Well, I picked up a LEGO set that looked suspiciously similar in design to the AT-AT (a mammoth walker), so I couldn't resist combining it with a snowspeeder and doing this quick Star Wars themed cross-theme funny LEGO Star Wars Single Pane comic - Wrong AT-AT by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr

Thanks for this info Starrocks! Just when I thought I had finished my summer Chima fig collection yesterday, these two come along and make my life harder For ease, I've linked directly to those building instructions from LEGO's cache: Frax's Phoenix Flyer Sykor's Ice Cruiser The figs could be either in the next Speedorz sets, or there's the possibility of another limited retail set perhaps, after all 70148 is free in the set number sequence...

Certainly. The torso is actually a similar construct to the original set, just added some bits onto it and took away the 9L beam where the spike gimmick used to be mounted. Some pictures of the MOD without the torso armour might actually be more useful in showing the torso construct, but I also took one of a capeless Fangar from the back: LEGO Chima - CHI Sir Fangar MOD 6 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr LEGO Chima - CHI Sir Fangar MOD 7 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr LEGO Chima - CHI Sir Fangar MOD 8 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr

So it does, oops! I thought I'd fixed all the links earlier, but I've fixed the Fang Gang link in the original post now so it should take you to the relevant download page of the microsite. I'd mistook the computer file address for the direct download link originally (still getting used to a new browser!), in case you're wondering how on earth such a link got there in the first place. Anyway, back on topic slightly: nice Mixel Leewan!

I can see your point Lyichir, so I removed all those offending pieces you describe to see if it makes a difference. This is what it looks like with the tail ends and some of the back armour removed: LEGO Chima - CHI Fluminox MOD 6 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr LEGO Chima - CHI Fluminox MOD 7 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr I did consider using the other connector block for the wing connection (like Vardy uses), but it doesn't fit with Fluminox's shoulder armour unfortunately, which is a shame as I could have used a larger shell on the back with the other connector. I guess sometimes less is more though. The gaps in the torso still don't look too bad even with the tail ends removed. I'm also limited by my limited parts library as I didn't buy a second Fluminox (like I did with Fangar). I could have used a 3M shell on the wing connector though, but that didn't look very good anyway due to the asymmetry. Anyway, thanks for the comments. If you're wondering what the crossbow string uses, it's this new dewback bridle piece, borrowed from my Dewback Maybe when I get some more beast feet, I might also be able to give Fluminox some real talons, rather than the static Piraka feet (p.s. sorry about the pictures in this post - it's nearly midnight where I am so I had to take these with the flash on, but they should show what I want them to show )

A very warm welcome to Eurobricks rancorbait! You'll have a great time here, but you already know me as a good friend from the Brickset forums Look forward to seeing your contributions here!

Hello again! I'm back with another MOD, this time it's a mod of 70211 CHI Fluminox, which to be honest was in desperate need of modding once I'd built it from the instructions. You can see my first MOD, which was of the other Chima Titan CHI Sir Fangar, here. So here it is: Front: LEGO Chima - CHI Fluminox MOD 1 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Side: LEGO Chima - CHI Fluminox MOD 2 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Back: LEGO Chima - CHI Fluminox MOD 3 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Focus on weapon: LEGO Chima - CHI Fluminox MOD 4 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Pose: LEGO Chima - CHI Fluminox MOD 5 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Again, it stays relatively truthful to the original set, but still boasts a variety of MODs: Most of the gaps in the torso were filled out, especially at the neck, sides and pelvic area, which involved adding a lot of Technic inside the torso to achieve what you see. A few extra shells were added to the back, and the connection for the 4M shell was moved down a little to make room for the piece used for wing articulation. The ugly wing gimmick was removed and replaced with a set of articulate ball joints, and the wings themselves got another set of stylized feathers to make them appear fuller. The second set of friction joints were removed from the ankle joints to reduce the leg length and thus reduce the apparent "gangliness" Modded the weapon and transformed it from a longbow to a crossbow. This also allows for easier posing, since Fluminox no longer needs both hands to hold the weapon. Added a flaming feathered bird tail. The outer two stylized flames can move inwards and outwards, useful for flight poses. Comments are very welcome, and like with my Sir Fangar MOD, you're welcome to borrow some of my ideas to improve your own Fluminox. Extra pictures available on request. And lastly, enjoy!

That's very strange. I can download them all just fine. Maybe these links will work better? Frosticons Max Flexers Max Fang Gang Max If you still can't see them, then it might be the browser you're using. I'm using Google Chrome if that helps.

