  1. Ah-mazing! Amazing castle, amazing armies. Wow. Great job, that castle is well built. The inner structures are good looking and the splash of yellow make it pop. The towers on either side of the entryways are great. Good use of the triceratops. The orcs on horseback just don't look right.
  2. Ha. You're both right actually. I meant the one L@go posted. But also remembered the one you posted, natesroom(which is a good splash as well). I have a picture saved put not of the bottle in the water, so I couldn't remember the whole set. I just got the two mushed together.
  3. Bravisimo! Another great and entertaining review. Maybe the designer was thinking of a Huey when making the helicopter? While they do have doors, most pictures I've seen of them are open. I really hooe we see more X-Men next year.
  4. Neither is the Catwoman/Batgirl mash at the bottom, too. They're good looking figs, they did a good job though.
  5. I can't remember for the life of me who made it...I believe it was for a contest on another website. It was of a sorcerer of some sort that was on a rock face and had a few flame pieces coming out of his staff. He was surrounded by a sea of trans clear 1x1 rounds with a blue base and layers of 1x2 under. I think he was summoning something. In the set of pictures it shows him with water makes a splash(which I saved), but I seem to remember something splashing up out of the water. I'll do some more digging to see if I can remember it. Maybe someone else can work off my hints...
  6. I'd definitely like the bus stop and driveway ideas. I know they used to have driveways with City and Paradisa sets. I know they wouldn't work with Creator sets quite as well than City because it would somewhat limit the building possibilities because of the stud less part. I'd like to see Creator quality houses coming out of the City line with a driveway. And of course we could benefit from a bus stop plate. 7641 and 8404 both have bus stops in them(while the latter is more of a station than a stop).
  7. To the seven who answered "No" to opening the packets is going too far? I'd like to hear why you think it's ok.
  8. While I'm sure $800 is a tad high, your overall statement is pretty much a done deal. Saving $30 will pale in comparison to having to pay, at least double what the FB is now.
  9. Very impressive! I love the outer wall housing the city within. The castle itself is a nice design and well built. All the goings on in the city are well done and not too much or too little.
  10. I said yes, but not for army builders. I know with S2 I never found a Spartan and Pharaoh. I could imagine a kid would feel pretty bad going home with a handful of these and hoping on the car ride that he got "XX", only to not get one. Sure, it could simply be chance that he didn't, but it could also be because of the army builders of the world. Does nobody here remember buying trading cards, opening them up and getting excited seeing that suer rare 'foil' card...Did none of you buy Trash Bag Bunch...hell...quarter machines at a grocery store... It's just fun for kids to buy mystery bags and hoping they get the cool stuff.
  11. Yes! It takes a good hard stare to really see the bricks in the buildings. The landscape is well done as well. I really want to get back to NY to see Ground Zero, thank you for giving me a taste. It really is beautiful. The quality of our builders here amazes me all the time.
  12. Some of these are really cool, some are just...weird. Some of my favorites are the cargo van and the tractor. Very cool. The dragster is cool!
  13. Thanks for the comparison. You can definitely see the common areas of the two builds. Only minor changes being made.
  14. Yeah, I too thought it was a bit too clean. Great job with the room, nonetheless. All the furniture is well done and some clever piece usage.I suppose this isn't his bedroom though...I don't think I want to see it, that may be the dirty one.
  15. There's those trees again! I love those trees. The whole park gives a nice tranquil, quiet place(except those hooligans with their loud music ). The little bridge leading to the gazebo is nice. All the people are quite pleasing doing necessary park activities. Great job. Made me a little sad though.I was just thinking about my grandpas today and the memories of the lake.
  16. Not bad at all. I like the definite old feel look it has, except for the control levers. They look too advanced for it's time. I'm not too sure what else could be used that wouldn't be too bulky...was thinking at first the small, four pronged wheel, but you'd run into the issue... For lack of a better result, it looks fine, but something more archaic would be better. Like the spears instead of cannons/guns.
  17. Wow, those teaser shots are awesome!
  18. We've all done it. I know I have. I went pretty crazy a few times, a lot of little eBay purchases are the worst, they add up WAY too quick.
  19. Well, the collector in me certainly hopes they're real. My wallet, on the other hand, hopes they're not. Its going to be pretty pricey to get a set I'm sure.
  20. What a rollecoaster ride that post was! I was excited seeing the pictures of your house there(awesome!). Then I got teary eyed(like this ) at seeing that last picture. It's good to know that everything is fine now. I gist can't wait to see this in it's completion, it's going to be epic.
  21. Another good review. The pictures are as usual great and really show the set well. To kind of explain why Deadpool is here, which you may have already read the thread. But The Joker1 made a MOC explaining the scenario, from the comics. When I first saw pictures of these, I thought about using the CMF boxer gloves in blue and have the blades on top. The gloves may be a bit bulky, but being blue gloves, they'd be pretty accurate. I suppose they could've refined the glove shape a bit. I also would've preferred his mask to he hairpiece. Oh, thanks to you too Deadpool. I know you really did all the work. Plus...I don't want to die.
  22. Overreacting a bit? I'm sure it's safe to continue buying CMFs, and minifigs in general. I don't really have an opinion on this new vs old, because the horse never was very sought after to me since being out of my DA. I guess you could say I'm indifferent. The new horse looks just fine, but so did the old one.
  23. That is awesome! Not with LEGO, but I did the ol' alternate address thing, I coordinated with my friend about shipping it to his house and the plan of attack to bring it to my house without my parents knowledge.
  24. RJH, I'll more than likely take you up on your offer(or someone else willing) in case you're too backed up with orders. Depending on how much a set will cost, including shipping. I'd like all nine, shipping to California...we'll see.
  25. Oh my! Please tell me this is just a teaser for a 'Battle of Geonosis' MOC?!
