Seriously. You sir, are a saint.

Awesome contest and a huge congratulations to all the winners! Well deserved.

Amen! SPARK(fred, which I haven't heard of before this stinkpot either) acts like it's a big shock that girls like pink and getting their and nails done. To LegoMyMamma- you go girl! They want a female mayor...but 10224 Town Hall and swap the heads of the mayor with the secretary.

With all those lights, your citizens wouldn't ever know when it's nighttime.

Supported! Great looking Marines, not huge fan of the aliens allies, but they're ok. How about some color variations among the Marines?

Insert Coin aims to build Super Mario Level 1-1 with LEGO
Vindicare replied to Big Cam's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I hope he's able to do this. This will be the epicest of the epics! It would be insane if he involved PF and made Mario scroll down the level and jump periodically. -
Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
Vindicare replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
We've asked, begged and pleaded for an overall shot of the build so far. He's being a big meanie and denying us. Those teaser pics will have to tide you(and everyone else) over till he's done. Which better be soon! -

"The Dark Ages" - How long were you away from Lego?
Vindicare replied to Duck's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think Dark Ages will still happen to today's kids. Of course the reasons will vary. I'm sure social pressure, from parents, friends, people at school, will play a part in it(too ooh for toys) -
At least they got the printing straight this time...

I concur! Who needs burners when you have repulsers on your hands.

Nice shots Hobbestimus, but what's up with Wonder Woman?
-
This is a fantastic idea. They could put a cardboard insert picture of the set and shrink wrap it. I don't know if it would cost TLG more or less, but I'd be willing to pay a bit more for a storage container.
-
I recommend keeping and building it, it's a great set. But, you can get a hefty ransom for it. You should be able to get $800+\-. it's a bit foggy though...how you're happy accident has been in your wardrobe for just two months when this has been retired for a few years. Either way, good luck with the sale.

For those who want to keep sets together when taken apart, I found a pretty good set of drawers. Our garage is stuffed with all kinds of things, one thing my mom noticed is an 6 drawer unit that has small, medium, and large drawers in the cabinet. Similar to Sterilite, but thanks to Google, I believe it's called "Iris Mini Chest". While I don't know how they compare to Sterilite-price wise-, it's a great cabinet.

Numbered bags in sets- yay or nay?
Vindicare replied to Lego Otaku's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I like the numbered bags. My building area isn't that big. It makes it a lot easier to spread out. I dont care much fir the hunt[of pieces]. With Modulars, it doesn't really help though. Take 10224 Town Hall, the bags were numbered, sure(1 & 2), but there was 12+ bags for each?! Why didn't they make it into 3 or 4 sections... -
I'm jealous now. Before the pictures I just thought, "Ok, that's cool". But now that I see that large container... I would love to have those. The medium/small would be very useful as well.
-
My dad does t mind them so much, unlike my mom... I always get the line, "You have enough blah blah blah..." to which I respond, the problem is they always make new stuff! My mom is definitely annoyed by it. Whenever I get a ride from either one, my mom drops me off at the door, my dad goes in with me. Nuff' said.

Collectable Minifigures: Feeling the Packets
Vindicare replied to Jedi master Brick's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That is true. The beauty of the Internet is you can pretty much say whatever you please and get away with it. Hell, those 7 "no" could very well just be trolls... Well put! That's definitely up to chance on what you get. -
Very cool! Pretty ingenious creation there. The ball storage and the holder that keep it still, brilliant! The interchangeability is great too. Supported! I'd totally buy this.
-
I like it. I've never really been a fan of Architecture series enough to buy one. This one may change that. I was(and still am) considering the Robie House, but yikes, so expensive.
-
It had to have back surgery...oh dear! Great looking guitar. FLCL is a strange, yet fun anime. Cool axe!
-
Nice addition, the tire machine is pretty accurate. Cool sign as well.

Wow, an immense build. It certainly looks promising. One thing that stuck out to me. On section 5, the road split with all the light posts...I think you could take every other one out and it would look better. It's a bit of an overload and unrealistic to have so many, in my opinion. I want to see how you build the slanted streets.

This is a lovely MOC. The details are great, the interior is spread out nicely. The staircase is simple, yet nice. The exterior is upscale looking and elegant. The roof is especially nice.
