  1. I have another suggestion: the ability to delete pages in the "Page Layout" view. When I'm moving things about in the layout, often moving last steps in a model so a whole submodel appears on one page, I'm often left with blank pages that I cannot delete. This isn't such a problem when exporting as PNG's (as I can then go and delete the blank PNG's in File Explorer before stitching it all together in programs such as Microsoft Publisher), but when you intend to export as a PDF, the blank pages are present in the resulting PDF file, which results in it being a bit of a waste and makes the instructions look a bit less professional. Of course, I personally export as PNG's in 90% of cases and use Publisher to add things, put it all together and export the end result as a PDF, but for those who primarily want to use PDF exports straight from Blueprint, the ability to delete blank pages may be useful.
  2. Of course, I'm always right In all seriousness though, it looks like a pretty solid figure. Not sure what to think about that helmet now I've seen a real life shot of it. Also, that's the only one that was shown? That's slightly disappointing, I was hoping to see some more
  3. Well, I finally got round to using the program, and I've got to say, I'm very impressed so far! My only real bugbear with it is that pasting submodels, and undoing creation of submodels seems to be painfully slow (it can take >1 minute to put a submodel somewhere else in the layout) compared to other actions such as moving steps. A function to be able to move whole submodels (not just steps within submodels) like you can normal steps would be welcome (rather than having to cut and paste them, which as I said is very slow and can make the program unresponsive), as everything else I've tried doesn't get submodels to move. Unless there's something obvious that I've completely missed of course
  4. I have several art and reference books about dragons (goes to show how nuts I am about dragons!), some of which have diagrams of their skeletons which ultimately served as a reference point for relative positions and proportions on this MOC. It's hypothetically anatomically accurate, it can't be truly anatomically accurate since dragons don't exist in real life
  5. Having read that, I realised I had enough spare Skull Spider legs in trans-orange to give Skull Scorpio back his orange pincers (thanks to me buying two extra Skull Slicers while I was in Brighton at the weekend) - I should have swapped them out but somehow I didn't think of trying it Interesting take on Skull Scorpio there. I'll be interested to see how it looks when it's finshed. If you can, I suggest squeezing in some Spring Yellowish Green barbs somewhere to distribute that mask colour a little bit more
  6. So, I grabbed some extra Skull Villains today and along with some extra silver Kaiju fins, I modded Skull Scorpio again, so now he has some bone bones on his legs! http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/TheOneVeyronian/MOCs/70794_skull_scorpio_mod_version_2.jpg (had to upload to Brickshelf as Flickr is currently refusing to let me upload anything The picture's too large to deeplink by the way) I think this version is somewhat an improvement over my last version, but what do you think?
  7. Thanks! I whipped up a quick LXF showing how the hands are built. If you're willing to pull an illegal building technique, this can make a compact 4 fingered hand, examples can be seen on my other MOC's Psycho and Katryna, the latter being the pioneer of this particular hand design. Despite how it looks, once it's built it holds together really well, and the bit that holds the weapons can also be removed without affecting the rest of the hand The unwanted clips can be banished if you're willing to cut some flex cable into 1M segments.
  8. In my own headcanon, Corphos is an insane and relentless mask collector who travels Okoto seeking out masks to add to his own private collection. His methods of obtaining them are not what you call "stealthy", instead preferring to use his 4 bladed Mask Ripper staff to literally rip the masks off anybody he comes across. Though on occassion he will disguise himself as a Toa or a Skull Villain in an attempt to be able to infiltrate certain locations. On this occcasion, after ripping the masks off a few Skull Warriors and a Skull Scorpio, he took their armour and put it on himself in an attempt to ultimately infiltrate the Mask Forge, befriend Skull Grinder Kulta and steal the Mask of Creation. So basically, this MOC came about after I bought an extra Skull Warrior and Skull Basher and was fiddling around with possible alternate builds for my sigfig at the same time, and I ended up with Corphos. Comments and constructive criticism are welcome
  9. Thanks again for the kind words, it is much appreciated I am currently amassing the parts needed for this project, but what with an order from the Netherlands containing crucial parts getting stuck in the post, as well as a new LEGO collab project and an artwork project taking up all my time, it's getting done slowly. I've built most of the spine so far and it actually holds up and the flex rod keeps the curvature surprisingly well. In a way, the real brick version is slowly getting underway.
