  1. The suspension got used on this http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/378351 And I planned to use that suspension for a RC fig scale tank but after finding out that the battery that I planned to use (old 9v 4x8x2 battery) but it turns out that that battery doesn't work with IR receivers. The only way to make it work would be to modify a PF cable and I wasn't ready to do that.
  2. with the suspension that I posted it only takes 2 of the counterweight bricks to make the suspension work for 5 road wheels per side .(not sure how much weight That is but it's lighter that a battery box).
  3. if you use long ones i don't think that you would have too much of a problem with deflection.
  4. Here's some compact suspension that I made for a fig scale tank Lego independent suspension for small tanks by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr Lego independent suspension for small tanks by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr
  5. I personally think that is a good idea to post stuff because you never know, your MOC could be the only build of a certain vehicle/thing.
  6. well the tires don't have too much deflection (unless you use large ones, and for shocks i find that stiff ones work well for heavy models and if you plan to have lots of axles and wheels soft shock absorbers work well for that.
  7. The only problem that I have is if you look at the end of my post on my panther on mocpages is kinda a problem. Because I won't be able to build anymore builds past September. I ment to say July instead of June in my earlyer post.
  8. the boom looks really complex with the rigging.
  9. You think you could start in June? Because that's about when I will start building it. Also this thing is quite large it's like 60 studs long. That's in 1/15th scale, I might leave my stug together so I can tow it.
  10. It's gonna be a while, I'm still working on a STuG Ausf. F and a Tiger I H.
  11. nice build, very compact. yes it's "very stable with outriggers"
  12. It looks as if the cable mounting point on the boom can be slid downwards. And I'm also thinking on having something to apply pressure on the feet of the outriggers.
  13. Maybe something with axles for taking appart different sections of the boom ( there are 3 parts on the left side) and I think the outriggers are removable.
  14. The only problem is how to build a sting boom that is able to be taken appart ando have no clue how to do the rigging for the cables.
  15. I'm planning on building a RC 1/15 Sd kfz 9 famo. The features that are planned are front suspension, torsion bars for rear, 2 speed transmission (possibly), winch (possibly) and braked diffrential for steering. Variants 9/1 with 6 ton crane Might be difficult to fit the motors in the traverse for crane 9/2 with 10 ton crane I think this one is the most interesting but I'm not sure what happens to the boom during transport. 18t sfl flak 37 Folding sides and flak 37 88mm in middle
  16. It also depends on Size and if you decide to have locking diffs on the axles.
  17. here is a teaser of how fast it can go
  18. Well here's my 2nd MOC posted here on Eurobricks The all mighty Panther Ausf. G in 1/15 scale will full RC functions. Lego Panther Ausf. G 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr and another pic of it with my cat James for fun. Lego Panther Ausf. G 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr more Pics and info here http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/388236
  19. Maybe a M1070 HET, it has a interesting trailer setup with wheels.
  20. I will be posting that sometime today after school.
  21. Well it turns out in my design I had 1 too many gears because I don't have any 3 wide diffs so it does indeed work.
  22. I meant to say that it's fixed to the elevation worm gear.
