I am trying to download the LXF file for this so I can build it but mocpages doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have a copy of the LXF file for this? (or is mocpages working for anyone else?)

It comes in the set Stephanie’s Sports Arena where you get one plus one extra. I wanted to order some in my last B&P order but they were not available/out of stock at that point.

The one I am least happy with is Poppy. There are torsos out there that would work better but they are all too hard to get (all from discontinued sets and all cost too much on Bricklink)

As part of the Kingsman 2 MOC I am working on, I have come up with some Kingsman 2 figs. Merlin, Eggsy and Galahad Champ, Tequila, Whiskey and Ginger Ale: Poppy's goons: Chefs/cooks that come out to fight in the big fight scene: Poppy and Charlie: If anyone knows of any heads/torsos/headgear/legs that would work better for these characters and that aren't hard to get, please be my guest and suggest them... I was gonna do Elton John but I dont think there is a single piece in all of LEGO that would work for an outfit that flamboyant (and no I am not interested in customs, just purist figs, maybe with a few BrickArms guns to account for the lack of weaponry in the LEGO universe) Apologies for the photo quality, its an overcast day and the lighting isn't so good (plus my camera isn't the worlds best at taking closeup photos and I cant afford a top of the line DSLR with a proper macro lens :)

Last Airbender would be a lot more appropriate for TLG than a film that features attempted genocide of an entire species using high-tech military helicopters and battle suits. Star Wars, LOTR and other themes TLG have done aren't "modern military" (the closest they got was some of the stuff in Indiana Jones). Avatar and the human vehicles are most definitely close to "modern military" (even if the vehicles are a little bit ahead of what is possible today)

The order I placed a few days ago is now "in warehouse" (just B&P, no other stuff)

The order I placed yesterday is saying "in process" right now (which makes sense given that its the Easter weekend and the EU warehouse probably doesn't have people working on Easter Sunday/Easter Monday)

The 1x1 stud in titanium metallic as well as the legs in titanium metallic have only been used in licensed Star Wars sets and Marvel sets and its possible that they are somehow considered "licensed parts" and that's why they aren't for sale on B&P (I am always after nifty parts in titanium metallic so its a pitty these aren't for sale) Finally got my Bricks & Pieces order placed, some nice pieces in this order including things I wouldn't have expected to be able to buy (the torso with the union jack vest, the friends tent piece, the ring weapon thing from Black Panther and the black bat-kayak) Hopefully it gets here before the 12th of May since there are parts in it that I want to use in my MOCs for the train show. The theme for this year is "movies" and I am building MOCs based on Kingsman The Golden Circle, hence the Union Jack torsos which might come in handy (I already have the umbrella from a previous order and that will be very useful :)

Bought this today from the Dreamworld LEGO store and its awesome, even at the price I paid for it (Although I am a HUGE TRON fan and this was always "shut up and take my money" territory ever since I first saw that it was greenlit for production)

I suspect the high cost of a building that big would make it difficult to green-light as an Ideas set. The most expensive Ideas set to date has been the Fishing Store at $150. Factoring in the fact that Ideas sets tend to cost more than other similar sets, I bet a modular would cost at least $200 (in the US) and that's a hard sell for a product that gets limited production and a limited release (especially one without the appeal of something like Voltron). Plus with 5 modulars already on the shelves right now and several other large buildings (GBHQ, Old Fishing Store, Big Ben, Ninjago City) how would an Ideas modular fit in.

The cab in Kingsman doesn't have any ads on it so that isn't any help :)

That looks perfect (other than the doors which I will need to do something with since I dont own any of those in black :)

My guess is that the marketing and focus group testing and retailer feedback and etc suggests that certain themes (farm, circus, zoo, safari for example) work better as Duplo sets than as regular LEGO sets. What I observed suggests the last farm sets weren't the most popular things out there.

I found a few interesting torsos while going through the Brickset database and building the list of parts I might want (to then turn into an actual order), looks like they have a new variant of the doctor torso (not for sale right now), possibly the Barista torso (also not for sale and its unclear if its different or just a different element ID), white shirt/blue overalls torso (showing up as for sale right now), white shirt/blue jacket and orange stripes (not for sale), medium blue Hawaiian shirt with the 2 palm trees (for sale), medium blue jumper with grey belt, scarf and white gloves (also for sale) and blue and white vertical stripes with red bow-tie (also for sale). The re-designs aren't anything major but they look interesting and I might add some to my next order (the Hawaiian shirt in particular) just to see what I get (if I get the old version, so be it :) That dark blue torso with the union jack vest on it is also showing up as for sale right now (at least for me) as is the rock & roll guy from the Downtown Diner, the guy with the hook from the Arkham Asylum set and the torsos from the Old Fishing Store.

I LOVE it and will be there at the Dreamworld LEGO store on the Saturday to pick up my copy. $50 (Australian price) isn't bad for what it is. Its more expensive because its an Ideas set (so they have to spread the development costs over a smaller number of sets), its a Disney license (so that will push up the cost) and its got a large number of printed parts and recolors (quite a few of which will probably not show up again in any other set so less product to spread the fixed cost of producing those printed parts and recolors over)

I think LEGO should make the next "fun in" set "fun in the snow". People on skis, ice skates and snowboards. Small snowmobile. Husky dog. Ice Hockey being played. A bunch of new winter clothes (jackets etc). Maybe a small stand doing hot drinks. Oh and have at least one of the people in the set wearing a ski mask to keep out the cold (I am surprised we haven't seen a balaclava in a City set before, either as head protection for the likes of race car drivers or as a disguise for the many criminals that inhabit LEGO City)

Does anyone have the part number for the really bright pink shirt with the white lettering, the M:Tron shirt, the shirt with the red fish on it or the leather jacket and stripy shirt (all from TLNM)? I can't find them in the Brickset or B&P database at all.

I use Brickset (and its nice browse and search features) to find the IDs for the parts I am considering ordering from Bricks & Pieces. I then use Bricklink for those parts where Brickset is (for some reason) missing a picture or where the Brickset picture isn't good enough to identify if the part is worth ordering.

Does anyone have any ideas (instructions or really good models that I can copy) for building a London Taxi (black cab) in 6-wide? I can find a few things online but they are out-of-scale (too big/small), not detailed enough or the pictures dont give enough info that I could make my own. I am working on some MOCs for Kingsman The Golden Circle and I want a black cab for that one scene :)

I think my budget can finally stretch to that Bricks & Pieces order :) Hopefully the parts I want/need are still available...