  10. I got to admit, that intricate Oriental architecture on the Temple is exquisite, but there are two things that slightly sour it for me: 1. The price. £170 seems a little pricey to me, especially for the piece count. 2. The minifigs. I will admit I'm rather disappointed at the complete lack of villains in the set, but given that it's supposed to be a more peaceful scene, I can probably let that one slide. I might get this next year, my budget can't really stretch to this beauty at the moment. But I can seriously imagine this being in real demand at Christmas and be backordered to the latter part of January next year. LEGO have pulled off a stunner that hits almost all the right notes I think. Oh, and I did post this in the Ninjago 2015 thread but seems relevant here as well: for anybody wondering what the SDCC reveal is going to be on Friday, it seems that it IS the Temple as well. Seems this set will be on display at SDCC, so for those of you attending SDCC on Friday, seems like you're going to see this beauty in the flesh. Unless BZP have made a mistake in their reports of course...
  11. For anybody wondering what the SDCC reveal is going to be on Friday, it seems that it IS the Temple as well, and will be on display at SDCC. No 2016 Ninjago reveals sadly.
  12. Sorry, I wasn't aware we knew what themes were getting a reveal at SDCC So, from that, I would guess we might see a 2016 set. But I'm just going by what a friend told me, and he also told me the press release for the set was sent to the site he posts news for on Monday, and he told me it was going up on Wednesday. EDIT: Yep, my friend just confirmed to me that the Temple reveal is indeed scheduled to happen later today. Can't wait to see it!
  13. Friday is during SDCC, so I reckon it'll most likely be a 2016 set, following the patterns of previous SDCC years where we've got a first glance at next year's sets before, I'd hazard a guess that it's probably not a Ninjago set either. I don't think LEGO have ever revealed exclusive sets at SDCC before so that seems to lend credence to what I've been told My advice would be to keep checking sites like Brickset tomorrow
  14. Well, there goes any chance of me having a complete Bionicle 2015 collection I guess I can't pay SDCC exclusive prices. Makes me feel less bad that I didn't get the trans-clear Hau now though, but it's a pretty cool mask nonetheless.
  15. I recently received some word from a reliable friend of mine and can say that the Ninjago Temple is going to be revealed at some point tomorrow, and it's been described by him as "architecturally impressive" (he's seen it already), which sounds very encouraging. Sorry, I really don't know any more than that... I'm just hoping he really did mean to say Wednesday to me, given there's also rumours of a product being revealed on Friday which might or might not be the Temple Either way, guess it's time to guess what theme the Temple is going to be! I'm personally hoping for a Ghost themed temple, but it's more likely to be a Temple for the Ninjas I reckon.
  16. The more I look at this, the more I think the UK will not even get to see these even though they were at London Toy Fair. And today, I got excited to see listings for the robo-shark on BL, and got my hopes up, only to be absolutely devastated to see that the price of the robo-shark on BL has suddenly shot up from £2.75 to £12.50. Man, life, you can be so cruel (yes, I did just make reference to a song by Royal Blood there...) If there is even the vaguest hope left for us, I did notice some UK sellers on eBay selling the UA sets though, but the Ultrasonic Showdown was £25 and the Portal Hideout £68. Didn't check the Ocean HQ as I'm not so interested in it. Is it worth spending >£90 on these two sets? Or would it be cheaper to import them, even with shipping, and customs charging £8 + 20% of the value (unless I use eBay which can cut out the £8 part with their shipping programme)? Ho hum. I am sad to see such great sets not being given the chance they deserve though
  17. Seems everybody has the same issue with Skull Grinder Kulta (as I'm calling him from now on, even if it sounds like something straight out of Ninjago ): he can't hold up his weapon arm. In fact, recently I was talking to an EB member who asked me about my modifications to my Skull Grinder Kulta, and in an attempt to illustrate how I achieved extra friction, I made this mockup of the gear positionings that actually works in supplying friction when applied to just the arm holding the big weapon. The connector for the arms would still go through the topmost gear by the way. This is the optimal gear arrangement for maximum friction, any more gears and the gearbox would be pretty much rendered defunct as the gears would lock. For even more friction, this can be replicated on both sides of Kulta, or, alternatively, Onua's friction solution may also work quite well here. The best bit is that it's a really cheap fix too, the gears and connectors used cost just pennies on BL.
