London Olympics & Paralympics 2012... and LEGO
Vindicare replied to caperberry's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Ooh! Jealous! Those are some good looking figs. -
Well, that's what you do then. If you want to sort, but want to keep it theme specific, just buy some of the smaller drawer units that people have posted here. That way, you could have them nicely organized and separated like you like. You could organize them in like bricks. Example, all 1x4 bricks in a box, don't worry about separating by color(unless you happen to have enough of one color to warrant it's own drawer). I'd definitely give this thread another once over, there is a lot of great ideas here.

Well, so far, so good. You are truly the king of 8x16 buildings. I always like seeing the details and bits you put inside your buildings.

Wow, look at you go. 7674 V-19 Torrent is a cool ship, even if you only get 1 clone. it is quite swooshable, and the wing mechanism is pretty neat. 8128 Cad Banes Speeder, I didn't see that on the list. Cad Bane is the best...er, second best bounty hunter around. Then, it has the fairly exclusive Senate Commandoes. The speeder isn't too shabby either.

This set is definitely worth a second look. Despite having Loki, the set is good. The truck is actually quite cool. I don't think the pictures/box art do it justice. While theres no 'exclusive' fig that makes it worth having, threes an Ironman variant.

For the most part, theres no need to worry about mixing pieces. If you have a 1x6 from City and one from Space, there's no way to tell which came from which. I would, however, have a space for theme specific items. Like car parts, space parts, Star Wars, what have you.

Eh, I don't know. They definitely work in a system with releases, though. They may all be theories, but I've read about City, the first release is vehicles, next release has buildings, like the Hospital and (maybe) the Parking Garage. I believe in SW, its kind of the same, vehicles first, then playsets second. So, I think they may very well have a pattern.

4)1 10)2 28)2 38)2 This was a great contest, so many great entries, it was tough choosing.

This is good news. It doesn't appear that were getting anything new this year, but there's hope that we will be seeing more Dino. Hopefully as early as next year.

It's a city in a bridge. I like all the different parts of a village all in the pillars. The different facades, the windmill. The red 'stone' of the bridge is cool and gives it a nice pop. It's very busy, but a good, organized type of busy.

Very cool scene! Those little scout troopers are just too cute. The speeder bikes are nice. The slight differences you made make them look better than the originals. I like your fronts better than the official triangles. But, as usual, the star(s) of the show are your brilliantly designed figs. So simple, yet so detailed.

Si MOCs, nothing like a puck to the face! I love watching hockey, I use to play. I enjoy painting(post impression age stuff), reading, started cooking recently.

I'm afraid I'm one of those buyers. I have a Target that's close to the TRU, but the selection pales in comparison. I don't have a LEGO store within about a 2 hour drive... And I hate waiting for stuff from S@H . So, I bite the bullet and shop at TRU. I'm flawed...

I use what comes in the sets: light posts in the Modulars. Street and signal lights from City. There's great ideas here for other bits, however. The newsstand, the different sidewalk techniques.

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display

Looks like he's wondering what the hold up is... -
On looks alone, since I have neither, I'd go with 9494 Anakins JSF. I like the new Ani better and Obi Wan toupee is just so cool. The rest of him isn't bad either. And, the addition of the platforms gives it more play value...not that any of us here play with them.

Wow, a very nice update, mutley! Look at all those Shadow ARFs. I see 3 Commander Wolfe's there, do you have 3 7694? -
Wow! I think I've already got a glimpse into what those pieces are going to be used for...(droideka pic) I can't believe you're going back again?!

"The Dark Ages" - How long were you away from Lego?
Vindicare replied to Duck's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Heres what you do. Take a good sized cup or a few zip lock bags that you can fit in your pockets and slowly fill up with pieces every time you visit. Or, take a backpack and make it quick and easy. slowly and surely you'll have the majority of your LEGO back, as long as your mom doesn't bother to pay too much attention to them. -
I can't remember the layout of your town...but I would get the Grand Emporium. Especially if you have other Modulars. You can always get the Mini Modulars after GE easier. $80 is easier to save than $150 Well, if you're a VIP member(if you're not, sign up now! ) Then, id recommend this course of action. Buy the Death Star first, then you can use those points(if you get any...can't remember the conversion rate) then you could get some $$ off the Imperial Shuttle. Although, now that I think about it, you might need 500 points to get any money...if so, I still say get the Shuttle because you like it greater than the Death Star.

Mirror Mirror. Quite a funny movie. Julia Roberts and Nathan Lane were funny. As were the dwarves. It had a decent sword fight, and even a 006 Agent, Trevelyan.

That may not be her head. That is a Toy Fair picture, after all. -
EB Star Wars Forum Blog Interview: Clone O' Patra
Vindicare replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Another fun interview. Love the pictures. Better look out for Ginny... Oh, I'm with everyone else, do the review. We need a new Cloney review, they're second to none. -
Hmm...when I saw it, I thought of a mid action shield. Like, it's starting to appear after being turned on. Whatever it's supposed to be, I can't wait to see this!

Since nobody mentioned yet, the TC-14 promo is the 4/5th. Going on the 3rd wouldn't do you much good. Now, onto the question at hand. I'd would without a doubt get the set that interests you more. That would be, as you said, the Imperial Shuttle. Getting a set with $$ in your mind 9 out of ten times isn't really worth it.
