guess about half that. I'm sure the price is pretty regular across the board. I have a question about just buying a full box of pieces. If they don't have the piece in store, would they order it for you? I know this may vary by store/employee...

That is some rather crappy news, but on the brighter side of things, at least you still have your LEGO. Your parents didn't sell, or worse-give, them away. You still have a chance! Show your parents this site and tell them the age of some of us. FYI, I'm 30.

Pretty cool. If this is the same one, this was posted here awhile ago(a year or better). Although, I don't remember the flag being there...

In regards to western MOCs, the tan color of the GE would be nice, but, I'm not sure about the green windows. For simple off the shelf first purchase would definitely be GE. Overall set would be Pet Shop. 16 wide buildings, unseen in Modulars(technically MS isn't a Modluar). The buildings colors are nice, maybe not so much for western. IF you can swing it, I would certainly get both, eventually. The Modulars are great sets that you won't regret buying after the fact.

For those who get the Nat Geo channel.

Yeah...I still watched it though. It's fun seeing the ins and outs of our beloved brick. Seeing the whole design process of the new dog. -

Well, I'd say you've got a great start. I like the way the buildings are positioned. Except for maybe the houses, but given the space restrictions, it works.

Not the same episode though. The info says it's "NEW" with the year 2012. I guess we'll find out tonight if it is in fact new. -
Mom & Pop stores - higher prices worth it?
Vindicare replied to gratefulnat's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would love to have a local toy shop that sold LEGO. It's nice to get in a relationship with the owners. Like Hrw-Amen said, he gets 10% off his purchases. Not a bad deal. Little perks like that is just good karma for helping the little guys out. Also, like someone else mentioned, some smaller stores would/could have older sets and exclusives. I'd give anything to buy exclusives at a shop and not have to wait that excruciating week to get it. -
I regret getting rid of my childhood LEGO. That's a good 10 years worth(late 80's to mid 90's-roughly). Classic castles, Ninja, Western, pretty much all the Space available, Monorails included. City, Adventurers. All kinds.

IDK about this, 2 years seems like plenty of time to buy a set. Each modular has had that about that amount of shelf life. Of course, that doesn't mean much if you came out of your Dark Age in '09 when was about the time when CC went off the market. Well, that's a bit of a moot point, only because nothing would get retired in that case. There's always going to be somebody to come out of their own LEGO coma, the unfortunate side effect to that is, you miss out on sets.

You should put the plate of cherries. Say they're objects that the students use to practice the charms on.

For general size, I'd be inclined to say yes. It's looks like a decent amount of pieces, if you're a MOCer, you can never have enough pieces. I'm not familiar with your currency, so hopefully, someone from your country will chime in. I say, if you can afford it well enough, go for it.

How much did you spend on Lego in 2011?
Vindicare replied to Legacy Man's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, this year is starting off bad, or good, depends on your perspective. I haven't spent any money on LEGO so far. -
Star Wars Custom Mini Figures

Those are some awesome Mandos! They could be called "Color" Guard. Whats up with CW Padme and her face? Did I miss something and she's part cat? -
MOC: Joint Security Area - North/South Korea
Vindicare replied to Dreamweb's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It really is a tragedy, you really enlightened me on the border. I had no idea the day to day. Bit of a single MOC, but it gets the job done. -
What a great sculpture! Looks very official. However the gun looks to be a bit big, but that suitcase is just awesome! Very "real"istic minifig.

VIP Exclusive 850458 LEGO® Minifigures set
Vindicare replied to Thego's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Granted, I don't know the numbers myself, but what amount of VIPs are kids? Remember, VIP members were emailed, not LEGO customers, in general. -
What a great selection of buildings. It seems to be a bit cramped, though. Great job with your town, look forward to see its growth.

Although I don't have FB(Gasp!), maybe this already happened, IDK. Someone should make an anti petition petition against these nut jobs. Put the facts that they chose to ignore on so the uninformed public knows the whole story instead of just that side of it.