  18. A new foot piece would be welcomed by me with open arms, as would a hand piece with bars to let you attach things like Exo-Force robot arms so you can make poseable hands. In a dream world I'd also like CCBS shells in Earth Blue and bones in trans-clear (if the ghost wave rumours are true, it'd be a great time to do trans-clear bones as well as other new trans-colour bones). A transparent torso bone wouldn't go amiss (I can then finally build a completely transparent figure). I'd also like to see the Skull Villain's bone bones, torso shells and armour add-ons reused (maybe in a new moulded colour), it seems such a waste to only use them for one wave. Oh, and the round detail shell in black again please. My absolute favourite, I have at least 20 and it still isn't enough, and BL sellers can't stock them in high enough quantity
  19. I gut a response back from the email I sent them, just another reply saying they were sorry, they will become available at some point and they've passed on my complaint to the team at Bricks and Pieces. So it's just a waiting game again, I'd just periodically check the element ID on Bricks and Pieces, but when it's already dragged on for 2 months, it does start getting annoying If you want, you can try emailing them with the element ID of the MoCr (6115790). You might just get lucky if that's all you ask for Oh, and please do show pictures of your chromed MoCr once you do get it done - I think that would just be the most awesome thing in the world to see
  20. Well, I tried online for the Bionicle parts (it'd got too late to call them), but I have tried calling them in the past (not about the new Bionicle parts but parts from the Ninjago sets that I wanted), but only got a (false) promise that the new parts would be available by mid June, saying there was problems. To be honest, I don't see the new Bionicle parts being easy to order by any means. All I wanted was some extra "bone" bones for my Skull Scorpio mod and some extra Skull Grinder horns I sent them an email asking about their availability anyway, so we'll see what they say to me this time. Even just a note on Bricks and Pieces saying why 99.9% of new pieces (including all Bionicle pieces) are currently unavailable would be a good thing Well, by any means, looks like I'll definitely be picking up some extra Bionicle sets from the LEGO Store when I visit Brighton to meet a friend next weekend then!
  21. So the inventories for the new Bionicle sets are up on Bricks and Pieces... but every single new piece is unavailable to buy (and all of the pieces released in June are still unavailable despite multiple promises from LEGO they would be available by now). Seriously... why do I even bother complaining about their lack of availability to them? They never act on it
  22. Oh dear... My fears were right... they're going to be based on the movie. I would have preferred them to be regular minifigures (I was thinking "sandwich-board" design like what they did with the Ewoks), but nah, they had to be completely specialised minifigures. The egg definitely appears to be a separate piece (and one I am going to want to accumulate hundreds of - they seem perfect for dinosaur eggs). The bird design actually reminds me of the Power Miners rock monsters more than anything, and overall it isn't an absolutely terrible figure (the pigs you can see though really don't look good ) - I just think it's bad as I would have 100% preferred classic Angry Birds The fact it's movie-based has really reduced me to "might buy a set out of curiosity" - unless the sets are top-notch (I don't hold my breath though), I probably won't be buying.
  23. This made for a very interesting read and browse through. I love some of the concepts, and now I'm kind of tempted to try making custom figures of some of the tribe members we didn't get based on that concept artwork. By the way, Chapter 5 doesn't seem to work. It doessn't bring up anything, just the obligatory header and footer, and none of the links to the other chapters work there. Does anyone else have these issues? It's a shame, I love seeing some good fantasy landscape artwork myself.
  24. Are you both using Google Chrome? It might be a browser specific problem, since I tried dusting off Internet Explorer and loading Eurobricks in it, and lo and behold, there is the new banner. Odd, that's never happened before But given EB is practically unusable in IE, I'm continuing to use Chrome, summer banner or no summer banner p.s. the new banner is fantastic
  25. Hang on... there's supposed to be a new banner up? Why do I still see the old one even after I've cleared my entire cache in my browser then?
