  1. Wow, this is amazing. Just looking at the transformation from this page is wonderful. Very interesting & a neat idea to use that gravel. The more I see LED's, the more I want to use them too.
  2. Going off Lego Shop, and consolidating a bit(making Marvel & DC one under Superheroes, making Creator one instead of two) Classic beats Licensed by one(I'm not including Brickheadz in the count either). I didn't add Juniors, Duplo, Ideas...as they have both. Then I didn't add Simpsons or Ghostbusters, as neither are full lines. I think, in the case of the OP, it's more on you than TLG. Their current offerings aren't to your liking. Which I understand. Creator, specifically houses, are very lacking to me. I long for the days of Model Town House, Apple Tree House, and the like. Not the open backed ones of today. I admire the facades of them, just wish they weren't open backed. It's funny, just last night I was reminiscing on the great "one and done" Action themes of late- Pharaoh's Quest, Monster Fighters, Dino... Superheroes is the line, as an adult, that frustrates me most. Getting all the weird vehicles, understanding because clearly kids like them, is even more frustrating when we get beauties like the Ultimate Bridge Battle, and to a lesser extent, the Daily Bugle. As a whole, I'm still very pleased with LEGO's offerings as a whole. But, it will be nice to see Classic Castle, Space, and Pirates again.
  3. That would be pretty cool...have it open on click hinges, on 2 16x16 plates. It could have a few little areas with some creatures.
  4. For the VIP early release, is it only on the 14th or is it available from then on? I ask because I plan on buying during the 22nd on promo to get Lloyd. My brain is acting up... I haven't done an early release buy in some time.
  5. "Two." Yeah okay...
  6. 70916 The Batwing 10254 Winter Holiday Train Saw the new Falcon...
  7. Ha, yes! Nice one @Oky.
  8. I think the hair color is fine, it was lighter in the last movie. However, as she had her hair in a braid, I think the closest they could've used would be the new-ish pony tail, like on Maria Hill in the Helicarrier.
  9. I'm a bit torn at the moment...trying to decide between the Thor Ragnarok sets or the Holdiay Train(IF they even have it)upon my visit next week. I collect mainly City(this includes Modular & WV stuff), & Superheroes, I do own every WV set but I'm not a huge train guy, having the three exclusives plus Hogwarts Express most recent offering. Stupid decisions...
  10. The Dimensions Hermione is fantastic...the best part about her was that she finally got her own- and extremely accurate- outfit.
  11. There really is so much untapped potential. They could treat it like they are the Superheroes theme, take from both comics, TV, and movies. Fingers crossed. We need a Peeves for the castle. Rather, an updated Peeves.
  12. Boy, picking my least favors is difficult...I chose the Scarecrow Fearful Attack simply because we have two Scarecrow sets. But I really love all of them. My favorite I put The Scuttler. I'm both love the vehicle & the Ivy figure-she's my favorite of the theme. But, it may get dethroned when I get The Batwing in a few weeks. Riddler Riddle Chase, Batcave Break-In, and Joker Low Rider are the other top in the five that I own.
  13. Yeah, how is Luna supposed to show up for school without losing 10 points for Ravenclaw...
  14. Looking for other options for storing my collection. As it sits I have 9 long & 8 short boxes taking up room...and I have stacks not even in boxes yet. What other methods, if any, do you all recommend?
  15. They somewhat did that with the final wave, with releasing the Battle of Hogwarts sets a year after releasing the Castle. Not that that means anything towards the future, but it would be nice. Older sets, if I remember correctly, could be joined(although that may have been the years' different castles). I hope this rumor is true. I was looking back at the older sets & got envious of all the figs they made that are due for remakes. And the glaring omission of the other two houses uniforms. Hell, we could even get scarves now too. I know we all have mile long lists of sets they should've done or need remakes of... But a new Shrieking Shack, and more Diagon Alley shops are most needed.
  16. I like it. I thought it has a nice Harry Potter Hogsmeade feel to it. I like that the price isn't too terrible, the set is on the smaller side, as it should be. Really digging the continuity with the mailbox. Wish they'd do that with the lampposts.... Edit...why couldn't they make the early release on the 22nd?!
  17. I've got nothing other than...wow! That beach is looks my awesome. The foliage is quite impressive as well. What a massive undertaking. I'm always in awe of builds of this magnitude.
  18. I don't think so. It seems to me that when a new, large set is released, you get a pretty even mix of those who like or love it to those who don't.
  19. Honestly, considering minifigs we've gotten thus far, I wouldn't really count these out of the realm of possibility. Deadpool' a psychotic killer. Deathstroke is Mercenary with an itchy trigger finger. Carnage is a deranged serial killer. You could certainly argue that comic books aren't as mainstream as TV is... Deadpool is in the scope now because of the movies.
  20. Good to hear about Dark Disciple...I own it and it's on my list. But it keeps getting pushed down because other books I buy. Maybe I'll have to give it a bump.
  21. No SW in my future...the Batwing & Bus Station are on the menu.
  22. 70607 Ninjago City Chase 76076 Captain America Jet Pursuit
  23. Looking at the next couple months calendars and aside from the SW specific, there's no double VIP points until....when? I saw October's of last year had it, can we expect the same this year? Gonna make a big purchase and am curious if I should hold off.
  24. Lego has made leaps & bounds in recent years to cater to adults. Nearly every Licensed theme adults flock to. Sure, some of the builds are lackluster or repeats, but part of the point to LEGO is to use your imagination to build what you want. They can't & shouldn't cater to a niche market, say the Chestbuster, for example. Perhaps they should broaden what could be accepted on Ideas to include subjects like that, as that would be a great identifier to whether or not that would sell. They certainly have a bit of a mystery stand when it comes to characters, although said characters involve fantasy violence as opposed to real world violence. Deadpool for example. I'm more surprised they made Carnage than Deadpool... Look at Voltron. Sure, they have a new show to sort of piggyback on, but not everyone has Netflix nor knows of the exclusive content they offer. Plus, it's based on the 80's cartoon. SO, there's no real reason Bubble Bobble guys couldn't be done through there.
  25. Oh no! The Red Hood is back! What nefarious dealings is he involved in now?! Another fun update, well done. I look forward to the next.
