THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!
jonwil replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Pirates
If I had the money (its not easy to find the right job here in Australia even before this virus mess and its even harder now) I would be all over this set. But since I don't have the money (and since I already own a re-issue Black Seas Barracuda) there is no way I can justify this purchase at this point. -
Neither of those aliens appear to be LEGO (although I couldn't tell you what they actually are)

I wouldn't be so sure about Seinfeld not getting approved, the show is still going strong and getting lots of viewers through TV reruns (myself included). Licensing might be a factor though (Friends and Big Bang Theory are both owned by Warner Bros and LEGO has a really good relationship with Warner across a number of IPs so the licensing was probably easier)

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

IIRC they said that due to the virus they have had to cut the number of staff. So it makes sense to stop the orders that are not necessary and instead have their staff mostly focused on replacement pieces for those who need them due to missing parts in a new set. Once the virus situation in Denmark or whatever country B&P is packed in is over, I am sure they will bring back more workers and re-open the service. -

I love the safari truck, great set, glad I bought one. -
The supermarket heist would be great, makes me think of that one scene in Police Academy 2 :)

Anyone know what color the gold bars in the treasure chest are? Guessing Perl Gold (as seen in the new-for-2020 City police chase set) but I am not 100% sure just from the photos. -

Picked up the Lambo 2 pack today, its awesome and definitely the best Speed Champions set to date IMO. -

Given the way LEGO has used the coaster track in sets like the Heartlake City Resort and that rocket launchpad, I see no reason you couldn't use it to build some sort of monorail-style bigger set. Heck, that Bricklink special set program already did it last year IIRC. -

I am not as enthused by this as I am by the original submission (mostly because I already have a reissue Black Seas Barracuda and various other pirate/nautical/boat/etc parts) so this will probably go lower on the wish list (especially with so many other things I want including the upcoming Sesame Street set and things like the Technic Lambo due out later in the year). -
They still had the BaM bins and PaB wall at the store I was at yesterday although IIRC they had removed the bricks from the play table.

The Black Widow helicopter is already available here in Australia (I saw it in a LEGO store a while back) and at a fairly good price too (unlike that other helicopter with the white-suit Hulk in it which is way overpriced) -

Just a heads up for anyone interested, everything rare or hard to get from that promotional steam engine is available on Bricks & Pieces except the torso and the sticker sheet. -

It pays to check Bricklink before you buy from Bricks & Pieces and it also pays to check B&P before buying from Bricklink. There are times when parts are a fair bit cheaper on Bricklink than on B&P (for example per my notes from my last order the vet clinic printed glass from last years Corner Garage was cheaper on Bricklink than on B&P, as were the windows/glass from last years Knight Bus) and there are times when parts are cheaper on B&P than on Bricklink (the black magicians hat from the above loot shot is a great example) -

Very happy with LEGO customer support. The flashing light and siren piece in the police station I bought the other day didn't work properly, contacted customer service and they are sending me a new one no questions asked. -

Am I the only one who thinks that the CMF Sea Captain's hat (in the right color/print) would be perfect for an airline pilot's hat? -

Based on the reviews I have seen of the polybag in question, it seems like the polybag contains 11 of these printed tiles, each of which is random. I suspect if you buy that element from B&P you will get the same thing (one tile, print being random) -

Finally found a decent discount on the new police station and added it to my collection :) I do wonder why super-cop Duke Detain would be playing ping-pong with a master criminal like Daisy Kaboom though. -

Too bad licensing issues prevent LEGO doing a Marvel CMF series, if they could do a marvel CMF series it would let them make characters that would never otherwise be in a set (as they did with the Batman and DC series where we got characters like Clock King or Bat-Mite) -

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
jonwil replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
So I had an order placed on 22/01 that shipped on 29/01 and hadn't shown up by 12/02. Contacted LEGO and they filed a replacement order. Original order showed up the next day but it was too late to cancel the replacement parts. (which LEGO told me I could keep if/when they showed up) Original order was missing 2 of the heads from the birthday clown which LEGO organized to ship me in a third order. Just today the replacement order, the one sent to replace the "missing" order (which was actually just really delayed) arrived. Its got all the parts it should have (including the 2 birthday clown heads) but its also got 50 of part 6177135 (1 x 2 grille brick in sand blue) that aren't on the packing list and that I never ordered in any order made from B&P. So another order that's not what it should be (extra parts in this case). I do wonder though if someone out there is going to get their order and find its missing 50 sand blue grille bricks... :) And of course the third order (containing just the 2 birthday clown heads) will probably show up soon as well :)
