  1. I guess it was the 2007 nostalgia blindness! Your version does look very good regardless
  2. I agree it's a bit colorless, but that's how big cities IRL are like, and by extension Coruscant.
  3. It lego looks pretty good. I have a soft spot for the N-1, but I think the wings are a bit too short. I think size wise, they're fine, but maybe they could be a bit longer. Maybe it's just because the 2007 one was my first lego set....
  4. The last Tie was in almost perfect minifig scale.
  5. Another one?!?! Well, I guess we should get used to the Constraction sets...
  6. Wow. Lots of early morning news. I love the Tydirium, but I wish we got some better shots. The final duel looks good as well, but I'm not a big fan of Darth's helmet. It looks a tad too big. I was pleasantly surprised by the Flash Speeder, as it's a good sized set. I want to love the Naboo Starfighter, but it doesn't look like anything new. The big figures don't look absolutely awful, but I'd rather gouge my eyes out than buy one. The cruiser from rebels looks great, and a sure buy. I like the selection in the advent calender, but the Stormie is a nice addition. I get one every year, and this year won't be an exception. The UCS Tie looks OK, but the only interesting thing about it is the pilot, with a new helmet and ARM PRINTING!!!! Maybe this will become more of a staple for Lego Star Wars. Who knows. Now I can't wait for TFA sets...
  7. I'd look through a minifig list on BrickLink, and then add them to your wanted list.
  8. It's actually not too hard. I've buit lots of TIE's (mostly digital) using a slightly modified version of 9492's wing panels. I've also built Corwaille's fantastic Tie interceptor, which uses the same technique. There should be a link to one of my Tie's in my signature, where you can get an LFX with the solution. (Totally not a self promotion...) Hope I helped you out!
  9. No problem. That sounds about right.
  10. This looks great! I've been working on modding my 75082 and I realized just how much I love the new windscreen pieces. I would suggest replacing all of the DBG parts on the cockpit with LBG versions. I've done so and it looks very nice.
  11. Most are system scale, sometimes known as minifig scale. UCS sets are much larger, and certain ones (like the Slave 1) are in close to perfect minifig scale.
  12. This is amazing! How easy would it be to turn this into a Boba Fett? That would look just as good. I love everything, about this model, especially the brown bags. Keep up the good work!
  13. I would first try google images, but I would also look in the MOC index here on the Star Wars Forum. It should be under the EU MOC section.
  14. Well, the wheels can crush things in its path. It can go over more types if terain than say, the AT-TE because of its suspension and wheels.
  15. Just picked up the inquisitor's Tie and the hailfire droid to get my hoth Han. Both sets are great, as is the Han minifig. I can't wait to start modifying the Tie, though!
  16. Looks good! I really like your work on the columns. If it was a set, I would probably buy it, but I might also pass. It really depends on price and figs.
  17. Looks really nice! I love the classic look of it. The blue complements the grey fantastically. Keep up the great work!
  18. When did it show up? I saw another landing craft, but no police gunship.
  19. Thanks! I totally agree about the landing gear. I'll probably go back and fix it soon. Mainly I kept it because it was a) convientent, and b) worked well with the folding door of the troop bay. I might reuse the landing gear from my shuttle, as it would probably work well and I think it looks pretty nice.
  20. The windscreen looks perfect now! I'd definitely buy this. I already supported it, so here's to it reaching 10,000!
  21. Thanks! I mostly kept it in for ease of access, so that the troops would be easy to get out IRL. I'm not sure if I'll ever be happy with the cockpit, but for now it'll have to do.
  22. Hi guys! Today I have my latest LDD work, an imperial landing craft. When I first started using LDD, I tried my hand at modding a 7659, which I never completely finished. In light of this, about 2 months ago I started a new version of the landing craft. This time around, I decided to make sure it wasn't just a 7649 with a better interior. I started off using a 7649 as a base, but it quickly developed into it's own thing. Here's a quick change log of what I did. New Cockpit Removed the turning mechanism (kinda) Redesigned Interior Lengthened troop bay New wings (all 3) Many cosmetic changes You can find all of the pictures on my Flickr, or the album here. You can download the LFX file on my Brickshelf, or here. Without any further ado, here are the pictures! Enjoy! Imperial Landing Craft by GuyDudeMan27, on Flickr I've kept the landing gear from the original model, mainly because of the troop bay. (We'll see that soon) Landing Craft Back by GuyDudeMan27, on Flickr From the back, you can see the new engines. Also note the lack of the gear mechanism. I've kept the interior gears, which should still work, but you'd need to manually turn the gear on the bottom. That decision caused me great pain when getting the wings in position for the renders Landing Craft Interior by GuyDudeMan27, on Flickr Finally, we have the troop bay! I designed it so that it can hold 14 stormtroopers (or rebel scum ) and one officer at his console. The sides flip down for easy deployment. I kept in the original mechanism for deploying the troop bay, but changed the color of the piece from red to white. (I've checked and all the parts are available) It also holds guns for all of the troopers. This pretty much wraps up the model. Any C&C are very welcome!
  23. It's killing me! I can't stand to wait anymore. I hope with this picture we'll see the others as well.
  24. I don't think so. The neck is too short. I would like to see lama su though...
  25. Your doing it right, but I don't understand the quantity issue. You can also upload it to some other programs, for different reasons. I also posted the LFX, so if you wanted to you could make your own XML, assuming you have software that can convert it. If you don't, I'd use LDD manager.
