  1. Hello LeeMcG, nice to meet you here too, I use the same name on the bricksetforum, so I think you can guess who I am :)
  2. Yes, 8455 definitely, see my comment earlier in this thread :)
  3. Yes, this set is legendary and it's what has brought me out of the dark ages. But there are sets after that that are equally ingenious, like the 8455; I'm still amazed by the amount of functions they could cram into that little tractor. There's also the 8043 which is also very clever from a technical point of view.
  4. Damned. I thought I was going to win the "cuteness" prize :)
  5. Now I respect you even more ... those Technic studded beams are getting rare you know (I actually own an 8880, it is what has brought be out of the dark ages ...)
  6. This one also states: "Technic, like in reality" ... but there are no pistons
  7. I really like this. Looks like an 8880 C model (which is where you got the most parts from, I assume)
  8. Decided to recreate it in LDD to see how many parts I've used already. Here is my WIP Trying to figure out the best way to implement the tilt mechanism for the fork and then I'm pretty much done :)
  9. Already had a suspicion you were creating a roller (since it was articulated and not a Volvo loader). Looks cool :)
  10. Cool MOC. Reminds me a bit of the very first MOC I created (way over 200 parts I guess)
  11. Indeed, I'm going for the cuteness prize :)
  12. I was going to build a helicopter, but someone is already building one. Then I decided to build a forklift, so I started to build one yesterday morning. Apparently someone on this forum is also building a forklift, so before getting accused for copy-cat, here is the progress I made yesterday morning. I guess we're allowed to have the same ideas
  13. What a great review for a great set. I can't wait to get my hands on one of those. Probably a very off topic question, but how do you take your pictures, because they are really, really good. I am trying to do some reviews myself, but my pictures are still poor :(
  14. Why did you post this? Even if this was true, it would be a big spoiler for all the people that still have to visit the tour.
  15. I think I have used the same store to purchase pneumatic hoses (they are soled per meter). I'm not sure I am a purist, but if you're building some kind of pneumatic model (like a dozer or excavator) I guess buying hoses per meter is the only thing you can resort to. When I was young you had to cut the pneumatic hoses yourself (8851 set), it is only in more recent sets that all hoses are pre-cut. And since all hoses are pre-cut, there's no way to build a pneumatic model with custom-length-hoses. Given the prices for soft axles, I don't see any problem in using "custom" pneumatic hoses instead. Just my 2cents :)
  16. @tibivi, mine didn't have the spare parts box either (and sariel did not mention this in his review either, if I recall correctly), must be specific for some countries ... :(
