Lego Batman
-
I think what the problem is, is simply ignorance. I imagine most people don't see LEGO for what it is today, but just as a toy. When I first bought Imperial Flagship, I had it in a predominant place so everyone would see it. I had numerous people shocked, even among closer inspection, that it was LEGO. I just don't think a lot of people realize it's popularity as well. Oh, and I'm 35 and still hot & heavy in my love affair.

Nice update. As for what to put in the gap, what about a small bus stop? Like the one from 8404 Public Transport(just the white section- not the whole platform).

I'm in north, San Francisco area. Luckily there's one 10 minutes from me. You probably have better luck as those stores are more readily availabl down south.

71212 Emmet's Excavator 71221 Wizard of Oz 71203 Portal 2 All from the 99 cents store. What a crazy fad this is.

That is ingenious! Using your VIP card as a billboard. You never lose it that way too.

Oh, I'm aware of the power of the almighty dollar...I just thought, without knowing him personally, that he wouldn't stoop to such a low(and I mean LOW) just for money. Especially to play poop...

That's exactly what this movie is, along with a cash grab. I can't wait to see this movie bomb. How they convinced Stewart to do this...is beyond me.

Found the Lego Batman activity book with Tartan Batman this morning at TRU.

Very cool. I like the outdoor area in the middle. Great addition for the bar.

Wow, this is amazing...and well worth the wait. The bakery looks fantastic with the turret in the middle. The coffee shop looks awesome as well as a full 32....scratch that, its much larger. 64.

Ha, I was trying to picture that exact documentary when I responded. So, I went with the automated...as that's the majority of the factory. Great show.

At least it'll be easy to determine which bag you're missing, since you don't have the baby's body. As to your question, I'm fairly certain they're not packed by human hands. Once they're weighed, they go in boxes.

I agree. I can't get enough of it either. It's still sitting on the table I built it on. Partly because I haven't yet made room for it in town...but mostly because I'm not done staring at it.

Wow. I really love the entry. The detail work on the floor is fantastic as well.

What do you do with your LEGO Boxes
Vindicare replied to TheLunabrick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I used to keep them, flattened. Once they started piling up too much I just decided to get rid of them. I have a few roaming around, the Ideas sets I bought & a few exclusive ones. -
One thing I really like doing for inspiration is checking out town set ups on YouTube. They give you everything you need.espe silly good, in some cases, for little extra bits you didn't even think of.

Same here. *fingers crossed* I finally had a problem two years ago when I bought Detective's Office. One of the large dark grey plates was bent. Sometimes it just takes a god scavenging to find it. Or, a different point of view. There have been time where I couldn't find a piece, so I get up & look from the other side of the table...only to find it right in front of where I was sitting...

Depending on where you place your tables, the best set up for City/Creator sets(since they have open backs) is to face them forward at the best perspective. Here's an older version of my layout.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Vindicare replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Hmm...I'd say it's between Cafe Corner & Green Grocer. Without Cafe Corner I don't think I would've got back into LEGO like I did. Green Grocer because I love the exterior so much. It reminds me of an old Victorian in some aspects. -
What do you guys do with instructions? My old method, large heavy duty plastic bags divided by themes in a stack of drawers, is overfilling & I need a new way.

The store I went to get mine was very orderly about it, almost strict. They came out about twenty minutes before opening to tell us they would be behind the register & it was one per person. You had to buy it right then, couldn't hold it at the counter while you shopped. The latter I understand, to avoid confusion. Man, it's really amazing. What a worthy set for ten years. I hope we get a gym n the future with all these sweets we got in there.