That's quite a nice model, but if you don't mind me asking, where does the trans-clear Hero Factory weapon barrel that you use in the chest of the Jaeger come from? I don't think I've ever seen one before.

Instructions of the Series 2 Maxes (and some new Mixes and Murps) are up on the Mixels microsite!

Unfortunately I tend to be a constraction set completist, so my answer to what sets I'll be buying from the summer wave is all of them That said, I will probably pick up all the beast sets first since they are by far my favourites, but I'm just hoping that the Queen Beast set doesn't turn out to be £34.99 in the UK, but knowing LEGO's love of placing pound signs in front of a set's US dollar value... it's fairly likely . Besides that, I like Queen Beast's design, Tunneler Beast is really attractive to me and I really like the colour scheme of the Crystal Beast (but I'm tempted to mod it so it's almost completely translucent). Out of the mechas (excluding Evo's in Queen Beast), I think I'll get Breez's machine first.

New Technic Part?
TheOneVeyronian replied to Zimix's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes, this part is brand new, I was the person that added it to BL actually . I actually found it in this Chima Speedorz set (of all places!) which I bought a few weeks ago, but I don't know if this appears in any of the summer Technic sets yet. I guess time will tell. Hope this helps! -
Hello Chris! It's about time I finally got you to come over here! Yes, I was that very friend CapnRex101 mentioned who gave him the idea to come here, but anyway, welcome to Eurobricks! You'll like it very much here

No problem, borrow all you like, but I would recommend waiting for Sir Fangar's inventory to appear on Bricks and Pieces, rather than buy two Fangars like I did (well, I had a reason to buy two, I needed a second cape for soemthing else and they won't sell capes directly ). I plan to work my magic on CHI Fluminox as well, which I'll hopefully pick up tomorrow if my local LEGO Store has it, but I personally think that set is crying out for a MOD even more than Fangar ever was...

The new Series 3 Mixels actually look really really good! But am I the only one who thinks that Glurt looks like he could be Jawg's long lost brother? (well, they both seem to share the same basic design, being quadrupedal dog-like creatures) Jokes aside, I think I actually like the Spikels the best, but I really do like them all. I never thought you could make scorpion based creatures look so cute!

Thanks. I borrowed those claws from the saber tooth vehicle from the System set 70146, which I've had for a little while now. I really need to get some more, I can't bear to declaw my MODded Fangar to put the claws back in the System set now

Hello! Now, I think 70212 CHI Sir Fangar is a decent set, but when I received a couple of the sets I couldn't help but fill in a few gaps where the set falls a little short. Here's what I got out of it: Front: LEGO Chima - CHI Sir Fangar MOD 1 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Side: LEGO Chima - CHI Sir Fangar MOD 2 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Back: LEGO Chima - CHI Sir Fangar MOD 3 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Back, cape lifted up: LEGO Chima - CHI Sir Fangar MOD 4 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Pose: LEGO Chima - CHI Sir Fangar MOD 5 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Okay, so it looks relatively similar to the original set, so let me list all the MODs I applied to this model: Filled in the gaps in the torso, especially at the sides where the spikes are, and put a Technic connector block near the neck to fill in a gap there. Done away with the back spikes gimmick and replaced with something more articulate. This also freed the third port in the tri-connector to add another set of spikes. Armoured and shaped the back, not only to give the cape some shape at the back but so the model looks good even with the cape off. Sorted the asymmetry in the model, added transparent armour to the lower arms and modded the paws to let them hold the staff. Added toe claws and some form of tail, and done away with the rather pointless second set of friction joints on the feet. Bulked up the neck and shoulder area with the Chima fur pieces, as well as moving the fur pieces originally on the upper arm to the shoulders, thus allowing the arms to move a bit more freely while still maintaining the original armour. Sorted out all the exposed axles on the staff by adding some Technic half bushes. Comments are very welcome, and you're more than welcome to try out my MODs on your own Sir Fangar, if you are planning to get one Extra pics available on request. Enjoy!

A few weeks ago I noticed the existence of a new Chima polybag 30265 in a set of Chima instructions. Well, now the polybag itself has been found (the info comes from Brickset). I've put the picture of it in a spoiler because it might be a little bit big. To be honest, it looks like the Worriz Redwolf Cycle

MOC: Modern-ish style British semi-detached house
TheOneVeyronian replied to TheOneVeyronian's topic in LEGO Town
Thanks. I did actually think long and hard about adding some guttering as it would definitely go some way to hiding the unintentional gaps in the roof, I think I will buy some parts for the guttering as soon as I'm done buying Summer 2014 sets, such a thing should be reasonably straightforward to install. Windowsills would be trickier as that would involve dismantling the vast majority of the house, which was surprisingly fiddly to put together in the first place . Actually, while I'm thinking about it, it is entirely possible for a second house to be built in the mirror image of this MOC to create a sort of semi-detached terrace, very similar to what you'd see in the UK. The side of the house that isn't photographed is the side that would be touching another house, so it's just brick on that side. I'd love to build a second to show that, but considering that this one house alone cost about £600 in parts to make, that won't be happening in real bricks anytime soon Maybe I can show that in LDD though if I can find the time -
Legends of Chima 2014 Discussion
TheOneVeyronian replied to Aethersprite's topic in LEGO Action Figures
For those in the UK, I happened to spot all 7 of the new Chima ultrabuilds out on the shelves in one of my reasonably local branches of the Entertainer (Kingston upon Thames if anyone's interested, but you may have luck in other larger branches too). This is the first time I believe I've seen these actually out on the shelves (as opposed to online), though they had the usual Entertainer markup of an extra penny. There was plenty left when I left with a Panthar and a Sir Fangar. Well, I've got a little bored of waiting for them to appear on the UK S@H (which, again, is the last place in the UK to see most of the new releases) but I don't think it will be too long now -
£89.99 if I remember correctly.

I admit that I always swoosh my flying models before they go to my display, or anything LEGO that's supposed to fly actually, including LEGO Pteranodons and LOTR eagles. If that sounds weird, I even found myself swooshing a temple* the other day. *It does sound really bizarre at first I guess, but it was this I was swooshing - and in it's transformed form it is surprisingly great for swooshing - and it also drops bombs

MOC: Modern-ish style British semi-detached house
TheOneVeyronian replied to TheOneVeyronian's topic in LEGO Town
First post updated with additional images. If there's a particular angle or shot that you'd like to see that isn't in the original post, then just ask me and I'd be more than happy to take some more photos and put them here. It's a big MOC, so even with the number of pictures I have, I may not have illustrated everything! -
LEGO CarBorgs - Ariel Dartmann 1 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Hello there! This is my second constraction CarBorg which I wish to present to you, for those of you who missed my first, you may see it here. This one has a face of a more obscure car than my first one, this one being based on the British sports/track car the Ariel Atom. Here's the backstory: The CarBorgs are a kingdom of intelligent biomechanical cyborgs whose faces resemble that of the front ends of various human creations commonly known as cars, and can take almost any form imaginable, though they most typically take humanoid forms. These creatures are grouped according to the make of car their faces derive from. The British CarBorgs show some of the most diverse ranges of these creatures on the planet, and perhaps one of the most bizarre of all the makes from the island are the Arielites, part-crocodile, part-human, part-scaffolding beings which are tall, skinny and have partly exposed torso skeletons to make them far lighter than regular CarBorgs, and this makes them lightning fast. One of the more well-known individuals is Ariel Dartmann, an Arielite athlete by day, a maniacal prankster by night. If something's amused him, everyone within 5 miles of him will know about it with his distinct hysterical laugh. LEGO CarBorgs - Ariel Dartmann 2 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr LEGO CarBorgs - Ariel Dartmann 3 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr LEGO CarBorgs - Ariel Dartmann 4 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr LEGO CarBorgs - Ariel Dartmann 5 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr LEGO CarBorgs - Ariel Dartmann 6 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr LEGO CarBorgs - Ariel Dartmann 7 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr As you can see, the model is extremely poseable, and his build means that he can even shrug his shoulders. The face is basically a Cragger head assembly with the red eye print removed. I was going for the skinny/lanky, almost skeletal look here, and I actually am quite happy with it. Well, that's it for now. I hope you liked this MOC

MOC: Modern-ish style British semi-detached house
TheOneVeyronian replied to TheOneVeyronian's topic in LEGO Town
It is admittedly on the larger scale. It definitely isn't modelled on my house either, my house is too small. Neither does it have One Direction CD's Thanks very much Of course, I think the windows are a tad small too, but I needed a specific segmented window style. A 5x8 window would have been ideal but unfortunately they don't exist yet I did also consider building it out of the masonry bricks to break up the exterior a bit, but went against it in the end. I don't even want to think about how much I spent on BL just to get it to the stage you currently see the house in But I think with this build I was going for interior detailing and function more than exterior detailing Thanks for all the nice comments guys
